Who Will Win The Al Wildcard

Could you win with a Wild Card in Uno?

Yes.
The point of the game is to get rid of all your cards and when you can put your last card down it counts because it is not making you pick up cards

Wildcards in baseball? How does it work?

The best 2nd place team in each league is the wild card winner.

Who will win the NL MVP this year?

At time of writing, the selection doesn't seem as obvious as last year's, but Andrew McCutchen (.317/.394/.508, 6.1 WAR) looks the distinct frontrunner. Barring injury or significant regression, he's on track towards his best season yet in WAR and he's leading an historically maligned franchise towards undisputed playoff contention. Here he is watching his stock soar:Matt Carpenter (.312/.383/.474, 5.1 WAR) is another great candidate, also reaching career pinnacles with a contender. However, he and McCutchen are lacking in power compared to past winners: only two MVPs in the past 20 years have slugged under .540.Joey Votto (.316/.435/.503, 4.9 WAR) is worth considering, though his OPS, wOBA, and WAR have been better in the past three seasons.David Wright, Carlos Gomez, and Yadier Molina have been destroying pitches but missed playing time will hurt them. Paul Goldschmidt is the NL's premier first baseman with 30 homers, but voters might ignore him unless his Diamondbacks nab the wild card or his average rises to .300.

Who will win the AL West in the 2018 MLB season?

A2AThe Astros are prohibitive favorites in the west. The return virtually the same group of players and have depth to protect themselves in the event if injury. Jeff Luhnow and his crew are aware of the issues that face a team after winning a World Series and will do their best to limit innings early and watch for sign of fatigue. The Rangers would like to make a run but their pitching is suspect; starters and relievers both have questions to answer. How well will Adrian Beltre hold up at age 39? Can Joey Gallo cut down on strikeouts? Will Roughned Odor bounce back from a disastrous 2017 or will he vanish in a puff of smoke? Who plays center? That’s just too many questions for a contender.Oakland will be better but not good enough unless a series of players have career years together. The glow is off Billy Beane and his magic. The Mariners keep trying but always come up short. Part of the issue is their travel time; it’s a three hour flight to their closest road game. Part of it is inconsistent pitching, James Paxton is now the staff #1 and Mike Leake is #2, The King is an aging monarch and not the same fearsome beast he once was.Cano ages well but age he does and the experiment of Dee Gordon in center field doesn’t make Gordon happy and could well fail. Dipoto keeps trying to piece it together but the pieces don’t really fit.The Angels seem to be the real challengers to Astro superiority this year. The addition of Cozart at third makes the left side of the infield virtually impenetrable. Kinsler is a solid second baseman and a significant addition to the offense. Upton’s extension and makes the outfield an offensive force for a few years even if the defense in left isn’t superb. The wild card in Otani. Can he pitch as well as he did in Japan and hit too? The Angels promised him playing time as a DH, will they keep their word? The six man rotation they will use is just the first, other teams will do that as well to protect young arms and help the pen.The Angels had to create a six man rotation because the biggest question - aside from what to do with a future Hall of Fame player who really should retire before he becomes a pitiable sight - is will their rotation be good enough and can an inexperienced closer do the job under pressure?Anything can happen but I expect the Astros to win 97 games and the division.

Will the Pirates win tonight's NL WIld Card game against the GIants?

First A2A request. I just got out of an exam so I will write this answer before I check the score or begin watching...One of the major successes of the new MLB wild card format (in my opinion) is that it incentivizes teams to win their divisions. This does, however, create its own set of problems. The Pirates, correctly realizing the value of a division championship, used their top two starters (the somehow still underrated Gerrit Cole and Francisco Liriano) over the weekend to try and overtake the St. Louis Cardinals in the NL Central. Had this calculated gamble did not pay off, however, they would be stuck with their #3, Edinson Volquez, in the play-in game. This is exactly what happened. Volquez, while a serviceable starter with quality stuff, has been plagued by wildness in the past and may have trouble locating when dealing with the adrenaline rush of a winner-take-all playoff (this happened to both starters in the early stages last night's A's-Royals showdown, Jon Lester and James Shields, both of whom have fantastic command). The Giants, whose division had long since been captured by the Dodgers (the NL's best squad on paper), structured their rotation so they would send their ace Madison Bumgarner in the play-in game. This is an extraordinary advantage for them.As far as lineups go, the two teams are relatively similar. Each is anchored by a former MVP (McCutchen for Pittsburgh and Posey for San Francisco) surrounded by quality position players. The Pirates' lineup is arguably deeper overall, while the Giants' is more top-heavy with hitters such as Pence and Belt.Home field advantage may be a factor here (it was last year for Pittsburgh), but Bumgarner has more playoff experience now than Cueto on the Reds did last year.My pick: the Giants.

Who will win the AL Central in the 2018 MLB season?

Boy Kyle, it seems you ask about each division, daily. Any reason for this? Indians win the AL central. Twins come in 2nd, after that, throw a dart…
