Who Plays Guitar Faster

How to play notes on guitar fast? ?

Repetition and practice. But you must practice slowly. You'll achieve nothing but error and mistake when you attempt to only practice fast. If you want to learn who to play something at a quick pace, you start, WITH use of a metronome at a very slow pace. (i.e. if you want to play something at 120bpm, set your metronome to 50bpm). When you practice slowly, you reassure your brain of where it is your fingers need to be placed. The movement becomes more positively structured and your memory improves, preventing a method of guessing that results in wrong notes. When you practice quickly, you achieve none of this. You rely on what you think is going to be the next note rather than what you know is going to be the next note. Practice slowly, then work your way up in incriminates of 5bpm. That's not to say play it at 50bpm once, then move up, etc., rather, practice it until you are completely comfortable at one speed and can perform it constantly, then start gradually increasing speed.

How do you play fast on a guitar?

First, practice playing a part S-L-O-W-L-Y!!!!!
Play the parts _in time_ with a metronome set at a slow beat.
Once you can nail the part at a given speed without even thinking, kick the metronome up 5 to 10 beats faster. When you master that speed, up another 10 or so til you're cruising at the song's b.p.m. rate.
When I started out I never did that. I just tried (and failed) to play along with song recordings. If there was anything 'fast' about doing things that way, it was the rate at how fast I got frustrated not nailing lead guitar parts.

Anyhoo, 2nd point: when you pick, play with the pick perpendicular to the string. That is, if you were to look at the pick & string from directly above the guitar's body, pick & string would be in a line. As you pick in alternate fashion, i.e. up & down, try to keep the pick perpendicular. It'll give you the least resistance (i.e. not slow you down).

Most importantly: Keep at it. There'll be days where you won't seem to get anywhere but it'll pay off when you nail a particular part. And if you ever feel lazy & not wanting to play just remember: a day lost practicing is a day you're set back, so it'll take you a day longer to get where you want to be.

Good luck!

How can I learn to play the guitar fast?

I play guitar and i assume i picked up sum stuff beautiful rapidly. however whilst you say quick how quick do you imply? A day? or is there a targeted music you have got to be trained if that is so youtube could aid you. But it'll aid if you happen to already know the way to learn song and probably u can begin taking classes after which you'll be able to be gambling very quickly!

How to learn to play the guitar fast and easy?

I have been playing a Yamaha Acoustic guitar for approximately 2 years now. I have never had a formal class on guitar and can't even read music.

Here's what I suggest:

Youtube has many videos to show how you can play certain songs
Google guitar tabs or chords... depending on what you want and learn a song that way
There are chord charts available on line to learn the basic and even complex chords

Try and practice at least a little every day. A little every day will be a lot more benefitial than a lot once a week. Your fingers will hurt until they build up and get used to it. I say, practice anywhere from 15 minutes (if your really not that determined) to an hour or two a day (if you want to get ahead fast). Remember... it's all practice practice practice.

The learning of the chords and tabs and how to read music isn't everything. Also how to play without muting stings accidentally is key as well as learning to switch from chord to chord fast enough so there is no interruption in playing.

Practice and you'll be doing great in no time.

As Mark said, speed without accuracy is fairly pointless.  But there is a key to speed, and it's found in simple physics:d=rtor distance equals rate (speed) times time.Everyone is going to have a genetic limit to the rate at which they can move a pick, and you can approach this limit pretty quickly.  While you can improve the rate a bit after you approach your natural limit, the increases you get won't be very large. So for any given player, rate - or at least the upper rate - is essentially a constant.  That simplifies the equation to:d=tor distance = time, which is something I say to students quite often.  The more distance you are covering, the longer it will take.So the only way to get pronounced increases in speed is by reducing the distance you move.  If the tip of your pick currently moves 1/4" past the string on each stroke, reducing that distance to 1/8" will double the number of notes you can pick in a given amount of time.Watch any really fast guitarist, and pay attention to how much they are moving - their fingers are not coming high off the strings, and their pick is not moving much more than absolutely necessary beyond the string.  The same is true for classical guitarists doing tremolo picking - the fingers recover immediately after sounding the string. The way to reduce distance traveled is by practicing slowly - slowly enough so you can focus on reducing the excess motion.  And you want to practice slowly for long enough to establish it as habit.

You learn to play the guitar fretboard faster by really working at it. By doing finger exercises, warm ups & working with a metronome. The metronome is a huge training tool in this area of development. So make sure you don’t overlook it. I know it can sometimes be tedious & mundane but it will work wonders for your speed and accuracy.Just start slow & over time, gently speed up. You’ll get it if you put in the work. But you MUST put in the work.Developing speed, accuracy & dexterity on the guitar takes many hours of disciplined study & practice. Not for the “once in a while” guitar player.I highly recommend that if your going to go down this road, make sure you have a good solid practice routine. It will work wonders. I can play guitar fast but my fingers tend to slow down sometimes, what am i doing wrong?

I had a similar problem. Warm-up exercises are a good start, but they don't encourage endurance. It's like jogging a few laps and then wondering why you can't run five miles.

What I did (and what I think you should try) is to constantly practice songs that command a lot of finger action for a longer period, or just keep repeating difficult riffs for five or ten minutes at a time. It can be a pain, but it pays off. I used Freebird (of course...it is 8 minutes long), lots of longer Clapton stuff, some Eagles songs, Van Halen, Guns 'N Roses, Metallica, Kansas. Just pick a song that you think will condition your fingers well (something over 5 or 6 minutes with a lot of guitar work) and play it two or three times in a row or until your fingers are slowing down...then force yourself to play it twice more (even if it sounds a lot worse). It will be rough at first, but after a few days, you'll find you can play a little longer before you tire out...then it will be a little longer and a little longer, and so on. Try that. Early Genesis might be a good start. They have a lot of longer songs that are basically just six-minute guitar leads.

Good luck!!

How to play guitar really fast and easy?

If it were that fast and easy to learn to play guitar, everyone would do it.

There is no substitute for practice, practice and more practice. You have to train your hands to do what you want, and develop "muscle memory" so that you can think "G chord" or "C chord" and your fingers automatically go instantly to the right fingerings without you having to consciously think about where to move each one.

The ONLY way to achieve that kind of muscle memory is through repetitive practice. It does NOT come fast and easy.
