Anyone had a car repossed by navy federal credit union?
i have not paid my car payment since oct 2009( on purpose) it is broke down and the costs to fix it will be more than what the car is worth. anyways, i notified navy fed of the situation, and they pretty much told me to try to sell it-so i did, but the offer i got for the car was not good enough for navy federal and they told me that the total balance has to be paid off before they can release the title (which is over 10 grand) noone is gonna pay 10 grand for that car! i was fortunue enough to get another car through a family member, however, navy fed told me that they WOULD not pick up the car because it is inoperate (when i tried to voluntarily release the vehicle back to them in november 09), i am trying to go into a debt management program, but i can not include this car loan as long as the title is on it. anyways, i WANT them to get the car so i can get this loan unsecured so i can begin to take care of my debts BUT they still have not come and got the car. they called last month and said that their 'agent' will be contacting me for the repossession of my car. noone ever called. the other day, got the same phone call again, so i called them back and ASKED for the agent's number so i could contact him and let him know where the car is. of course this was a message i left and no one has called me back. i dont know whats going on.,the car is parked behind an old pizza joint that is abandoned. it does not have tags or plates on it. they keys are in the car. i had given them the address of the location of the car previously, and they keep making threats that they are gonna come get the car, but its still there!! has anyone had a car repossessed by navy fed?? how long did it take? does anyone know why they keep making threats to take my car and still havent done it?

Pregnant, separated from husband, no job & no money ?
First of all, I dont need anyone on here bashing me or making me feel any worse about this situation than i already do..so if you are that person dont bother posting ! thanks my husband & i have been married for 3 great years & tried to get pregnant..finally we get pregnant in june & everything is falling apart. we both lost our jobs, had to move in with my mom. im still un-employed because nobody will hire me being pregnant, hubby just found a job a few weeks ago. we have been having so many problems these last few months & have decided to separate for now. he is staying with his family, we only have one car & he has to have it for work. he pays all of our bills with his paycheck & then we are left broke again. i have no car, no $ & a baby due in 3 months. i am feeling so overwhelmed right now. this is a very difficult time & i just dont know what to do. i am on medicaid & wic, trying for food stamps. but i need a job very badly, with no car its very hard though because its winter...so i cant really walk safely being 7 months pregnant. if i could just get someone to hire me, i could probably borrow a car for the time being. i feel like this is the first step towards helping out this situation..getting a job for some extra income for me & husband & baby..this would relieve some of the financial strain & plus would get me out of the house during this to get my mind off things..! anyone know of any places that may not be opposed to hiring pregnant women or maybe anything online just until baby gets here ? i just need some pep talk i guess...have no-one to talk to that understands ! thanks so much..god bless !
How does a voluntary repossession work with a vehicle with navy federal?
So I m an idiot and bought a bmw that was in terrible condition. It was towed and won t start. So I can t afford to pay it anymore. I m consodering voluntary repossession. I know it ll screw my credit for up to a decade. It worries me reading about all of these lawsuits and just wanted some details as well as a little bit of admonoshment haha. Thank you!
I owe more than my car is worth, do i let it get repoed and buy a new one first or keep throwing money away?
I currently have a 2011 Nissan sentra that I owe 20K and my interest rate is 18%. I will end up paying 40K for this if i pay it off. My question is should I buy a new car with lower payments and lower interest rate to save money and let my current car be repoed? Or continue to pay on this current car for another 4 years? My thought is I can have a repo on my credit for several years or keep thowing money I dont have into this car.

It depends on what arrangements you make. Let a friend or family member keep it for you. If the incarceration will be lengthy, I would not let the car sit idle. Long periods of non use will slowly eat away at the car’s fluids, make belts dry and brittle. Tires wont hold the air and the rubber could start to dry out. You could give the car away. You could sell the car and hold the money to the side for another vehicle when you are released. If you are making payments, then if payments aren't met your car will likely be repossessed. Weigh your options based on how long the sentence will be, the age of car, the cost in keeping it vs selling it.
