Who Can Make A Copy Of A Fragrance I Have

Does anybody know where I could get a copy of the poem "Fragrance of Summertime" by Oscar de Zuniga?

You might could look it up in poetry books or google it

Can perfumes get copyrighted?

It’s not a stupid question at all! A fragrance creation is considered a work of an artist but cannot be patented. This issue has been going on for long in international courts, but as of now, a fragrance itself cannot be copyrighted. In the formulation of a fragrance, there are several ingredients which can smell alike and even if 1 of them is changed in the formula, or it’s proportion changed, the fragrance will still smell the same, but it will be considered as a new ‘formula’ thus a new creation. Hence in theory, one can have multiple formulas which will smell alike. Hence cannot be patented.

Can a fragrance be patented and in which country?

Fragrance is not patentable because they are not a "new and useful process, machine, manufacture, or composition of matter". However, the composition of the fragrance (that is, the list of ingredients used to make a particular fragrance) is patentable. So, you cannot get patent on fragrance in any country. However, you can get patent on the ingredients and composition.Suggestions:Getting a patent for fragrance requires disclosing everything about the invention. Hence it's not the best approach to get patent. Instead, you can go for trademark on the fragrance. Also the duration of patent is only 20 years. But trademark gives longer protection. All the best!

Why do my friend never compliment me but compliments everyone else?

Deep inside I think she doesn't really like me. Here's some of the things she do. We were out and a guy came up and gave me his number she then stated oh why did he give his number to you?
Then i8can have on perfume be around her the whole day she won't say a thing but everyone else will. I can have on an outfit she won't compliment but everyone else will. She'll call every call pretty but never me. And to top it off everything I do she copies. It's like she keeps me close to copy me. I don't need her approval but it just doesn't seem right. Because I'm always cheering her on.

How are the scents of famous perfumes and colognes reverse engineered and copied by the companies who make cheaper knock-offs?

The usual process involves a chemical analysis called Gas chromatography–mass spectrometry. It offers an approximation to the actual formula of the target perfume, although it is not 100% precise. Then an experienced perfumist tweaks the formula to get closer to the desired result. As a curiosity, perfume formulas are not subject to patents or copyrights, much the same as food recipes. Unless you also copy the trademarks or the packaging of a brand perfume, copying the formula itself is perfectly legal in every country.

What is the performance difference between original and fake bottle fragrance?

It depends on how close to the original the knockoff is.Now that there are mass spectrometers, no perfume’s formula is truly secret. With the genuine formula in hand, producers of knockoff fragrances have the option of using precisely the same ingredients as the original or of cutting corners a bit. Those choices will have an impact on the perfection of the copy, its longevity, its depth, and the sillage. It has been my experience that the uglier a scent the more durable it is. Many knockoffs seem to be almost indestructible. Copies of the pink, sugary fragrances which have been popular over the last decade are prime offenders in this category.Similarly, knockoffs seem to have greater sillage to the point that a three-pack-a-day smoker with a bad head cold could easily give the wearer a five hour head start and still be able to track her down through a municipal dump, a Wal-Mart, a Krystal franchise, a high-school boys’ athletic shower room, and a garlic processing plant to her hiding place in a paper mill.Last of all, knockoffs seem to lack depth. A good perfume changes subtly over time. It opens brightly with the top notes, then those top notes are replaced by the mellower middle and the lingering bottom. Good fragrances are complex and meant to be savored in all their phases. Knockoffs tend to feature the opening scents. When those fade, there remains only the bitterness of the cheap alcohol carrier. In my opinion, this is not true of all knockoffs. And not everyone’s nose or body chemistry reacts in quite the same way. So when it comes to making a purchase, I say try before you buy. If you are satisfied that you enjoy the fragrance more than the money, buy it. The scent’s authenticity is absolutely irrelevant.A special note to present-givers: always give the real thing as a gift unless you have been specifically told otherwise by the intended recipient.

Has Anybody Smelled the Holy Spirit?

I have never experienced such myself. In fact, apart from one ambiguous situation years ago, I have never experienced anything "miraculous" or "divine".

That said, your experience of "smelling the Spirit" has been documented (Other people's experiences: http://forums.catholic.com/showthread.php?t=22577 ). It's referred to as the "odour of sanctity", although it usually refers to smelling a saint/the Blessed Virgin Mary, rather than the Holy Spirit itself: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Odour_of_sanctity

It's nice to know that you are one of these "down to Earth" Christians. The word "miracle" is abused and overused on a daily basis - unfortunately by Christians - that it has stripped meaning from the word.

What is your opinion about Armaf perfumes and their clones?

Armaf has a small but slowly expanding following across the globe. Its surprising that a brand with little or no advertising can have a select and dedicated set of fans who are just dying to find out more about the elusive company.Obviously Club de Nuit Intense Men would be their claim to fame globally. Cloning a perfume that’s on so many best perfume lists (Creed Aventus) is no mean feat. While Aventus retails for anywhere from INR 20000–25000, CDNIM costs just a fraction of that - INR 1200 and upwards.Tres Nuit is another smash hit, yet another clone of the Creed stable of perfumes - Green Irish Tweed (The olfactory ancestor to Davidoff Cool Water).I think the great thing about Armaf is that they have managed to clone a wide range of hit perfumes that cover all the different types of fragrance. So while there’s a chance that you might love say their Derby Club House Blanche (clone of Creed Silver Mountain Water) you may not be able to handle a Shades Wood even though the fragrance may be high quality juice (Creed Santal).Ultimately, the fact remains that you are getting to try some amazing fragrances at a fraction of their retail prices. In lot of the cases the Armaf clones are even stronger - also one of the reasons the synthetic notes are all too clear. Compared to any other alternatives at the same price range they are miles ahead on all parameters - be it Fragrance composition, alcohol content, longevity or silage. But I have yet to be convinced that their fragrance has that well rounded feeling of luxury that a few scents have - like a Versace Eros or a Bvlgari Aqua (- or whatever your favorite brand might be).I myself have close to 10 Armaf bottles now (so obviously I’m a fan of theirs), and would love to purchase a few more.Cheers! The tough part is that unlike other well distributed brands, Armaf is not so easy to find and more importantly next to impossible to test the freagrance and then make an informed purchase. However with the large number of reviewers for the brand as well as the reviews on fragratica it won’t be a complete blind buy.
