Mix 1 tablespoon of baking soda with 1/2 a tablespoon of hydrogen peroxide and 1/2 a tablespoon of water until it becomes a paste. Remove the shoe laces. Dip a toothbrush or cloth in the paste and scrub the shoes until the stain is no longer visible. Allow to dry in sunlight for 3-4 hours. Clap the shoes together to remove excess baking soda and scrub them with water. Relace and enjoy your clean shoes!

Sneakers: Can I put Converse shoes in the washing machine?

This is something I have always done, with Converse and other trainers.30°C or 40°C your usual washing powder and a towel or two to keep the noise down. Remove the laces. I usually tie the lace loosely to one eyelet and wash them together with the shoes. You could put the laces in one of those little net bags that people use for delicate/small items. Don't put the laces loose in the machine as they may get lost or tied up in the workings. When you take them out of the washing machine, stuff them with (clean) socks or newspaper to help them maintain their shape.Spend a couple of seconds to flatten out the laces before laying them out to dry.The shoes might be a little stiff the first time you wear them but this doesn't last.
