Which Takes Precedence Dual Military Or Airborne

Military: can you guarantee duty station ?

My husband is joining the military (Army Reserve ) but would like to go active duty. We are small business owners (own rental properties). Is there a way to have a guarantee duty station ?

Does the military allow you to wear braces in active duty?

They do allow braces on active duty as well as invisalign. The problem is getting them in the first place. You have to be non-deployable for the duration of braces and that is very hard to do given the state of world affairs. If you really want them I advise trying to get assigned to a fairly large post overseas or virtually any stateside assignment if you can. It is easier to get braces if the base employs a full-time orthodontist as opposed to sending you off-post for the treatment especially if you are in the middle of nowhere Korea your chances are slim. Keep in mind that the children of servicemembers are first on the priority list compared with active duty members, but that still shouldn't keep you from them over the long term. One of the people I worked with in Germany managed to get them for free. Good Luck.

Army or Air force?

I am enlisting in the military, and my choices of branches came down to army or air force.
I got 85 on my ASVAB and on all my line scores I got between a 120-130. I took the test through the army scores.

My question us which branch? the army seems to apeal to me more because or sniper school and I could fly a chopper. I will have a "non combat job" you know what i mean less likely to fight. The sat coms job.

The airforce really didnt answer much for me they said they were full of people casue everyone wants to join them and stuff. And I didnt feel like they really needed me. But again I heard air force is the best.

I just need some good advice thank you in advance for your input.

Can a U.S. citizen be denied entry into the United States?

If a citizen arrives at a port of entry that is on USA soil, the citizen cannot be denied entry.Outside the USA, the government can and will deny USA citizens access to transportation to the USA.It can refuse to issue a passportIt can tell the airline or passengers shipping line to not board the citizenAt pre-clearance airports in Canada, Ireland and other countries it can refuse to clear the citizenThe USA doesn't routinely do this because if it did, more countries would require visas for USA citizens and insurance. Canada etc would close the pre-clearance facilities.Edit: examples for skeptics:http://www.law.cuny.edu/academic...In the above, USA citizens in Yemen are denied USA passports and so are stranded.https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/...In the above, at a preclearance airport in Canada, CBP was not going to let a USA citizen board his flying to the USA until be broke attorney / client privilege. He found a compromise that allowed him to keep his law license.

How often does the National Guard get deployed for active duty?

I just retired from the Texas Army National Guard last year with over 30 years of service. Contrary to what others have said on this post. If you want to “Go to the sandbox”, you only have to volunteer. I was mobilized and deployed for 4 “long” (12 month) deployments with two in Iraq. I also went to Iraq for a three month tour, a 6 week visit and a month in Kuwait. This does not count a lot of time mobilized to train up, support training and prepare other units and planning. When My Boys were 10 years old, I had spent half of their lives mobilized.Your Guard unit may only deploy every three to five years, but the Soldiers are often transferred to deploying units. During the height of the war Soldiers were often deployed every other year. If you want to go. Just volunteer to join a unit that is deploying. Your MOS can determine how badly they need you, but there are a lot of generic Soldiers needed by every unit. After you do your first deployment, there is a lot less pressure to go on more deployments, but it is offered as an option.Don’t misunderstand. If the unit needs you and your specialty, they will mobilize and deploy you. It is what you agreed to in your oath.
