What's the best smartphone to buy on Verizon as of May 2015?

There is no single answer to this. If there were, we would all own the same phones. The most popular phones are the IPhone and the Galaxy S series. The current IPhone, the IPhone 6, is a great phone. Samsung just released the Galaxy s6, that's a great phone too. The S6 seems to have some advantages as far as photography goes and also has a somewhat better screen. They are both so good that most people make their choices based on how much they like Apple vs how much they like Samsung (or Google which makes its Android operations system). Another really terrific phone is about to be released - the LG G4. It also has a great camera and an excellent screen and may (too early to be certain) have a really long battery life. Another answer here suggested the Droid Turbo. I have a friend with one who loves it. It isn't considered quite at the level of the three I just described but it certainly has its enthusiastic fans. It is cheaper too. Sorry to disappoint. I wish I could make things simpler.

Which is the best & worst time of the year to buy smartphones?

The best time to buy a smartphone - after the release of new version of it, so for ex: you would like to buy IPhone 7 - better wait for the release pf IPhone 8 or even X, so you will enjoy your new (old-version) phone for lower costs. The worst time to buy a smartphone - after a release. If you buy the new version of any smartphone which was just released - most probably it would be overrated a lot, very expensive, include a few bugs, and could explode unexpectedly..

What is the best metric while choosing a smartphone to buy?

1. A long-lasting battery2. Processing speedProcessorRAM3. Crystal-clear display4. A great camera5.Plenty of storage space6. Fingerprint sensor7. Fast Charging &or Wireless charging8. Infrared remote controlThank you!

When is the best and worst time to buy high-end smartphones?

It is all about being in the ‘right place at the right time’. You could walk into BestBuy and get 40% off at some points. The worst time to buy is usually before black Friday as I’ve noticed companies tend to put their prices up before the event, you may get some good deals actually during the Black Friday event. My advice to you would be to look around and do some comparisons, and don’t rush, wait for the right deal to pop up.Another important note would be to see how long it has been since the last release of a product and see if a new one is due-the ‘old’ phone will become much cheaper as the new one is released, even though they are most of the time very similar with just a couple features of difference.

Best camera phone (smartphone)?

I have a Samsung Galaxy s4, and while I do love my phone as it's my first ever smartphone (got it last year) it can't take a good picture in bad lighting. The pictures are *amazing* in good lighting, mostly the bright sun outside lighting, but in dim, or sucky lighting, the pictures are terrible. I'm looking for a change in pace as I'm switching carriers, but I don't know what phone to get. I was debating between iPhone 6 and Galaxy s5, but am open to other options. I don't want a windows phone (like Nokia) as I don't like the way they work, my friend has one and I hate it so that's out. But what other phone is easy to work, and takes good pictures? I don't use all the special features, my phone has the eye caption stuff and all that but I'm simple and I never, ever use any of that. I simply want an easy phone that I can take good pictures with as that's all I use it for other than playing games or texting.

Any suggestions? And what are your thoughts on iPhone 6 and Galaxy s5?
