Below I narrate my favorite advertising campaign in the recent times from the digital medium:The leading fragrance company, JASS perfume spray, has selected a unique and innovative idea for marketing there products in India.YouTube artists Gopi and Sudhakar from Tamil Nadu have been hired for an advertising campaign.As a part of the campaign an ad film-making contest has been announced. No big restrictions have been forced on the contestants who take part in the competition. The entrants are asked to submit a one-minute ad film.The competition has a particular theme for the ad film that the teams should follow. Apart from which every other rule is liberal.The contest has no entry fee to be paid by the teams. The organizers of the competition have also asked the participants use one of their company fragrances in the video.The campaign got tremendous response and several 100 videos have been uploaded within a month to YouTube.This way the company has attained free endorsement of their product and has created product awareness too.The company has been successful in attracting customers and making them try and buy the product.In today’s market scenario, products are developed based on customer demand.This interactive advertisement would help not only in achieving broader reach for the product but also in receiving appropriate product feedback from the customer.
What are the differences between alternative rock and indie rock music?
I’m not going to go into the origins of these terms because that has already been well covered here. What I can talk about it the differences in how these two genres of music sound today. For reference, I listen to SiriusXM stations SiriusXMU (for indie) and AltNation (for alternative). Both of these stations play current music.Alternative, according to AltNation, is a sound that has changed from the roots of alternative music (College Rock, grunge, etc.). It has moved away from heavier rock n roll like we heard so much of in the 90s and early 2000s. Today, alternative is more “alt pop” in sound. It is still predominantly guitar based but there is more of a pop, and sometimes electronic element to it. For example, some of the most popular bands are The Killers, Grouplove, Cage the Elephant, Bastille, Miike Snow….to a lesser extent, there is still alt rock like enormously popular bands The Foo Fighters and Mumford & Sons, there is just not as much of it. AltNation is constantly criticized for playing more pop and less rock. But the format of the radio station is based on listener feedback. They play what people are requesting. And people want more alt pop.Indie, according to SiriusXMU, does not really have a cohesive sound. The only word I would use across the board, is that it sounds like it is more experimental. Anything goes, from electronic to pop to folk to rock and even hip hop, etc. Interestingly, a band that is usually identified as alternative, Radiohead, is played exclusively on the indie station. Also, there are some bands that cross over and are played on both stations. The Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Beck, and Tame Impala, for example. The program directors choose which songs from these cross over artists to play on which station. Usually, the “weirder” ones are played on the indie station and the more “mainstream” ones are played on the alternative station. There is less repetition and more variety on the indie station. And less of an emphasis on listener feedback. The only other thing I would add is that indie sounds less slick, less “produced”. It is more rough around the edges.I hope that helps!

A Rectangle!!Well let me put this in a way which all of you can relate to. This is 2016 and me being in my early 20s. This is how a young working professional's day goes by.Gets up in the morning and wishes mom dad good morning!!…Browses on his “Rectangular” Smartphone. Wishes the whole world good morning via whatsapp, facebook blah blah. Browses some motivational quotes on the internet and maybe check his feed on quora.Later Reads his newspaper which is coincidentally “Rectangular” and gets ready for work. In his work stares into his “Rectangular” screen typing away on his Rectangular keyboard for the next 10 hours.Later returns home in the night to freshen up and sit in front of his Rectangular Flat screen LED TV to catch up on the news or some sports or even a good movie.Finally it all ends when he his lying on his Rectangular bed reviewing his day and planning for tomorrow.Just a small mention about the numerous Rectangular doors he opens and closes during the day.So yeah Cheers to the Rectangle!!!
