Which United States City Would Fit Me

Should I move to Kansas City? How would I be treated?

I'm an Asian male (Filipino to be exact) and I'm considering a move to Kansas City because of a job opportunity there. However, I've heard that Kansas City is not like other major US cities.

I come from San Francisco, and it is a city that is very diverse with a large Asian population where I tend to fit in very well. The nightlife is great with lots of clubs, restaurants and things to do. However, I'm wondering about how life in Kansas City would be for someone like me coming from a place like SF. I've heard that there are not a lot of Asians there and I'm a little worried about racism.

What is life like in Kanas City and would I be able to fit in as an Asian? Plus are there a lot of things to do in the city and what is nightlife like?

Also, how is Kansas City's dating scene (especially for an Asian guy)?

What city in your country would do really well in a different state?

I live in NYC. And I adore California weather.Put NYC where Los Angeles or San Diego are located, and it would be a dream city.Considering that California is going through some hellacious problems with fresh water, take the water resources of NYC too, which means the Catskill Mountains and the mighty Hudson River. Which I guess negates the weather since that means lots of cloudy, rainy days to get the fresh water required to support NYC.Hmmmmm…this is more complicated than it looks since a city exists partly because of its weather. A huge metropolis like NYC (it has 6 million more people than the L.A. metro area) would not exist if not for its vast fresh water resources. I’ve lived here for a while and there has never been a call to lessen my water usage, which means we still have plenty of fresh water to spare in this part of the U.S.Los Angeles and other California cities are now under massive threat because the water required to keep them alive won’t be in that region for too long if the droughts get worse and worse. So the beautiful, clear, sunny weather that occurs in California and the Southwest for most of the year does come with a hefty price tag. So…get back to me on this!

Which city would be more suitable for my family? Atlanta GA. or Phoenix AZ.?

Phoenix area is in deperate needs for school bus drivers. With the alergies, it isn't to bad. Just when it gets really smoggy which it doesnt do alot. There are lakes around (some man made some natural) Most of the water in the desert lakes is green...so its kinda wierd but if you just want to like go boating or wakeboarding its fine. AZ has alot of things to do like water parks in the summer and skiing in the winter. As long as you are not an illigal alien from mexico...you will fit right in. Well not really because there are so many mexicans around but we always love it when people not illigal move here! The traffic during rush hour is bad at firsst but you get used to it. There are really nice nieghboor hoods and really good schools (mostly gilbert area and schools) Gilbert is a family type town. The schools are really good and there isnt A LOT of crime. If you stay out of the bad nieghboor hoods AZ would be a good place for you to live.

How many suitcases will fit in the trunk of a regular New York City cab?

It depends on how they are stacked inside the trunk and if the suitcase is soft (like nylon) or is a hard shell. The driver can take one up front with him/her or you can keep it on the back seat.

Some drivers have a car seat in the trunk so the suitcase may have to be stacked to make room. If anything will squish or break in your suitcase, let the driver know so it can be stacked on top.

Shuttles are great too and here is one loading and unloading luggage.

Since it is you and a friend, use the shuttle if landing at JFK or EWR.
If LGA, split the cab fare. LGA to Manhattan is the cheaper of the 3.

How do you plan to get back to the airport? Most shuttles offer a discount on round trips so if you will not be using the rails or cab back to the airport, use the round trip packages and save even more.

To shrink your 3 bags to 2 or make room for things you plan to buy in Manattan, you may want to get some SpaceBags.

As a Californian, which Canadian city would be the best one for me to move to?

No one can tell you what Canadian city you should move to absent any criteria from you.I’m going to confess to you that I’ve become a little fatigued with all the talk about moving to Canada because of Trump. On the one hand, it’s very flattering to know that we’re thought highly of by Americans. But it does get a little much when the talk is idle and uniformed by any notion of how immigration works. It does sometimes appear that Americans think they can wave their magic wands and presto, I’m a new legal entrant to Canada. Now don’t get me wrong. For those of you who legitimately find your situation intolerable, I am fully supportive of your legal immigration to Canada. There’s a very large part of me though that wishes you would hang on and fight for your country. I’m counting on most of you to do so.I have a suggestion for you. If your desire to immigrate is indeed sincere, I think it would make sense for you to seek out information about specific cities after doing a bit of research on your own because you haven’t really motivated me to write a novel about the pros and cons of all the Canadian cities you could possibly be interested in. Then come up with some criteria in terms of what you want in a living environment. Even better, narrow down your options to the top three cities that appeal to you and visit them. I’d be much more willing to provide information if you could demonstrate a bit more commitment to your own research in this regard.
