Who Do Young Emirati Girls Dream To Be When They Grow Up

Who do young Emirati girls dream to be when they grow up?

My friend is writing a book about Emirati girls from age 7 to 13 and he says that these girls dream to be like models and they want to be seen as pretty when they grow up.

I told my friend that I am sure that young Emirati girls who are 12 or 13 years old look in magazines and see pretty models wearing pretty abayas and nice fashion clothes, but I said that I do not think in Emirati culture that the girls dream of growing up to be like pretty models.

I said to my friend, in Arab culture, I think maybe they will dream to be like the pretty female singers. Singers and music is very very popular in Arab culture, but I do not think Emirati girls dream to be models.

So please tell me, in Emirati culture, do the girls dream to be models? Who do the girls dream to be like? Is it actors, models, singers, poets, writers or doctors and how much does being beautiful mean to them at this young age from 7 to 13 years old?

I want to help my friend give a very true and accurate picture of Emirati girls who are 7 to 13 years old. Thank you all for your help. I come here for answers because I am sure I will get great answers. All of you are the best!

Thank you!

I'm a 17 year old Muslim girl and I plan on becoming a pilot. Do you think airlines would hire a Muslim girl wearing hijab or is it doubtful for them to do so?

I appreciate your dream. I appreciate your concern. I would like to offer you some food for thought. There are three words that are important in bringing clarity and correctness to your thinking. Concept- its self explanatory. Content- is the actionContext- is the environment in which the action is taken or intended. Certain content is valid with certain concept in a specific context. For example, stopping work called satyagraha was a content, with concept of bringing a foreign power to knees in context of invasion of our country by foreign power. Is that content appropriate in the context of our own government? Practise of Sati was a content in context where society did not protect their women with a concept of avoiding abuse. Is it appropriate in current time? Girls in Syria and Iraq are comitting suicide in context of abuse  at hands of isis terrorists? It is bad but is it wrong on their part? But the same behaviour is treated as crime in other places. The hijab was required in desert in middle ages to protect women from sand, heat and savage tribesmen. Is it not out of context today with neither sand nor savages threatening your survival? Can you participate in a swimming competition wearing a hijab? Do air hostesses from Islamic countries wear hijab on duty? How do you then expect to be a commercial pilot wearing hijab! Do pilots wear skirts or sarees? There is a uniform for pilots. One needs to respect it.I sincerely recommend you to live in modern world with modern beliefs. For a ship to move forward,  she has to pick up her anchor. Let go the shores to sail to high seas.. Wish you all the success!

What is it like to date an Azerbaijani girl?

Depends.Dating Azerbaijani girl in Azerbaijan? If so, then chances are higher that this girl is conservative and even coming from conservative family. It means probably you will never have time to sleep with her. However if the girl grew up in a western country, then it is more or less similar how it works in western countries (still depends on the family as well, but this time I would say there is a possibility).Azerbaijani girl is loyal, rarely they would cheat on their bf/husband. When you date with an Azerbaijani girl, most of them does not think of this as a temporary thing. They think about the future with you.If you are dating Azerbaijani girl, prepare to take care of all expenses. When you go out for dinner with Azerbaijani girl, never pay only for your part of the meal, otherwise this date can be considered as a failure! Even though after some time, they try to pay for both in some cases & then even ask you not to pay for all. But for the beginning, you need to keep this in your mind.Being introduced to her family or introducing her to your family means marriage. If you do this, then think about it :)Apparently, at first stage of relationship every man tries to be nice, polite and gallant. In relationships with Azerbaijani woman you should increase the dose. For this matter, for example, don’t let your woman open the door 1st. This will work against your self-image. You should use maximum courtesy. In other words, do not let yourself to be narrow-minded, use every opportunity to represent a better version of yourself. Once you conquer her heart she’ll try to turn a blind eye to your minor failures.Azerbaijani women are not exception from others. Flowers along with jewelries work just great: either it is for gaining you bonuses or simply bribing any failures.Good luck! :)

What is it like to be a flight attendant for Emirates?

It was like a Dream !! Ok I exaggerated but it was not too bad ;)PROS :-I was getting paid to travel the world and experience it for free.My salary was way more than sharma ji ka beta and that made my dad really proud ;)I have now been to more than 35 countries and did most of the things which were in my bucket list:)I personally loved my uniform and my red hat. It feels amazing to walk through the airports all around the world and people looking at you with awe *_*Living in Dubai was amazing, firstly because it felt so safe and secondly the party scene was amazing. Being an emirates crew we were treated differently everywhere, free entry in all the clubs and discounts everywhere.Banks would be at your feet to give you a loan or a credit card.Free tickets to travel all over the world for me and my family members . No I can't get you a discount please don't message me about this;)CONSLoneliness :- you hardly get to meet your family and rarely get to celebrate any kind of festivals with them. I have celebrated my birthdays alone a lot of times on air or sitting alone in 5 star hotel room .You make a lot of friends but they aren't really your friend. It's very hard to get similar rosters so you basically never get to see people you like because one of you is always flying.Health issues:- Crew is always having health issues some of them would be- constantly jetlagged, sleep deprivation ,crazy body clocks, no food or too much food, different time zones, flying over the poles and getting exposed to radiations ( more chances of getting cancer than a normal person) , pcos, varicose veins and many more.I have flown for a total of 8 years and I have met some of the most amazing people on board but also the meanest ones. You hear them yelling at you for something which is out of your control but you can't answer back so you put a fake smile on and go through it but yes it affects you because we are only human ;)But still I loved flying over the skies and travelling the world and it was a dream come true for me :)
