Well my story is kinda the same as yours. I got my promise ring at 15 and we was only together for like 6mo. But my mom bought the ring for him to give me because he did not have a dad but i think that 15 is an ok age me and my husband have been together for like 9 YEARS and we have been married for 4 years now and we have 3 kids. I think that you should only take the ring if the boy friend is in it for the meaning of the ring it mean that you will get married and he will be true to you and only you, So if that is what he wants and what you want then take the ring and were it proud be cause it is a pee engagement ring and it;s your life..... I don't think the price of the ring sould have any thing to do with it!!!
