Who are your favorite directors?
Who are a few of your favorite film-makers and what's your favorite of their movies? I actually left some really good directors off of mine, a top 20 may seem like a lot but it really is not. I had to leave people like Steven Soderbergh, Clint Eastwood, Jason Reitman and Tim Burton off even though I really did not want to. Here is my list: 1. Stanley Kubrick- 2001: A Space Odyssey 2. Martin Scorsese- Raging Bull 3. Alfred Hitchcock- Psycho 4.. Quentin Tarantino- Pulp Fiction 5. Steven Spielberg- Jaws (this was a very tough choice though) 6. Christopher Nolan- The Dark Knight 7. David Fincher- Fight Club 8. Paul Thomas Anderson- There Will Be Blood 9. Spike Lee- Do the Right Thing 10. Woody Allen- Manhattan 11. Wes Anderson- Rushmore 12. The Coen Brothers- Fargo 13. David Cronenberg- Eastern Promises 14. Ridley Scott- Alien 15. James L. Brooks- Terms of Endearment 16. Akira Kurosawa- Rashomon 17. Kevin Smith- Chasing Amy 18. Rob Reiner- This is Spinal Tap 19. Sidney Lumet- 12 Angry Men 20. Michael Mann- Heat

Who is your favorite director?
Tarantino BQ: nobody is even a light year close to him, in fact he's in another dimension, it's not a matter of skills and experience or amount of works, this is a gift, just a true genius beyond and above everyone else BQ2: Reservoir Dogs Pulp Fiction Kill Bill Death Proof Inglorious Basterds BQ3: Kill Bill opened my eyes, my fav genre is action, he couldn't get to me through any other genre. I remember first seeing Pulp Fiction on TV (I was 11 or 12), didn't like it at all - just talking no real action. Next day in school everybody was talking about it. And I hear them say "tarantino, pulp fiction tarantino pulp fiction". ME: Oh, I've seen it too. real boring. They looked at me as if I was crazy. One girl: It's TARANTINO!!!! ME: ok, so, who's that? She: SO!??!?! Who's THAT?!?!!? He's the director and he acted in the movie also. ME: Really, which of them was tarantino? she told me. ME: That imbecile in the robe was the director?! It took me a while to really see him. Watching Kill Bill "the 4th Film by Quentin Tarantino" I thought that was a familiar name, but couldn't remember where I heard it before. lol
