Which Should I Get Industrial Helix Or Auricle

Should I get a helix or industrial piercing?

I would get an industrial. If you already have a helix why not try something new?

edit
Hahaha Leah R accidentally said "piercings you can get on your rear" instead of ear. I laughed.

I got an industrial piercing and now my neck is really sore/stiff, is this normal?

Probably your glands are just swollen. A lymph nodes.
Its not much to worry about, unless it gets really really bad. It can mean your piercing is infected. Though they swell up by themselves too, mine are particularly sensitive.

If you think your piercing is infected, never take the jewellery out, ignore the doctor if they tell you to. And go get some broad spectrum antibiotics from your doctor.
Though I very much doubt it is infected, especially this soon.

Take ibruprofen.

Do helix ear piercings hurt a lot more than regular earlobe piercings?

Look, hugely open ended question given the way ears are pierced and who's doing it.If an ear lobe is pierced with a (God forbid) piercing gun or apparatus then it is generally mild, seconds, thirds, fourths and fifths(if you have room) are in intensifying levels of pain using these devices, basically your seconds WILL hurt more than your first and thirds more so etc.Piercing an ear lobe with a needle(far cleaner and more stable) will hurt similarly in almost all the ear lobe even up to fifths. Most clients describe just a minor pinch and some relative heating of the site afterwards.(blood rushes in and makes the area warm)Now if a cartilage/helix/auricle is pierced with a gun it will be extremely painful and likely to shatter the soft tissue being pierced, it's also likely to pierce improperly and at a poor angle meaning more flesh may be pierced than required for a stable piercing. If it is done with a needle then expect a near painless experience almost less painful than any previous described methods(yes even ear lobes hurt more than cartilage)Of course make sure it is done with a needle at a proper piercing place, with a qualified and experienced piercer. Otherwise you may end up with a painful or otherwise unstable cartilage piercing. And of course as a disclaimer, pain is relative, everyone's different, that's why pain is difficult to measure. To you it may feel worse than another person, so again it is very difficult to answer your question except by asking you another- why not just try it and find out yourself?

On a scale of 1-10 how much does a cartilage piercing hurt?

For me, the pain was about a 4 out of ten. It does hurt more than a lobe piercing because cartilage is like thin bone (and it will take a lot longer to heal as well) but I would do it again in a heartbeat. I didn't even flinch or close my eyes. It's like a hard pinch. Before I had mine done (i have long nails, keep this in mind for a moment) I gave myself a hard pinch on the top of my ear to simulate how it would feel (don't do this RIGHT before lol.) and when I got it pierced, it felt very similar to that. You'll feel the needle going through your skin and then you'll peel it popping out the other said (apparently some people hear a crunch, although I never did but I felt it). I didn't really feel her put the jewelry in, so clearly that doesn't really hurt. It probably won't be sore for the first couple of days. Mine wasn't (but it felt warm) but it did get sore eventually, however that will go away. I've had mine pierced for 9 months and it's still a little sensitive, but I also just changed the jewelry for the first time. I can fold my ear down and it doesnt hurt, but I recall trying to do that did hurt the first few months. SO it will heal slowly but surely. Try not to change the jewelry for at least 6 months (as this is the minimum healing time) and not at all if it still hurts. Good luck, it's so worth it :)

The pain of conch, forward helix and nose piercings?

Conch was definitely my most painful piercing that i got done :|
but, not enough to put me of piercings :P
Nose was just sharp, made my eye water a little, more so when they put the jewelry in then when putting the needle through lol
I haven't got forward helix, I do however have industrial and getting the one that would be in the same place as forward helix for one part of it, wasn't bad at all(:

Over all, if your not scared of the pain, then your gonna be fine ;D everything it really quick
Expect sharp needles going through your ears and nose, lol :P

Forward helix or rook piercing pain?

I'm thinking about going and getting my forward helix pierced. I might get the triple one, but I want to try a single one before I jump to that. I also sort of thought about getting a rook.
I have my tragus done and I felt NO pain whatsoever during it, just a bit of pressure. I have my ears stretched a tiny bit, only to 12's, and those don't bother me at all.
I have a few others, my belly button, nose, spider bites, and a tattoo on my shoulder blade, but those are irrelevant to my ears. :p

I'm pretty sure I can handle it, but I was just wondering what other people thought about the pain or which one hurts the most so I can sort of get an idea of what I'll be getting myself into. :)

Clear liquid coming out of cartilage piercing?

I got my cartilage piercing 4 weeks ago this Thursday. My piercer told me in 4 weeks (6 at most) I could come back and have her change it. Saving a trip back into town I decided to do it myself a few days ago.. it was okay the first couple days and then today it has been hurting. I went to check it to make sure there was nothing wrong with it, but what I found made me nervous. I looked at the back of the new earring and saw a clearish liquid oozing out. I decided to take the earring out and see what it was. I wiped my ear on a tissue and saw it was just a clearish liquid with a pinkish tint to it. I washed it off like the piercer told me to do when I first got it done and it seemed fine and was no longer sore. Is this a sign that it's getting infected? If so, what should I do?

***Cartilage Piercing- Help With Sleeping!!! Please Help!***?

Okay so i Just got my cartilage pierced yesterday! The actual moment of them piercing it didn't hurt at all! But sleeping on it...well that's a different story!! I am waking up all through the night because it hurts so bad when i lay on it (my left ear)! And i know people say "Just don't sleep on it" but i end up turning over, and laying on my left side, at some point in the night. I can deal with the pain for a couple nights but i have been reading some stuff on the internet that it can still hurt after a year of having it! When i got it pierced they gave me the solution to put on it and it also numbs it a bit. I put it on right before i go to bed (and in the mornings) but it wears off during the night.. Is there Annnnyythinnng i can do to make it not hurt as much at night? Put a band-aid on it? Anything? Please Help!

Love,
Low Pain Tolerance;) <3
