Whos Got The Dog Beats Here

Why do i want to beat my gfs dog? it was a gift from her ex bf who ruined her life. why do i hate the dog?

she has a furry brown pomeranian, its not anoying, but it barks for any reason, its really clumsy and fat. its eyes are popping out and it acts weird, you can tell its not a really smart dog, she loves him and talks to it like its a baby (like all girls talk to dogs) but i like the dog, as any person would like their partners pet. but then i found out that the dog was a gift from her ex bf of 6 years who treated her bad, got her into a large debt, forced her out of school and ruined her life. i absolitly hate the guy and i know that if i see him close to her id beat him with any object i find around. but anyways back to the dog, ive creeped on the guys fb page and seen pics of him and the dog and blah blah, and now everytime i see the dog i feel the urge to hit it... any logical explination to why i feel this way? any advice? no trolls please. i dont want to end up hurting the animal and getting in **** with my gf.

Why does my cat attack my dog?

I have 2 male cats, my boyfriend, me, my daughter, and a pitbull. My female cat Kitty is extremely effectionate to EVERYONE but when we got our Pitbull she has been bullying her alot. My cat keeps on attacking and hissing at her and we have to keep them in different parts of the house so that she wont beat up our dog. Why is she so aggressive towards our dog yet so loving towards everyone else?

My roommate just beat his dog?

Ok so he's always come off to me as kind of an idiot. He owns a dog but works long days and barely even walks her. He lets her out without a leash to run around in an unfenced yard. He allows her to cry for hours on end and instead of just letting her out at regular intervals has her trained to bark when she wants out and when she wants in she barks right outside my bedroom window. Today he left the door blocking access to the garbage open and when I came home it was everywhere. I was working on a strawberry farm and literally could not bend over one more time and I'll be damned If I'm going to clean up his dogs messes anymore anyway. There's puke stains all over the carpet that he never cleans up. I leave the mess for him and he comes home, SLAMS!!! the door and starts beating his dog and shouting at her. Yeah I want to kick the dog too but if it were my dog the solution would be giver her away to somebody who actually knows how to take care of a dog. I know how but why would I ever want a dog when I work three jobs and go to school full time??? I wouldn't He works like 60 hours a week so why would he think he should have a dog??? Why would somebody beat their dog when he could easily get a baby gate to keep her on his floor of the apartment away from the kitchen (I'm sick of her coming up here anyway). He makes like 17 dollars an hour too so he can easily afford doggy day care but he's constantly spending money on things he doesn't need, like a pet for example. I think I'm going to start saving my money for the next six months and move out of here as soon as my lease is up. I'm so sick of moving and this apartment could be really awesome but this guy is a ******* moron. Anyway, this is the first time I have witnessed him beating the dog and I didn't see it I just heard it. He is a loud obnoxious dude too, he always slams doors and stomps around plays loud music and leaves the house, I'm usually trying to sleep when he comes home as I work odd hours so I started being extra loud when I get ready in the morning because he's obnoxious and I want him to be so tired he has no energy to be loud and obnoxious.

Does a dog ever forgive you if you mistreat him? For example, if you've had a bad day and hit him?

Dogs don’t necessarily forgive a person. Their emotional capability is not as deep as a humans, therefore, they don’t hold a grudge or get angry and sulk all day. They typically will show their emotional response in the moment, like cowering down or hiding in a corner, then forget later on. If you suddenly talk in a high voice and hug him, he’ll wag his tail, lick your face, and act like nothing ever happened. I’m sure you’ve heard the phrase “forgive and forget”? Well, they simply forget… as long as it’s not a regular occurrence.Dogs learn from patterns of behavior, so if you abuse your dog on a regular basis- SHAME ON YOU- then your dog is going to cower and hide from you. They will be scared based on the pattern of your emotional state… tone of your voice, body language, item you pick up, how you approach them, etc.Dogs live for their owners. They love unconditionally! It pains me to think that people take their anger out on an animal. What the hell did they ever do to someone to deserve such treatment when all they really want to do is to smother their owner with love. Next to a child, there is no greater feeling than coming home to an excited pet that’s so happy to see you.Back to your question, though. Dogs learn based on patterns. Think Pavlovs Theory about classical conditioning. Here’s a great example from Study.comClassical ConditioningThe people who fed Pavlov's dogs wore lab coats. Pavlov noticed that the dogs began to drool whenever they saw lab coats, even if there was no food in sight. Pavlov wondered why the dogs salivated at lab coats, and not just at food. He ran a study in which he rang a bell every time he fed the dogs. Pretty soon, just ringing a bell made the dogs salivate.Pavlov said the dogs were demonstrating classical conditioning. Therefore, if you continually abuse an animal it’s classical conditioning will be to avoid that abuse or get angry and lash out. It’s a learned behavior. However, innately, if you mistreat your dog because you had a bad day, he’s going to be confused more than anything because it’s not typical behavior coming from you.Not to worry. A good ole dog biscuit or food treat will erase any harm you think you may have done, and he’ll always be your best friend.
