TEENS: What do you plan to do after High School?
I'd like to go to uni to do medicine, I want to eventually be a paediatric oncologist, I've had leukaemia twice and lost a friend to brain cancer, so I'm passionate about the subject, I want to help kids going through what I went through. I reckon it'll help to have a doctor that can relate I'm doing a gap year before that though (if I get into uni) because with everything thats happened, I need a break. I'm going to try and get a part time job and save up some money, go on holiday with my mates, and generally have fun for a year, before the real work starts! In terms of relationships, I've been with my girlfriend almost a year, so who knows what the future holds for us. Eventually I'd like to get married and have kids too =)
What are the best performing arts-intensive high schools in Canada?
Apart from a keen focus on academics, various creative activities are taught that engage the mental and intellectual faculties of our students. Dance & Performing Arts at sarvottam international school http://www.sarvottamnoida.com/da...
Is PAFA art school as good as it sounds? I’d think with the relationship with UPenn, the school would have a very low acceptance rate, but it has a high acceptance rate.
It’s like the best kept secret in art school.Amazing academy education and you can pop on over and get your UPenn on.Why would you go anywhere else? It’s an amazing loophole in the universe and you don’t even need a portal gun. Best back door the the ivys other than Princeton’s community audit programPro tip: to save money you can take only the night classes at both places. I would do that for a while before committing the $$$$$I’m super successful now I loved the education I got there. My one caveat is that you will actually learn to draw and paint old school. 0il paint, old school prints like the masters, cast drawing like its 1885. There’s few classes in garbage assemblage or performance art. I can draw and paint very well and know I can create money from my work. The focus is on art that people use for the last 200 years like portraits, decorative or my favorite bronze sculpture. I do decorative watercolors now and I’m killing it.
How strict are the bouncers at 19+ clubs in Toronto on girls?
Bouncers are very strict with clubs these days, it's because the government is cracking down on sales to underage children and suspending LLBO's - Liquor Licenses. It'd be very hard to get in because not only will a bouncer deny you, sometimes police officers will show up to clubbing events and ask to see your ID. - Hired off-duty police by the clubs. They will ALWAYS ID you, no matter how old you are. - They'll also scan your license, with a reader. Fake ID's never really work out, they're just terrible. - Especially the ones Downtown, Toronto. - Novelty ID's. I remember when I was back in high school, 3-4 years ago... kids in senior year got fakes, but it really only worked once. You can't be from Washington and buy beer every week at the LCBO. What kids did in senior year was they would ask older siblings for ID's - The ones that looked like them, in order to gain access to clubs/bars. - Police started in 2009 - cracking down on the G1/G2 licenses being passed down to younger children by older siblings. - Niagara region - Toronto - That was after the license change in Ontario from hologram to the new hologram + added security features. The best thing to do would be to wait until you're 19... it's not that much longer really. I never had a problem with that because I joined the military at 16 and they'd always let me in wherever. - I don't encourage this as a way to gain access to clubs though. - They also ask for a second piece of ID, some people of age are denied without it. Good Luck, B.

How is life in Toronto?
How is the weather? How are the people? How is the job market? I am fluent in French and English? I have a masters degree and experience in retail, translation, teaching French,... Is it easy for an American to move to Toronto? How long can I stay in Canada without a visa? What about shopping? Museums? Art? Food? Any diversity...? Thanks a lot
A new family is seeking an elementary school in San Francisco that is focused heavily on performing arts/drama. Adda Clevenger is one. Are there any others?
Just and FYI based on you question. Applying to elementary schools in SF is like applying to college. You better have a few back up schools unless you are adding significantly to their endowment.
