Which Simpsons Voice Actors Have Won Oscars For Their Roles/performances On The Show

What bad actors and/or actresses have had great performances?

That is a bit of an oxymoron. I don't think you can he a bad actor and a good one at the same time, it just depends what roles you get. I think if you've had a great performance, by definition you are a good actor or actress. It all depends on which role is suited for you. Keanu Reeves was perfect in 'Speed', but in Bram Stoker's Dracula, he was a laughing stock. Jean Claude Van Damme was never any more than a guy who can do jump kicks, but proved himself a very capable dramatic performer in ‘JCVD’. His monologue is stunning. Roberto Benigni, whom I find to be possibly the most annoying actor to ever live, won an Oscar for his role in ‘Life Is Beautiful', beating Tom Hanks in 'Saving Private Ryan' and Edward Norton in 'American History X' , a preposterous victory. But all of these actors have the capability to do well if the role suits them. They might not all have D.D. Lewis - range, but they can excel at times.

If you were allowed to give an Oscar to one and only one actor in the history of film-making, who would that be?

To one of the most deserving actor who unluckily never won an Oscar even after being nominated thrice.Leonardo DiCaprioHe is the best actor of our generation. He has been nominated three times - Best Actor for The Aviator Best Actor for Blood Diamond, and Best Supporting Actor for What's Eating Gilbert Grape? But he never won one. He has even played different roles of the following genre:BASED ON A TRUE STORYJ. Edgar, The Aviator, Catch Me If You Can, Titanic (kind of)MENTAL ISSUESInception, Shutter Island, The Aviator, What's Eating Gilbert Grape? GAYJ.Edgar, The Basketball Diaries (kind of)TOPICALDjango Unchained, Body Of Lies, Blood DiamondFAMOUS ADAPTATIONSThe Great Gatsby, Revolutionary Road, Romeo & Juliet, Marvin's Room, This Boy's LifeWORLD WAR IIShutter IslandBut still he leaves home empty-handed after the Academy Awards ceremonies every year. Some of his fantastic nuanced performances aren't even nominated.Even after great performances and commendable acting, none of the below movies fetched him an Oscar. The Great Gatsby (2013)Django Unchained (2012)Inception (2010)Shutter Island (2010)Body of Lies (2008)Blood Diamond (2006)The Departed (2006)Catch Me If You Can (2002)Trust me, he is the most deserving actor and really deserves one.

How did Heath Ledger change his voice so much in The Dark Knight?

Well it probably was more uncomfortable but he had to focus his voice to a more "crazier" tone for the entire movie . Many actors do it to improve their character like Al Pacino in Scar Face , or Hue Laurie in House .

If you were going to produce the play hamlet which famous actors would u cast & why?

My choices for the most part are up and comers except for the obvious few. They are very good young actors that bear watching...

Hamlet- Cillian Murphy-he has a very earnest, honest face and he has a fragile, lost quality, all angst with the hollow cheekbones!

. King Claudius- Jeremy Irons- He is the quintessental villian. There is a sleek slyness about him that i love and his voice sets me aquiver.

Queen Gertrude- Helen Mirren...I just love her...she is amazing

Polonius -Hugh Laurie-He has so much depth and the intelligence in his face...plus he can do "wry" like no one else

Laertes-Jonathan Rhys Meyers-A very good actor has a shadowyness to him that is more mysterious to me than Cillian- who seems haunted.

Ophelia-Romola Garai-She is delicate and fragile and has a luminious quality to her.

Horatio-James McAvoy, clean cut sensible looking, has a range of depth, good character actor

For the ghost of Hamlets father-Pete Postalwait-great charactor actor
