Who Are The People Who Are Rumored To Become The Twelfth Doctor In Doctor Who

What do people think of the 12th Doctor?

It took me a while too get used to Capaldi, it is quit a change from Matt Smith and David Tennant. I started watching from the 2005 series reboot, guess you could call me one of the younger viewers, but in season 9 i thought Capaldi was brilliant. It started great with the daleks, and under the lake was really good. The 9th season was darker, which i think was a good thing, it suited capaldi really well. And he grew into it. The zygon inversion, Capaldi and Jenna both did absolutely brilliant. In heaven sent, Capaldi's brilliant acting took the episode to a whole different level. It was so good, of course there is credit for the story, but capaldi rocked it.The guitar and the speech of capaldi at the end of the zygon inversion where absolutely brilliant. Capaldi did brilliant. I can't wait for another season with Capaldi, bring it on. I am very curious who the new company is going to be, and the relationship between Capaldi and the new companion.

Will the female Doctor have male companions since the male doctors have had mostly female companions?

BBC has already released the first 3 companions the new female Doctor will have, which includes male companions.I really, truly hope that the BBC stops with the romantic companion crap. The crushes, the sexual tension, etc. that they have used in the recent past with the Doctor. I really miss them displaying what a platonic friendship can be between two people of opposite genders, not to mention they need to include non-binary gendered characters.Yeah, classic who had a lot of platonic companion relationships. The only real one in new who between the Doctor and a companion of the opposite gender was Donna Noble. We need more of that.I fear that the BBC/Doctor Who will damage any advances they have made by casting a female Doctor by having it constantly be her having male companions that are potential romantic partners, that she will be seen “friend-zoning” or submitting to her male companions instead of being the Doctor - independent and head-strong and decisive(which are not gender specific traits). The costume they chose for the new doctor so far just bolsters my fears they will do this. That they will now write a female Doctor as a socially awkward tomboy seeking male approval and dismissing the fact she is a woman.

What do Whovians think of Doctor Who (2005) Season 8, as a whole?

It's funny. I like Peter Capaldi a lot, and Clara had moments where she was great (particularly the times where she stopped taking the Doctor's shit and stood up to him); on the other hand, the overall chemistry was more bad than good (too many "clueless Doctor making fun of Clara" moments), I didn't particularly care about the Danny Pink romance all that much, and I thought bringing back the Master (Mistress) as the Big Bad was a little bit of a copout. In general, think they're caught up in the 50th anniversary fan-service loop a little too much and need to mix some more new stuff in and a little less recycling the Greatest Hits (Daleks, and Cybermen, and the Master... OH MY!). (The one exception would be to check in on River Song because it might be interesting to see how she interacts with this new iteration of the Doctor.)Overall a mixed bag, but Capaldi's take on the character is enough to keep me watching and see how (assuming the rumors of JLC leaving are true) things will go with a new Companion. Or even if the rumors are false and JLC stays, maybe the next season can be a bit more of a clean slate now that they've dispensed with the "OMG, he's totally different!" storyline.

Doctor Who (TV series): What do you think of Danny Pink?

I enjoyed specific Danny Pink moments. The two that jump to mind are:When he argued with the Doctor, calling him an officer. When he was dead, and Clara was trying to get to him. He tried to convince her he was a fake so she wouldn't risk herself.I quote enjoyed the Doctor refusing to accept a soldier could teach Maths and instead called him PE.On the whole though, he was hard to relate to. He seemed forced upon the plot. He and Clara seemed to get together because, well, that's what the script said they should do.I liked Danny's story arc more than I liked the character.Yeah. On the whole, I didn't like him all that much.
