White lump on lip piercing?
It might be an infection. Are you cleaning it at least 2-3 times a day? This will help if not. Also make sure you are using the right amount of sea salt: mix 1/4teaspoon with 1 cup water. This is important! I mixed too much sea salt into the water when I was cleaning my piercing and it didn't work. Whatever you do, do NOT remove the jewelry. If it is infected, removing the jewelry will only trap the infection in your lip.
Lip piercing, oozing white?
normal. your piercing will secrete lymph and dead cells as it heals. signs of infection: green, brown, red, or some other unusual color of secretion (clear, white and slightly yellowed are normal with healing) hot feeling to the touch typically accompanied by streaked redness foul odor (and with oral piercings, foul taste in mouth)
DO YOU HAVE A LIP RING?.. White bump under new lip piercing?
I got my lip pierced about 2-3weeks ago maybe .. . I now have a white bump not on but right under the piercing in the inside of my mouth it's sorta hard when pressed against my gum but when I touch it with my tongue it's kinda soft so idk..sore from time to time . .does anyone what this is I've heard people say it does it and its just scar tissue or something of that sort .. ANY answers are accepted nd great full ... Thanks :)
Lip Piercing help, white stuff?
I just got my lip pierced about two weeks ago and i noticed a white substance coming out the back of the piercing in my mouth, one of my friends said it was puss, but i don't know because its like part of my lip, another friend said that its dead skin and i have to use tweezers to get it off. I don't think its infected because it doesn't hurt at all. But i don't know, i might be wrong. Can anyone help me please?
What is the aftercare for lip piercing?
Having snake bites myself for four years now, I can give you some advice.If they are freshly done, don't irritate them in any way. Don't chew on the bars or play with it with your tongue. Gently touching them with it is okey.Very important: you shouldn't touch them with with your fingers unless you wash them first. You're fingers carry lots of bacteria!Something you're gonna notice is that during the healing process some white stuff will come out of the wound. This is completely normal, and you shouldn't panic. Only if it gets yellow, green or brown you should see you're piercer for advice.I cleaned mine with cotton swabs and saline solution. Normally you can get it at your piercing shop or your local pharmacy.Once they're healed and there's no swelling anymore, you should swap the longer piercing bar with a shorter one, so it won't get caught on your teeth or clothing anymore.I want to warn you for something. My piercing on the right healed in two weeks, but my left piercing is still not completely healed (hurts when changing the bar) although I cleaned and treated it the same. Normally it should be completely healed in about two months. If anything unusual happens, you're piercer will be glad to help you out!Good luck!
Is it normal to have white stuff around a lip piercing?
Completely normal, and it may have white puss around it for a while even after it heals, aslong as it aint green/yellow then its fine! the white stuff should disappear after 2-6 weeks. keep it clean with warm salt water (boil water to boiling point in a kettle and add salt into a cup with the water, wait till it cools down and apply to piercing with cotten wool) do this morning and night and dont keep touching it with your hands! hands are the most bacterial things on the body! so make sure you wash your hands before you clean it to! Dont take it out till its fully healed either. hope this helps

Why is my lip piercing swollen?
That would depend on when you got your lip pierced. If you had it done recently, this is normal. To reduce the swelling, use ice. Try to avoid smoking, and talking excessively. Also don’t touch the piercing with dirty hands/play with it.Touch it only if you are cleaning it, and with clean hands, always!Avoid oral sex and kissing until it’s completely healed.
Why is skin growing over the back of my lip piercing? on the inside of my lip? is this normal? !?
This is normal, but should not be happening. Is the skin solid? You may have to irritatw ir or tear it away carefully. If you let this happen the skin will grow on thicker and you will have to get surgery to have your peicings removed, or will have to have someone tear them out which will be painful. The best advice I can give you is to go to the place you got it peiced, or just go to your local peicing salon as soon as possible and tell them about it. They would of seen this problem before probably and can help remove the skin in the easiest way and hopefully still keep your peicing. If you go to a doctors they will resolve the issue but will probably take out your stud in the process.
