They have to go through the process again. I asked him to write something in 5 different ways.He wrote the word “something” in five different fonts!When after few months, the teacher asked him to write something, he did the same. What can we do to improve the Indian education system? How can a possible solution be brought to the government’s attention?
**Education in India** is provided by the public sector as well as the private sector , with control and funding coming from three levels: central , state and local . Under various articles of the Indian Constitution, free and compulsory education is provided as a fundamental right to children between the ages of 6 and 14. The ratio of public schools to private schools in India is 7:5.We have a large population where entrance exam based higher education is quite popular but worst thing we have is that no personal choice is available even if you get selected in JEE ENTRANCE exam for any IIT because everything is dependent on rank and students are forced to take branches as per their rank. We have seen movies like “3 IDIOTS” and appreciated a lot but sadly we have nothing beyond appreciation.Almost 6 months back i was having similar itching in my brain about our education system and i was searching google and instantly my eyes glittered by seeing a startup Rankethon on facebook that was running innovation in learning program in different schools and colleges with real life implementation of practical world. I applied for internship in the startup and got to know they are ground to earth team with huge stretch on practical innovation on the basis of interest.Rankethon changed my life a lot as from there only i got enough hope to pursue my dreams as per my interest and the robotics automation field became my key interest. I have even never imagined that something like Rankethon will be started in such a dirty market of India where everyone is running crap schools/colleges/institutes for money purpose only as everyone promises a lot but real picture use to be disgusting.These type of organizations needs to be boosted and supported even i say other startups should also start from the same concept by establishing strong base, as this is the only way Indian education system can be reformed in a manner which can do over all development of the nation.Indian government should understand such startup and support them to enrich the Indian education system with innovations

There's an author named Rohinton Mistry who writes about India, so I always thought it was an Indian name. My English teacher pronounced it Row-hin-ton.
I have a question about Indians/Native Americans?
First of all I'm not a racist. I have many friends of different heritage. In the place where I live there are many Indians and most of them do not work. I am assuming they get a government check because of their status. But they are for the most part living in poverty too. Does anyone know why they would choose to live in poverty and not try to better their situation? Thanks, I'm just trying to understand their situation better and why they would choose poverty.
Any advice for a first time substitute teacher?
I sub in Ohio.. here's how it goes: If you have a good teacher you're subbing for they will leave you detail plans for the day. Grade school teachers normally leave actual lessons... you have to read over the lesson & then teach it, collect the papers, helps the students... it's easy. Middle school sometimes you teach lessons, but most of the time the teachers give you busy work for the students. So bring a book b/c it gets pretty boring. HIgh school is the same way. You pretty much are there to make sure they're not buring the school down or anything. :) It's not scary at all. Amazingly, the students really do follow the rules most of the time & don't give you too much of a hard time. Just remember- the second that they know that you're upset, mad, or bothered by them they WILL EAT YOU ALIVE! So just don't let stuff bother you. You're only there for one day (in most cases) so if they act up just get them to calm down. Lots of people who sub with me tell me they hate it & can't wait to teach... but there are many of us who really do enjoy it. Also, most people don't like to sub for the art classes, so if you do, you might find that they'll always use you for the art teachers. :) Good luck!! ALSO... very important... remember to leave a note for the teacher!! Most of the time I make sure the students know that I leave a note & to be on their best behavior. I always leave a detailed list of what we did for the day. At the end of my note I say, "If you have any questions feel free to call me or email me", and leave both my cell phone # & email address. I frequently get emails thanking me for doing a good job. If you leave your information, then they will know that you did the best job you could. Some subs only sign their sloppy names & don't leave any contact info & that really bothers the teachers.
