Which Rb Should I Play

I want to play running back?

Im 14 and on jv currently as a weakside linebacker but i would give anything to be a running back again like last year in middle school. My coach 4 some stupid reason wont start me as rb though even tho i am clearly the best back on jv and we hav plenty of great LBs so no conversion worries. Plus i run almost every play to perfection but he continues to start ppl that dnt hav a clue . What should i do to get my opportunity? How can i get a chance to show him? Also i am faster than the other backs and stronger. I jus need a chance but he wnt giv it to me

First know that the first job of a Right Back is to defend. Lots of fullbacks nowadays forgets their primary job is to stop the attacker and not be the attacker.Positioning: Very important, why? Because speed is almost untrainable, it's natural. If you're in the right place at the right time, there is no need to be Usain Bolt.Tactical:know the game, know what type of defender you are, zonal(space) or man marker.Communication: Always be in sync with your fellow defenders to avoid offside blunders, also with the attacking player in front of you. Know when to support him/her upfront and let them know when to support you defensively.Stamina: Fullbacks, Wingers, and CMs needs stamina, because these are positions that requires you to play at both end of the field.Crossing: If you can bend it like Beckham then you're an absolute beast. As a RB you get more space in the crossing zone than wingers. Take your time, get your head up, pick out a target and whip in a blinder.

Can a 5'11 14 year old play running back?

Yes, a 14-year-old who is 5'11" can play running back. Based on your height and weight, as well as your ability to stiffarm and run well, I believe that you will make a very good fit as a running back. In fact, your size gives you the potential to become a very elite high school running back.

What you need to do during this next week is eat healthy, and exercise by doing a lot of running every day. I highly recommend a calorie intake of 1800-2200, and at least one hour of running, per day. If you do these two things, you will get into better shape, which will greatly improve your speed, as well as your chances of being successful in football this season.

Should I play wide receiver or running back?

I'm heading into my sophomore year and am planning on playing football again. Last year as a freshman I was a backup tight end and starting strong safety. This year I'm looking to move from tight end to either running back or receiver. I am 6"0 and 150 pounds. My coaches said I have good hands and I'm good at breaking tackles. I would like to know which position would be a better fit for me. Thanks in advance. BTW, if it helps I can bench around 120-125 and squat about 200

How much should a freshman running back that plays JV weigh?

right now i am in the 8th grade and i am planning on playing JV football next year. at my future high school, the freshmen aren't allowed to play varsity football. i am 14, 5'8", and i weigh 136 lbs. am i good size for JV? should i gain weight? if so how much?

in your opinion, how much should a freshman running back on JV weigh? serious answers only please. thanks!

That answer depends totally on your physical attributes? How fast are you? How quick are you and how tall are? Also, what's your age? Each of those positions require a different skill set, even though some skills are crossover skills. If you tell me age, speed, height, weight, and any experience, I can provide you far better information & accurate answers.William ~

What position should i play Wide Receiver or Running Back?

my high school is a running team and i am a running back im 5,7 150 pounds and run a 4.54 so i suggest you be a running back its more fun you get the ball given to you and then you run like heck but if your team is a passing team then you probably would have any fun as a RB so try adn do some home work on your high school see what they like oh and definitely not FB because you because yuor a little light.
