How to deal with a zit-induced fat lip?
I've had an "underground" zit just below my lip for almost a week now, and a few days ago it suddenly made part of my lower lip swell up like a balloon. This has happened to me once before and it lasted almost two weeks before it popped, which is not an option for me this time. I have already tried ice to reduce the swelling (worked a little), heat on the pimple to get it to come to a head (so far, nothing), clean and clear persagel (so far, nothing), toothpaste on it overnight (so far, nothing), popping the zit with a disinfected needle (a terrible risk, I know, but I'm desperate here...and it didn't work), and hydrogen peroxide to kill any infection on the surface. I'm really stumped here; I'm a high school teacher, and I'd like to avoid going to school looking like I took a shot to the face over the weekend. This zit is extraordinarily painful and I need it gone. Any at-home remedies or products y'all can recommend would be great! Thanks.

So i m 14 and I have this tiny little zit on the bottom of my lower lip. It s like not at all visible unless I look super intently. But problem is I have a trumpet playing test tomorrow and I can t blow into my trumpet like at allllll with it. It just hurts super bad, my tone quality sucks. It s just a problem I need it gone tomorrow.. at least mostly. I can t figure a way to pop it. It s like super small and in a weird place. Anyone got a remedy or something?

You do not want to squeeze the pustule as it could rupture under the skin and spread the infection. Take a clean pin or needle from the sewing kit,...soak a cotton swab in alcohol or hydrogen peroxide, and stick the tip of the pin [needle] into the saturated cotton swab. Let this sit for a few minutes while you soak in a hot bath to soften the skin. Have a clean pair of tweezers handy, also cleaned with peroxide. After the skin is soft (5-10 minutes) use the pin and prick the top of the pustule until fluid comes out. Gently squeeze until you have drained all the fluid. Look for a coiled up hair (in-grown hair) that is trapped inside the pustule, causing the infection. Use the tweezers to pull it out. Let this heal on its own, without a lot of ointments or sauves to get in the way of your body's natural ability to clear this up. Hope this helps. Mithras

Messed up and popped it. Got it from when I had to wear my glasses for three days and all the oil on my face got held there. I've got like four days before classes start and this is probably the biggest zit I've ever had in my life.

For some reason, I’ve broken out around my mouth. I think it may be because I changed my face care product recently. I have an event this weekend for Christmas and I don’t want to show up with this zit on my chin. How do I get rid of it before Saturday?
