Was the fight at summerslam real between edge and matt hardy?
Yep it was all for real.Not only was the match built up as Matt's return to WWE on August 1 ( he had asked for his release in April and had been with ROH ).But as a way for Matt to exact revenge on Edge for splitting up his relationship with Lita.They had a real-life love affair as Edge had left his wife ( Val Venis' sister ) and Lita had left Matt.Neither the fans nor Matt took this well ( which is why he left in the first place ).Vince hit on the idea of booking them in a match at Summerslam as a way of starting the feud, giving Matt revenge and creating some excellent tv. http://youtube.com/watch?v=0um-8ZhUzk0&feature=related
Wrestlemania vs Summerslam?
Would it be fair to say that Summerslam (SS) is a better wrestling product than Wrestlemania (WM) Because WM is usually just very hyped matches that can be fast and exciting but not alot of in-ring skill. While at Summerslam most matches are pure wrestling matches that are entertaining more so for the workrate not the big names or hype. For instance watched WM for only the actual matches bell- to bell and nothing else it would not be as good as if you did that with SS. For instance Wrestlemania 22 was presented very good ith big names hype pyro and all that, however Summerslam 06 had better matches You know how Rock vs Hogan was big at Wrestlemania only because of the names in it but if you had that same match with lets say Chavo Guerreo vs Carlito. With all the same moves spots and finish you would care less. But the Summerslam match with Rock vs Triple H vs Kurt Angle was very good. And still probably would have got pops if you had that match with mid carders in there place. What do you think
Lashley vs Lesnar should have happened at SummerSlam, as it was a dream match for many WWE fans. Why did WWE decide to go with Lesnar vs Roman once again?
We have seen a Roman vs Brock matchup for quite a time now. But what's the fun if everytime Roman is the one who loses. The company drawed Roman this time again over Lashley to end this once and for all. This summerslam is going to witness a title change and then all these years' buildup would make just the right sense.Lashley vs Lesnar would had been huge if it happened as the two had never competed against each other but that would just not be fair to the guy who works his ass off every single day in a week to get the right moment against a part timer who barely shows up.
Kane back in 2000 summerslam seemed to be a different guy?
Glenn Jacobs is and always has been Kane. Much better than his Unabomb or Isaac Yankem, DDS gimmicks. I'm a little surprised that he's back right now - especially in a heel role since he's been campaigning for office. Edit: I should add that I wouldn't be surprised to see Kane turn again and cost the Miz's team the match Sunday. Bringing him out of nowhere into a match like this where he really isn't needed just doesn't make sense unless it's leading to something else - Kane vs Strowman maybe?
