Which Would Be Better Sports Fans

Why are sports fans so dumb?

I just read poll results on espn.com as to who would represent the NL in the world series. Now, I understand supporting your team, but why is it so difficult for people to be realistic? The poll results showed that the state of OH picked the Reds to represent the NL this year. Now come on people. I can easily name three teams that would beat them in the playoffs (Mets, Cardinals and Dodgers). I just do not understand the stupidty of todays sports fans.

Now, I also understand that Yankee and Red Sox fans hate the others team. However, you're only insulting yourself by saying the other team sucks. Personally, I think Yankee fans are the worst. They spent more than half the season in 2nd place and now that they are in first (by only 2 games), they say the Red Sox suck. Now, if one team was last in the division then I would understand it. But to say your rival sucks when you each have won 5 out of 10 games against each other this year and you're both battling for 1st place, is insane.

Which is better for watching sports on an HD TV, 720P or 1080P? Im a sports fan, should i get a 720 ro 1080?

1080p is the best, then 720p, 1080i. For watching sports you can save some money and buy a 720p set, the U.S. transmission standard (ATSC) does not support 1080p just 1080i and 720p, both HD cable and HD satellite as well as transmitted ATSC are all going to be either 1080i or 720p based on what the broadcaster decides to transmit. If you want to watch Blue-Ray or HD-DVD a 1080p HDTV is the way to get full 1080p (but you can watch these in 720p) or if you want to be ready for the (distant) future 1080p is the best.

A 720p set will display 720p, 1080i, 480p (DVD), 480i (SD-TV) all except 1080p. 1080i is 540 odd, then 540 even interlaced to fool the eye into seeing 1080 lines and your 720p HDTV set can and will scan the 540 line doubled with no problems, all the 720p (native resolution) are capable of doing 1080i, they are sold as 720p because that it the native resolution.

Why are so many sports fans so annoying?

I live and die with my sports teams, and I can tell you I scream and yell at the T.V. all the time, and I love it.

The only way I can describe the reasoning for people arguing intensely over something like sports is that we are defending our family. I am a New York sports fan, and if anyone from Philly tries to tell me that the Eagles are better then my G-men, I feel as if they are trying to tell me Philly is better then NY. People, including me, support and defend our teams to the end, no matter how many times they break out hearts. Yea I'll boo the crap out of them when they suck and I'll scream at them about how bad they are, but the great thing about sports is you never know what can happen, and since we can't be out there winning the super bowl or winning the stanley cup ourselves, we pick a group of guys who can play the sport at the highest level to represent our city in the sport to show who really is the best.

Nothing is more fun then taunting an opposing fan when your team is winning, and nothing is more frustrating then when an opposing fan is taunting you when his team is winning. Sports are more then just games for a lot of people including myself, and unless you are a die hard supporter of a team, it's tough to understand

SPORTS FANS I need your help!!!?

I would suggest doing simple things in order to gain more knowledge of sports. Go to sports websites such as ESPN.com, NFL.com, NHL.com, NBA.com, MLB.com and other places like that. They will all give you the stories that are the most current in sports. These stories are what the people in your office are most likely talking about. Another helpful thing would be to watch the sports section of the news or watch ESPN or ESPN News. You could also read your local sports section in the newspaper for some recaps of games. If you wanna know more about how an actual sport is played you can always check wikipedia too.

If people in your office are talking about sports around you just feel free to join in. Let them know you don't follow too much, but you are trying to watch more sports. I am sure if you do this they will help you out with any sports questions and things like that. I have had people ask me these types of questions and I have no problem helping people gain knowledge of a sport. Good luck.

Which sports fans are better, European football or American football?

There is not something like better, unless you have a definition of a good fan :)My impression of American fans is that they want to be entertained, and however there will be big fans, i think it isn’t as extreme as European football. For a lot of European fans, it is a lifestyle, that’s also the reason why some fans can’t behave on a normal way because they are to emotional. I watch quite some American sports, but i did not see too much fans misbehaving, i think the worst incident was that AF game with the snowballs. Well i don’t have to tell about the behavior of the soccer fans ;(

Who can't stand Massachusetts sports fan?

I think fans from Boston, New York and Los Angeles are the most arrogant fans in all of sports.

Does being a sports fan as a teen make you more popular?

Thank you for asking me to answer this question.I am not a sports fan, and I wasn’t a sports fan when I was in school. While I understand the benefits of sports as a physical and social activity, it just wasn’t for me.Most of the “popular” kids in school were into sports of some kind. In my school we had a lot of baseball fans and also baseball players on the junior leagues. There were football fans, too. But the football players tended to be a totally different group from the rest of the “popular” kids. So, based on my observation, I suppose being a sports fan would help one to fit in better with the crowd, if that’s what you’re wanting to do.But here’s some better advice: don’t do something that doesn’t feel comfortable to get a better reputation for yourself. Maybe you don’t actually like sports? Or maybe getting into sports would be a great thing and you’ll end up playing something cool and unique like LaCrosse? At the end of the day, you want to be the best you that you can be. Genuine, not fake.In a few years when you’re onto bigger and better things, it might not have mattered anyway whether or not you said you liked sports to try to fit in. Things change, people change. Everything in school socially is all about the “here and now”. Tomorrow is never considered because everyone is so caught up on keeping up with that cool pack of kids over at the lunch table. Food for thought. In the end, it’ll all work out.
