Who Plays The Daughter In This Video

What is a good song to play for a video slide show at my daughter's Sweet 16 party?

My daughter plays video games, is she adopted?

I like tacos. Am I Italian?

Is it normal that my daughter (16) likes to play video games which are not meant for girls, such as World of Tanks?

Absolutely normal*.It is true that this game is targeting mostly male players and mostly above the age of 25, but I am sure significant percentage of the players are female and of varied age. So your daughter is not unique or “abnormal” in any way, statistically speaking. Now the important question: Is she having fun? I bet she is. She is making friends, learning how to work in a team, developing her strategic thinking, hand-eye coordination and so on.From a personal standpoint, I am a woman and I’ve grown up on real time strategy games. My favourite one was and still is StarCraft Broodwar. I’ve been playing this game ever since I was 11 or 12. A lot. I’ve skipped classes to go play it with friends in internet clubs, later when my parents bought a home PC, I used to stay up till 5 in the morning to play, then go to school (to mostly sleep in classes). Don’t worry I graduated with almost all straight A’s and have the job of my dreams, so gaming didn’t ruin my life, in fact I think it made me the person I am today.Your daughter is almost an adult and you worry about her playing a presumably boyish game. Leave her be :) She does whatever makes her happy and I am sure that’s what you want her to be.Wish you all the best!*Whatever normal is.

How do I punish my daughter for playing video games?

Let me first say that WE NEED MORE PARENTS LIKE YOU who actually care about their childrens' development. Most parents today try to be their childrens' friend rather than parents whose job is to shape the development of their kids even if it means ignoring what their kids want.
How do you punish your daughter? That's up to you. I would probably ground her and then enroll her in female activities like ballet and knitting...just to shape her to develop into a woman, not man.

I’m planning on naming my daughter Tetris. My dad played video games with me as a child, and I plan to do the same so the name would represent our bonding activities in her younger years. Do you think this is a good name?

First of all, what if your daughter hates Tetris. Never plays it, can’t stand the music and the way the brightly coloured shapes move across the screen gives her a migraine. Now the name no longer represents your daddy daughter bonding activities and instead represents the fact that irony exists and your daughters nagging feeling that she will never be good enough in your eyes until she likes Tetris (not saying this is necessarily true, but your daughter may think it.)Thought about that? Good. Decided to go ahead and name her Tetris anyway? Bad.Here are a few hypothetical scenarios for you to consider:You’re in a book shop when you see a new political book. It’s called ‘The Way Forward’ and has a picture of Trump and Obama on it. The author’s first name is Tetris– does this change your opinion of the book? You’re a kid in school and a new kid comes into your class and introduces herself as Tetris. Does anybody make any jokes or comments about her name? You’re an employer looking to hire someone and you have the choice between Susan or Tetris– who do you choose? You’re at a party and one of your friends introduces a nice lady named Tetris— do you make any sort of joke or comment about her name?My suggestion is to instead name your kid something like Susan or Lily– something ordinary– and then call her Tetris as a nickname. That way she still gets a nice symbolic name that represents how much you love her, but she also gets an ordinary name that she can use for more formal situations.

Is it weird that my teenage daughter loves playing video games?

If I had a teenage daughter who loved playing games, I’d buy her tons of videogames to play, from Dark Souls and Legend of Zelda to Minecraft, every genre, no matter what ESRB says!Videogames have played a really important role in helping me grow up. When I become a parent, I’ll be that type of parent that makes their children play videogames. They’re an amazing way to tell stories.

Who played eminems daughter in lose yourself music video?

Brittany Murphy.

Found my son (17) playing an extremely violent FPS video game in front of my daughter (9 months) who he was babysitting. Baby was laughing hysterically and seemed genuinely entertained. What should I do? Should I be worried?

As others have said, there’s nothing to worry about. Your daughter is barely old enough to realize that objects she can no longer see don’t cease to exist (object permanence). She has absolutely no idea what’s going on on the screen other than “look at the pretty lights and movements.”Once she gets older, then maybe it would be a good idea to make sure your son doesn’t play violent games around her until she’s capable of differentiating fantasy from reality. However, as others have mentioned, maybe not let your son play video games when he’s supposed to be watching the baby. I know from experience how distracting a game can be, and how difficult it can make to effectively watch a kid.
