Who Is Most Successful After High School Nerds Jocks Geeks Etc.

Do high school kids still break out into groups like "jocks" and "nerds" or are there new divisions?

Last time I've checked, there are still groups. I went to a pretty diverse high school with a lot of white, Latino, and Asian people. There are, of course, some obvious divisions. White people hanged out with white people. And within divisions, there are divisions. For example, I hanged out with the Asians (who were mostly Koreans, even though I'm not; an occasional Indian). But that isn't to say that I hanged out with everyone. Within that "broad" group, I stuck with the "nerds." I wouldn't call it "nerds" exactly, but there were more like people from the same class. For example, while I was in Biology Honors, I spent time with my lab partners during lunch and walked home with him. It's similar with my math class, too. From what I've seen, people were friends with whoever they got along with and spent the most time with. The football players with the football players, the cheerleaders with the cheerleaders, and the math wizards with the math wizards. There are most certainly groups, and I didn't socially venture out into a new group unless I had 1) a group project I must undertake or 2) I must talk to them about a homework assignment or 3) they talked to me first. (Three guesses and a virtual cupcake to anyone who could guess which group I was in.)

Why are nerds successful after high school?

Nerds are successful usually later phase of their lives and the main reason for this is inspiration and determintaion. These are the two main qualities possessed by a nerd. Nerds usually get inspirations from reading books which are usually related to science and maths and are usually very innovative beings on this planet. They are very determined in whatever they do and strive to reach their goal by hook or crook. They are thirsty to aquire knowledge and this knowledge leads them to success. And it is common sense that women would fall for men who are successful and rich and therefore nerds are the perfect candidates suited for this category. Nerds are also very antisocial because they are mostly academically inclined. And usually relate everything to academics. Hence for this reason they are antisocaial because their minds are not trained for it.

Second important discussion is about looks. There is a saying 'Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder". This answers your question. The ugly girls in high school turn out to be good looking in future because they become more mature and hence this helps to change there facial features and hence they aquire sharp facial features. Also usually the ugly girls are the ones to get good marks in highschool and so they become smart in the future This is the reason they become more mature and beautiful. Here is an example of a mango- when a mango is in its initial stage it is not sweet enough and does not taste good however when it is ripe it tastes better. Same goes with human beings. You have to wait for the right time to ripe.

As for the third point I have not heard of this but let me try. I dont know about looks however I can tell you that the popular girls turn out to be loosers in the future because they do not concentrate on their studies and hang around with friends the whole day hence they become victims of destiny and this leads them to a poor future. Peoplelike to be around successful individuals and hence the popular girls are not successful so no one cares about them and maybe due to this they loose that aura that they have and hence they turn out to be average..... Just my thought... .

Who is most successful after high school? nerds, jocks, geeks, etc.?

I have been out of high school for four years. Through my observations, the nerds and geeks seem to be the most successful. The jocks ended up dropping out of college or not going at all and got girls pregnant and are now raising babies. The geeks and nerds are either graduating college or still in college right now. Some of the girls have popped out babies and gained 50 pounds after giving birth.

Is high school status (jock, nerd, cheerleader…) still relevant when it comes to defining people, no matter what they have achieved later in life? Or is it just young adult novel/movie cliché?

High school is rough, and young folks are still trying to figure out who they are, their place in this world, etc. You’ve heard it all before. In this time, people try to find labels to identify themselves and others (jock, nerd, prep, etc.) to make it easier to develop their personality. That’s great! It’s important to identify your development and growth and see where you need to grow from these basic starting points. You may be classified as a jock, a nerd, or whatever, but there’s more to you. You might be good at singing, or you have a deep fondness for cooking, or you’re really great with comedy, or whatever. There’s something special that makes you ‘you’.Outside of high school, though, is where things get interesting. You see that one nerd grow up into a professional violinist, or that one smart aleck settle down with his girlfriend and start a family. Some people grow out of these little barriers they place around themselves in high school. Some don’t, though. The prep grows up into an entitled, obnoxious soccer mom who complains about too much ketchup on their burger and demands a refund, or the jock reminisces about his days in high school where he had it easy(ish), playing football and being the most liked guy in school. These labels, these cliches will only last for as long as the person they are attached to lets them be. If you see yourself as a ‘nerd’, and refuse to look for growth outside of that, that’s really all you’ll ever be. Complacency is comfortable and dangerous.Expand your horizons. Search for personal development. Learn more about yourself. Be humble, apologize, and grow even more. People will notice. High school is rough and weird and sometimes fucking terrible. The good people will grow out of it.

If the Greek gods and goddesses were high school students, who would be the jock, the geek, etcetera?

Ares would be the jock, of course. Aphrodite would be the snooty and pretty cheerleader. Athena would probably be the honor student and student council president. I imagine Hermes would be the naughty and mischievous type, maybe best friends with Apollo. Artemis would be a vegetarian and she'd be most likely to hold "Save the Animals" campaigns and all that. Zeus would probably be the cheating boyfriend and Hera would be the jealous girlfriend. I also imagine Zeus as the kind of guy who is treated as the "King of the School." Hades would be a goth who would be hitting on a younger girl, maybe a middle schooler (Persephone) :)

Cars? I don't know why but I imagine Artemis with a Volkswagen Beetle, maybe because she's simple. I also imagine that she would prefer to walk, because she's into nature and all that. Hades with a black car, of course. Zeus would probably have a Ferrari, being the popular kid and all that.
