How long can you run without stopping?

You can either answer in time or distance. I'm talking about like a jog, not a sprint.

My track coach made us try to run for 25 minutes straight today. He told us that we would get better at it overtime, but with me and this being only my second day, I couldn't run for more than 2 minutes without gasping for air and having to walk. It seems really difficult to be able to jog for 25 minutes, I mean, I don't know if I'll ever be able to do that. Is this really possible? I was really bad and maybe even one of the worst ones with a low pain tolerance. I think I could have run longer if my stomach and leg didn't cramp up so badly. No one else seemed to have that problem but me.

I'm just trying to get a rough estimate of how long a human can typically run. You can answer if your a pro, a newb, or whatever, good at it or bad all time helps. I'm just trying to find out if someone can really run for a half hour straight. Also, if you know of someone else who can run for a while, can you tell me? Or if you know the answer to how long a human can typically run for in track, that would help too.

How long or far (in distance) can you roughly run without stopping? Or humans in general that you know of?

Why can't I run for at least a minute?

I could'nt either in the beginning. My dad used to go to a park near our house and could easily jog 2-3 rounds (1 lap was about 1km). I was young, I think around 14-15 years old and on the first day started jogging alongside him. I had barely covered 400m and had to slow down to walking, gulping in air like I had been underwater for too long. That was a shock to me! My dad also used to smoke at the time but otherwise he was super healthy. AND here I was, a kid literally who could only manage a sort of fast walking pace and watch her dad lap round after round. Of course, I started improving after, starting with jogging for 500m then walking 500m, then jogging again. It took some time but in a few weeks, I was able to keep a respectful pace for a lap continuously. :D Then summer vacation ended and the morning runs also came to a halt. I have continued to improve my runs over the years but have realised I don't enjoy it all that much. Now I do mostly short interval sprints two-three times a month. On other days, its mostly weight training for me.By sharing this experience I wanted to tell you that you not being able to run for even a minute is probably because you are not conditioned for it yet - some call it being 'out of shape'. Your oxygen circulating capacity has probably not been taxed ever. So after running for a bit when your muscles have exhausted their oxygen stores and are waiting for more, your cardio-respiratory system is not able to keep up. Your muscles refuse to work without oxygen and you have to slow down to 'catch your breathe'. Start running in intervals interspaced with walking and you will find slowly your system keeping pace. All the best :)

Can I run 2.4 km in 15 minutes?

Why not !!As you mentioned that you have never run in your entire life , Let me suggest you something that might help you to run faster and cover more distance .Since you have no experience in running try this technique :This technique is very simple .Milo and calf technique(Just how badass was Milo of Croton? During his childhood (or so goes one legend), the future Olympian wrestler owned a young calf he used to lift onto his shoulders and carry around for a spell. Milo is said to have done this every single day: as it got bigger, he grew stronger. Four years later, Milo could be seen wandering around with this fully grown pet bull resting on his manly shoulders.)So my dear friend if you really wanted to run for 2.4 kms within 15 min . Try with 100 meters in 2 mins . Than gradually increase your speed and covering distance . Focus on your endurance and keep that consistency .Remember that the Rome was not built in a single day . So if you wanted to run , run !!!

Can you run for president with a felony on your record?

In order to qualify to run for any election you must be registered to vote. Most states do not allow felons voting rights therefore keeping felons from holding public office. Many felons are able to get their record expunged after a certain amount of time and can get their voting rights back however in politics where anything that can be dug up and used against you the chances of a felon being elected to any Federal Office is slim, and knowing the way politics works I would say that any person with a felony,(even as a Juvenile), would have a very difficult time getting elected President.

To answer your question simply you have to be registered in the party you are running for office in, in order to file for office. Technically a felon with restored voting rights could probably file to run, however getting elected to the office of President would be virtually impossible in our political climate.

Persons convicted of "treason" can not ever hold public office again.

Can you run 2.4 Km in less then 9 minutes?

its not too hard, that's over 6 minute pace per mile. Pretty much any young adult who has some base running will be able to do this. 2.4 kilometers is less than 1.5 miles. Yes i can do this without too much trouble.

Can you run for president if you are a high school drop out?

Legally, there is no requirement for education, just as others have pointed out. There doesn't need to be, because the President is a representative of the People, chosen by the People (ideally), so we get to decide if someone is qualified for office and vote accordingly.

However, leadership requires a certain amount of knowledge and wisdom, and the ability to demonstrate both. If a person chooses not to be educated, either in traditional schools or by some other means, they're going to find it difficult to put themselves in any leadership position. It takes more than the ability to put your name on the ballot to be elected to office.
