Who Else Thinks Facebook Is Being Stupid And Making Dumb New Rules

Parents stupid house rules?

I'm 15 and how can I convince my parents with these rules of the house?

1.) No music with swearing in it. If I'm listening to any music, an adult has listen to it with me.
2.) No football tops to be worn when I'm walking in the street.
3.) I have to be watched if I'm on the Internet unless I'm not deleting the history. If I have without supervision, I get grounded for two weeks (I'm using my friend's computer).
4.) I'm only allowed out until 7:30PM cause they think when it gets dark, I could be mugged.
5.) I'm not allowed to have a mobile phone with a camera or Internet. I have a crappy 90's phone and I'm only allowed family's contacts, no friends.
6.) I'm not allowed to have friends who swear, if I do, I'm banned from them.
7.) I'm not allowed to whisper to friends if there's people around, because it apparently looks suspicuous.
8.) Have to go to bed at 9:30PM so I have a "good sleep".
10.) Not aloud to have Facebook, no games with blood in it on the computer and I am only aloud to study and play maths games if I'm on the computer, but as I said, I can't delete history and I'm supervised. If I'm not supervised and I delete the history, I'm grounded.
11.) Not aloud downstairs if my parents are sleeping, in case I have an accident and no one is here to help me.

How can I convince my parents better with these ridiculous rules? I try to say but they never listen and just threaten to ground me!

Why does facebook have so many stupid rules?

why does facebook make really dumb pointless rules like you can only change your name a certain number of times and your status can only be 420 characters. I know there are more but I can't think of them right now. but why do they do it? what does it matter to them? it seems like they just want to control things for no reason...

Is Facebook dying out? Why or why not?

Short answer:Facebook is dying because the generation that gave it life now lost it themselves.Longer and boring answer:Because, hear hear, Facebook was never that great to begin with, and time usually succeeds bursting bubbles. The bubble here is “social”. People are not that great and whenever they pile up like they have on FB, the stench is atrocious!Remember MySpace? It was bigger than life for a couple of years, as the first generation of true Internet inborns reached the right age for socializing. But the personal profiles quickly turned into a tasteless mess. With anonymity on top, it looked infantile and dumb.Meanwhile, Facebook was tidy, clean and occupied mainly by college students and their stalkers. Boring, yeah, but as the MySpace generation slowly matured, they realized what they once deemed “boring” was now “sensual and clean”.Unbelievable as it seems, there was a time when Facebook was to MySpace what Instagram was to Facebook once FB lost its luster. So people went, “we have ruined MySpace, let’s move on to Facebook!”They did.The growth of Facebook coincided with the era the fast internet connection became accessible almost globally. Also, millennials began starting and running their own businesses, and unlike many older people, they realized their internet presentation is the key. But, in my opinion, once FB began serving business and corporate goals, it was predestined to hit the wall. How long are you gonna trust in something that tries to sell you stuff? But the main reason FB lost its aura is that the entire generation Y lost its cool. Once that millennials grew up, they went the same route their parents had. Job, car, house, marriage, kids.I.e. BORE!Young people have that instinct to stay away from the old and dying, especially from the middle age people who tend to be very toxic and dull.Facebook also sped up adopting, aping and mimicking stuff. Nitty gritty: what you see on FB now are pics of meals, pics of pets, holiday pics, political propaganda and bored idiots turning into activists, all that drown in marketing bloodbath.Who is this fun for? Old people as it is. And old people tend to die. FB will go with them.

Is it possible to create a second Facebook account without getting into trouble?

Yes. It is possible, If you don't make your account with your real name. I think getting into trouble has nothing to do with having two accounts. Any account that you have can be locked out of the sudden and for no reason. Even if it's with yout real name. But if you want to be able to use both of your accounts for a longer time, I have few recomendations for you. (Actually I'm teaching you how to violate a website’s rules. So I guess I'm a villain. Ha ha):1- don't post similar posts on both of your accounts.2- don't have clear profile pictures of your face. Because fb has a robot that can recognize faces. If it recognized a face, as both for example Jenny M. Loe and Stella V Peters, I guess you are screwed. So I recommend either don't use your own photo for profile picture, or choose the photoes that are not full-faced, their light and color are edited and are not distinguishable by a bot.3- it's better the identities of two of your accounts not be too similar. Like birthday, policies and interests.4- if you interact with yourself,(like for example like or comment on one of your own posts by your other account), the risk of being detected increases. But for that, you can use two different ip addresses or use vpn to confuse the bots.5- act like two different personalities as far as you can! Although the detector you are trying to confuse is a bot and bots are dumb and a human can always outsmart them, but always be alarmed about the posdible human detectors.6- Don't ever confess on facebook that your name isn't real or you have more than two accounts. Though I've seen people do this and get away with it, but better be careful.7- if one/more of your accounts was locked, don't panick and don't think you are discovered. Know that they lock people’s account only by chance. They throw a hook, pick a member by chance and ask them for id card. Otherwise sb might have reported your account, and that could be out of jealousy or disagreements, not because they discovered you.8- if they accidentally locked one of your accounts and asked for your id, just ignore them! Leave that account for themselves and make a new one! Because if you hand your id, they change your name to your id name and I don't know what happens next. Depends on your country and personal situations. Now goodluck violating your favorite website’s rules! Lol ;-)

Is it dumb to be afraid of sending friend requests to people on Facebook?

I know a lot of people with facebooks, who know me too, but I'm nervous about sending them friend requests. Is that weird? I guess it's because I'm afraid of them denying it or only accepting it to be polite.

I'm only sending friend requests to people I know. I'm not real close friends with them, I just want to get better acquainted with everyone. Is it stupid to be nervous about these things?

Does Facebook have the right to ask for my government ID?

I don't believe this is something that is actually happening to just anyone. Facebook asked for my ID when I wanted to change my last name after I got married. They needed proof that I wasn't changing it to something fake, that I was representing my real name. However, I was able to easily change my last name (to my husband's name, my maiden name hyphenated in the opposite order, a made up mashup of our names, and lastly I was able to be Libby LibbyEgan) without incident and I've seen countless others on facebook change their names to silly, fake things and it's clear they never had to prove it. My husband didn't encounter any resistance when he changed his last name, either. I don't know why, but wanting to change to my real, actual married name triggered something in their system and I couldn't get around it. If I wanted my real name on facebook I had to send them a photo of my ID with my real name on it.

Is it weird to add a coworker on facebook?

I add coworkers all the time...what you really should do is change your privacy settings and create a group specifically for coworkers, which you can keep them from seeing personal info such as photos and your address/phone #, and more. I always add my not-so-close friends under a more limited setting just because it's basically none of their business :-)
