How much does it cost to own a maltese?

I have owned my maltese, Corki, for almost 2 years now. Here is what I spend on her:

Dog Food: I buy Iams Naturals, 15.5 lb bag (lasts about 1 to 1 1/2 months) $20

Heartgard: 6 month supply $27

Frontline Flea Protection: 3 month supply $45

Groomer: I keep Corki's hair cut short to avoid mats. I get her cut every couple of months. $30 each trip

Treats: I buy Ol' Roy soft beef sticks (which she loves!) and a container usually last about 2 months, depending on how often she gets rewarded. $7

Bones: I buy bone chips every now and then for her. A large bag will last for quite a long time. $9

Toys: I will buy stuffed toys (her favorite!) every now and then, maybe once or twice a month on average. These can run $1-12 depending on the type of toy.

Vaccinations: These run $10-$30 each time, depending on what medication it is.

Vet trips: $20 for a visit, plus any medication. I have to get Corki a Cortisone shot every couple months ($20/shot), due to her flea allergy. This is not as common now that we use the Frontline religiously.

Then, if you ever leave town, you'll have to figure in boarding costs. It is $9/night at my vet, which is where we board Corki.

Don't forget to spay or neuter your pup! Typically, it is more expensive to spay (female) than to neuter (male). It cost $90 for Corki to be spayed. You will want to do this while your pup is still young, as it is easier for them to bounce back after surgery.

Overall, your new pup won't be cheap, but if you give your maltese love and care, it will return your love ten times over, which makes for a very rewarding relationship. And if yours is anything like mine, watch out for the constantly licking tongue!

Enjoy your new pet!

Tractor supply parvo vaccines?

i live in the middle of hillbilly-town kentucky, every thing is a kill shelter, no aspca, no cheap clinics, everybody wants at least 150 dollars just to see your dog and then pay for whatever else they do, like vaccines, rabies, whatever.

i can afford the tsc or southern states shots. not much else. =/

How were early store less convenient for shoppers than those of today?

How early do you want to go? Early stores had limited selections and limited quantities. You could not just wander into a store and pick up what you wanted; things were often behind a counter and a salesperson had to pick and choose your items for you. While this personal service was nice, it was not convenient. Stores also had limited locations and hours, so there was no popping down the street at 1:00 in the morning for bottle of milk. You went to 'town' once a week or month and bought enough supplies to last you. And for really unusual purchases, you had to travel to the 'big city' or order something through a catalog - and wait months for it to arrive.

Why was thier just a police helicopter ??????????/?

It's hard to tell.

Usually, it's a missing person or someone running/escaping from the police. A searchlight is a dead give-away on this. However, they may use Night Vision (if they can get it from the government) and do this without being seen.

However, they could be watching someone undress (filmed in Blue Thunder, by the way) or just wasting money (yours).

I have seen helicopters used to transport drugs, drop supplies, carry officers, take big wigs to dates and meetings, search for missing/runners, and just fly around to get hours for their logs. Hey, you must justify that expense, you know.

What is your review of Amanora Park Town?

I have already invested in one of the upcoming buildings in Amanora Park Town. Possession of my unit is still awaited and until last news from Amanora team the possession will be given sometime in the last quarter of 2018.Following are the Pros and cons of Amanora Park town:PROS:Expected to be a well maintained township with good infrastructure and maintained landscaped areas. The project is still in progress and many buildings aer yet to come up; having said that the current level of infrastructure seems very impressive.Has all the basic necessities of any city built-in (self sufficient i mean) including Fire station, shopping mall, offices, Waste management, electricity back-up arrangements for the entire township, reliable water supply arrangements (though it is not yet put to test as the occupancy is very less with respect to the township once it is entirely built and occupied)Smart technology used optimally such as prepaid Electricity , prepaid Gas supply, smart locks, etc.Pune Municipal corporation’s property tax waived off.Iconic towers (Getway / future towers) provides an excellent skyline adding to the metropolitan charm to the township.Less travelling distances to work (provided you work in/ around Magarpatta)Quality schools with good extra curricular facilities inside the township.Choice of 2 malls (Amanora as well Magarpatta seasons mall) covering most of the brands.CONS:Access: this needs a serious thought as entering the township at weekends is a nightmare. Magarpatta city and Amanora township both open p on a tiny road and both malls are located just opposite each other…causing huge traffic and congestion.Accessibilty to towers deep inside the township: Uber/ Ola has solved most of these issues , however try ‘convincing’ a Auto wala to take you to Aspire tower , for example. Some of the towers are really deep into the township and walking to these buildings is not an option. You will end up walking 3–4 KMs just to reach your building.Infrastructure charges (yearly)/ Cluster Fund (one time): Whatever that means… :( Though Property tax is waived off… you are still charged for yearly infrastructure charges. Also with Amanora single-handedly managing the funds, you never know how much it will be increased each year. These issues are the ones i could think of quickly. Will add more in the coming days.Hope Quorans find this reply useful while deciding upon investing/ staying here.
