Wow, when I started this, I really underestimated the hassle it would be lol. We went from 46 singers of all diffent areas (Vanilla Ice) down to one. So who did the people of R&P pick as the greatest singer of all time? None other than.... Freddie Mercury of Queen. Thanks again to everyone who participated, and now we can rest the debate! Mohd. Rafi Saab is by far the best Bollywood singer ever. His voice, range, and emotions are way superior to all others, including Lata, Kishore, Manna Dey, and even Rahat Fateh Ali Khan. All others have one or two aspects which are amazing - from voice, range, melody, classical touch, feel, emotions, etc. - Rafi Saab, however, had practically all in the amazing category. From classical bhajans “man tadpat hari darshan ko aaj,” to the best Hindi rock-rendition of “tum jo mil gaye ho.” Only Rafi Saab could have sung those classics. He could sing all genres. Lata couldn’t even attempt pop-rock-tracks, like Aasha and Usha Utthapp. Kishore lacked the classical background to try a heavy-duty classical like a “man tadpat hari darshan ko aaj,” and Manna Dey’s and Rahat’s voice lack the mesmerizing god-given sweetness. Rafi Saab had it all, and some more. His smooth and polished style can be compared with Roger Federer’s tennis and Morten Frost Hansen’s badminton.

because i live in uk, i no a singer dat u mightnt. leona lewis is an absoloutly amazing singer, the best i have ever heard. She won the x factor. She is at number 3 currently in the uk, after being knocked off the number one spot two weeks ago after she spent 7 weeks at number 1. This very rarely happens, but she is better singing live than on her record, which is the case for other singers such as Mariah Carey, Kelly Clarkson and Britney Definately Leona Lewis

People who have made careers singing have done so not by a true measure of their talent but by being able to gather a large enough crowd to where word spreads and fame is gained. The more fame you have the more likely you are to be noticed and get signed to a Record Label. A good way for a girl your age to get noticed is through talent shows. Does your school have a choir? Join it. Does your school have a musical? Audition. Any type of event that will show off your voice will be a good way to get noticed. Also even if you are a good singer, getting a Vocal Coach is always number 1. A vocal coach will help you train your voice in any way you want so that you don't end up hurting yourself on stage. A lot of people sound good but sing incorrectly so they end up hurting their own voices. A vocal coach will help you sing better and much easier. Hope this helped.
