Why are there so many single mothers lately?
Liz everything you wrote is so true. And you said it better than i could. Its getting out of control lately. The fact we got mothers teaching their daughter they don't need a man is the wrong advice. How about just grow up take responsibility for yourself and don't just trust everybody. If you find yourself in a terrible situation take some responsibility. My dad taught me that. I can't just blame the woman cause my life didnt work out the way i like it. Sad that more women don't take responsibility cause the mean as one use put it "will just be dead beat fathers" no matter what they do? I hear a lot about dead beat mothers but no finger pointing.
Are women getting too powerful in Western society?
Seems like an odd question. In what way does one define power?Women are equal before the law and have more choice than their grandmothers. They live longer, are getting more of the new jobs and female graduates tend to earn more than male graduates now. They have more healthcare reasearch money for diseases affecting their gender and seem to get away with more Women are also less likely to be arrested even when they are perpetrators, and usually get lighter prison terms for the same crimes.Many western countries have female leaders and heads of state (my own country comes to mind). Some of the most powerful people in the land are women. We've had female leaders of note since the Roman era though. It seems in history women's roles waxed and waned. In London in the 11th century ALL the brewing guilds were female owned and run. In the 15th century there was a law stating no trade can be off limits to women. Wife beaters were severely punished. Then in other eras we had no laws protecting women from rape inside marriage. It's been up and down for sure.I think if we really cared about equality we would stop caring about numbers of women vs men in senior roles and ask if women are actually choosing to do these things or not. Because in countries that are extremely egalitarian we still see fewer women in public positions of power. This simply reflects women's choice rather than a plot to keep them down. A woman should be respected if she chooses to be a homemaker and mother as much as if she chooses to enter business or academia or politics...and we should stop assuming equal opportunity means equal outcome. People are individuals and there are gender differences. We're going to choose different things...If there are instances where women are prevented from choice simply because they are women that is wrong though and should be addressed.

What are the behavioral patterns of a stalker?
Stalkers are lonely people who have no life of their own that they find interesting. So they take over another person's life and follow them around observing them and making sure they are spotted from time to time because they think the other person will be amazed at their detective work in knowing where to spy from. They really want to be walking next to the person they are stalking....they want to have a share in their life and a say in their life. When they don't seem to be making any influence on the other person's life, they take it up a notch and leave notes, objects, make phone calls to the victim and the victim's family and friends. Sometimes they try to make friends with the victim's family and friends and try to explain to them why they are trailing you...."I am worried about her, just keeping an eye on her, I'm really a nice guy." So when you mention it to your rellies and friends, they sometimes will try to convince you that your stalker only has misguided intentions and is just a lonely guy, and the police will be suckered in as well, saying to you HE SEEMS VERY KEEN ON YOU, WHY DON'T YOU GIVE HIM A CHANCE AND GO OUT WITH HIM, EVEN JUST ONCE? Then in a last act of desperation to see your life change because of him, he kidnaps your pet, disables your car, breaks into your house and attempts suicide. He says it will all come to a halt when you admit you two are destined to be together and you start checking out wedding dresses. Then at great expense to yourself, you move in the middle of the night during one of his four day stints in jail. Then he tracks you down at the next house, so you have to move overseas. My advice to females is to never go out with anyone (no matter how witty or handsome) lower than you on the social scale because if you break up with them, they are outraged that the lifestyle they had a peek at, is now out of their grasp. If you date someone on the same social scale and have to break off with them, it is only you they miss for a while, because they can still go on living the same lifestyle they knew before and during knowing you. They can meet another woman on the rebound and be comforted by that. Also, if their parents are respected and well known in the community, then the parents can have some influence over their wayward son. It is dicey to date someone whose parents live overseas and have no idea what their son is doing in his new country.
