Who Found The America .

Who found America?

The Asian tribes (later referred to as Native Americans) that traveled over the Bering Strait and came down through Canada to settle here.

But it wasn't called the Bering Strait, Canada or America at the time....it was actually a free land.

Who founded america?

You need a bit more explanation here. By "america" do you mean the "United States"? When you ask if it "was founded by Christians," do you mean founded by people who were Christian, or founded as a Christian nation?

You need to work on this question...

*****

Okay, I've read your update. There is no one person who founded the United States (that is why the Declaration of Independence was written on behalf of the "people" and Constitution begins with "We the People").

As to the religious beliefs of the "Founding Fathers", some were Christian (mainly Anglicans/Episcopalians), some were Baptists, some were Deists (what we might loosely call "spiritual, but not religious" today), and others were undoubtedly atheists or agnostics.

In any event, the religions of the people who founded the country is inconsequential, as the country was not founded on any specific religious ideas, beliefs, or laws. Instead, the U.S. was founded on the ideals of rationalism and the enlightenment. The founding of the nation owes more to John Locke and to Baron Montesquieu than to any religious figure.

Who first found North America?

Native Americans. Then the Vikings. It's possible Egyptians, Greeks, Carthaginians, Chinese made rare trips across the Atlantic, but we have only disputed evidence at best and this is also South America we're talking about. Then the Spanish.(No longer discussing who first "found" it)Then the French. Then the Dutch. Then the English.

In which year was America found?

Which time? There appear to have been at least 2 mass migrations in prehistoric times (via Berengia or by sea). So we’re talking 14,600–60,000 years ago. There’s still a lot to be learned about these migrations. So that’s really he “first time” (whenever that was). Some claim that there was a Polynesian discovery of America and later a Chinese discovery. I tend to find those doubtful, but not completely out of the realm of possibility. Then there’s the Vikings who we now know discovered North America before Columbus around the year 1000.There’s also evidence of northern European contact prior to Columbus. (In fact some theorize the reason Columbus was able to convince the King and Queen of Spain was because he had evidence we don’t have today. In fact the real issue his contemporaries had with his proposed voyages wasn’t that he proved the world was round. Everyone who was educated knew that. The problem was that he proposed a MUCH smaller distance to Asia than anyone else believed. Turns out he was wrong, they were right, Asia was exactly as far as away as they claimed. So why did he believe so strongly that there was land there? Perhaps because he had some evidence of prior voyages to SOME land out there.)Then of course, there’s Columbus in 1494. He didn’t really find it.. the people there knew it was there all along, but he’s the first non-American to bring back proof to where he had started.

Who found the United States of America, FIRST?

The United States. Democratic status. Was the source of the controversy at Valley Forge. The founding fathers were democratic. The people who wanted a republic almost starved the entire American army out to prove their point. Then it was set up as a democracy for the people and Thomas Jefferson ended up speaking a lot about it. Then these losers called the puratins came in, representing the republic (big businesses). They fought for almost 100 years to reverse the constitution and all the equal rights stuff. Now you see it, they still try to make it a nazi or king james state. But most of what they have done is public. Because of their joker mentality, now many huge financial industry based entities have more power then people and actually contradict what America stands for. America is supposed to be a democracy, but because of the corrupt idiots who took unrestrained actions. Some things like the federal government. Even though they are a corporation. As a ruling body. It's just a mish mash of good people and dirty people who support business over people.

What would the world be like if the Americas had never been discovered by Europeans?

Without Europeans the Horse would never return to North America. Without the beasts of labor and war that Europeans brought with them the commonly depicted nomadic tribes of the American Great Plains such as the Kiowa, Comache, Ogala Lakota, Crow, etc, would be far more sedentary and less militaristic than their actual counterparts. The lack of European disease would mean millions more natives would still inhabit the new wolrd. The possibilities are endless. Perhaps the Aztec empire, Incan empire, or Iroquoi would expand and form larger empires without European intervention. However it is important to note that many of the tribes that became powerful and notable in our time line did so by procuring muskets and rifles and destroying less sophisticated neighbors, much like what Moroccan's did to the Songhai Empire of West Africa who hadn't had easy access to gunpowder yet. Also certain political organizations would probably not have occured, as many of them were a direct cause of European threat to traditional and mutal hunting grounds that caused certain groups of tribes to converge. ei. Iron Confederacy, Iroquoi Confederacy, 5 “civilized” Tribes, etc. This could mean instead of the Comanche being the bane of the southern great plains, it could have very have been the Karankawa or Caddo. Or possibly even Mexican tribes would encroach further into America without the military sophistication of American tribes to scare them away from greener pastures. No one can really say for sure.

What would have happened if China had found America in 1410 and colonized parts of it before Columbus came?

Some interesting answers here.I see repeated assertions that China was not interested in colonization. That I think requires closer assessment. In fact they tried to conquer Korea, Japan and Vietnam and failed at it. And although the Chinese talk about barbarian attacks from the Steppe (the reason for the Great Wall), there are plenty of Chinese military campaigns attempting to control the Steppe people. Conquests further afield seem more problematical. And there are great costs associated with military adventures and colonization. Notice how the economies of the European colonial countries actually improved after decolonization.Another theme I see in the other answers is that Africa, Asia, and Latin America would be better off without European colonization. I think that is more of a complicated issue. Africa certainly would be better off with out European slavery. It has to be pointed out, however, that it was not just the Europeans involved in slavery—Islam and the Arabs were also deeply involved. At it was the British Royal Navy that put an end to the Arab slave trade.http://histclo.com/act/work/slav...Diseases would have been spread by the Chinese in the Americas as well as the Europeans. And it was Europeans who put attacked diseases that had afflicted Africa, Asia, and Latin America for millennia. It is possible that the Chinese would not have been as exploitative as the Europeans. Here I think that military balance was a factor. Modern weaponry gave the Europeans a virtual power monopoly. The Chinese, however, never developed modern weapons because they never developed modern science.Omitted is the other answers is the positive influence of the West. This is all too typical of Quora readers, often all too willing to jump on America and the West. The west developed modernity, not China. Thus if China prevented European expansion into Africa, South Asia, and Latin America there would have been no influence from the Renaissance, Reformation, and Enlightenment. There could be no modern science (including modern medicine), no modern technology, no capitalism, and no democracy. Just look how Western ideas have transformed the Asian Tigers or for that matter China. As a result more people have escaped poverty and entered the Middle class in just a generation than in all of previous history.

What would have happened if Columbus had never found America?

If Columbus had not discovered Americas someone would have found it sooner or later. However, modern world would be drastically different if the contact proved to be a little different. Spanish colonization of Latin America went at a lightning speed due to two very fortuitous events one benefitting Cortes (Aztec) and Pizarro (Inca). Within 40 years of Columbus landing - two of the greatest empires were gone. This lightning change gave no time for the natives to get immunized to Eurasian diseases and learn their technology (especially metals). The native empires were strong and advanced enough to learn these given enough time. Time was not on their side. Incas were hit right at the time a major epidemic was ripping through them. If Pizarro landed a century later, it is possible that the few survivors of the epidemic would have been able to repopulate the fertile region giving the Europeans some challenge. If instead of Columbus, a number of other explorers from nations with less religious fervor came and open to better working with native empires, it was possible for the native civilizations to have survived much longer. For instance, colonization of India took centuries and India came out of the colonization intact. The natives would have learnt and might have begun their own voyages. If Americas were discovered a couple of centuries late, then there might not have been a massive deluge of migrants from England in the 16th and 17th centuries fleeing religious persecution. That might mean that modern US and Canada might not be English speaking and neither might have English become world's lingua franca. If Spain didn't get such a rapid access to Latin American gold and silver, European history would have also been quite different as Spain might have sooner surrendered the dominant power status to Britain and France. If the Latin American silver didn't flood the European markets, it would have been much harder for European colonial empires to have formed elsewhere. With a much different form of colonialism, world would have been very different. Depending on who eventually discovered Americas and when it was discovered, world history would have been quite different.
