Using Pop-up Blocker
When you install SP2, Pop-up Blocker is turned on in Internet Explorer and set to the medium setting, which means it will block most automatic pop-ups. The default settings for

the pop-up blocker allow you to see pop-ups that are opened when you click a link or button on a Web site. Pop-up Blocker will also play a sound and show the Information Bar

when a pop-up is blocked. You can adjust these settings so that Pop-up Blocker works the way you want it to.
To change Pop-up Blocker settings
1. Open Internet Explorer.
2. On the Tools menu, point to Pop-up Blocker, and then click Pop-up Blocker Settings.

Internet Explorer Tools menu
If you want to see pop-up windows from a specific Web site, type the address (or URL) of the site in the Address of Web site to allow box, and then click Add.

Why am I getting popups on my new MacBook Pro saying "SystemScan is recommended?"

You installed MacKeeper (I’m not going to link to it; in my opinion, it’s malware). This is typically a drive-by download demand from pirate video sites, which means that it’s either asking you to download it directly, or it’s downloaded as part of another package. It may also happen if you visit pornography sites; it’s amazing what people will be willing to install on their computer to access pornography.Typically, it will be installed as part of a fake “you need to update Flash to access this content” notification, or as part of a fake “you need to install this CODEC to watch this content” notification.Almost universally, anyone telling you that you need to update you Flash software is lying to you.Almost universally, anyone telling you you need to update your Java installation (or have Java installed on your computer at all) is lying to you.Almost universally, anyone telling you you need to install a new CODEC is lying to you.If you insist on visiting these sites:Install the “ClickToFlash” Safari WebKit plugin if you are running Safari prior to 5.1, or the “ClickToPlugin” Safari extension, if you are running Safari 5.1 or later. These will prevent Flash from running automatically, which will stop many (but not all) drive-by downloads from automatically downloading. If you are running Chrome, you can go to the “Settings” tab, scroll to the bottom, click the “Show advanced settings…” link, click the “Content Settings” button, scroll down in the popup window to “Plugins”, and select the radio button “Let me choose when to run plugin content”.This will be the default in new versions of Chrome, and is only necessary in older versions of Chrome. This will stop most, but not all, drive-by downloads for malware and fake Flash updates. If you feel the need to update Flash, go to the Adobe web site, and download Flash from there. This is only ever needed for Safari, since Flash is a built in PPAPI plugin for Chrome, which is distributed by Google as part of Chrome.Note that Flash will be disabled by default in future versions of Chrome.Seriously, if someone tells you that you need to install something: you probably shouldn’t.

What is this "EVAL TEXTTTTTT" popup I am getting?

I could not find any answer anywhere online. I have getting this popup on my PC desktop that says "EVAL TEXTTTTTTT", "some message", "some text", "subscribe now", "IMPORTANT". It has an X in the corner and says"hide this message" but won't let me exit it. It is covering some of my desktop files so I can't click them. I have no knowledge of what Eval is except that it is bad for computers(I think?). I don't know why this thing is suddenly appearing or what it even is. Clicking subscribe now takes me to the PC tools registry website, which is weird. Someone please tell me why I got it or how to get rid of it!

On my iPhone Safari Browser I keep getting a popup saying that I have won with Google and it opens a new browser window - how can I stop this?

Why do I keep getting a pop up that says "something went wrong please try again" on Quora?

Thanks for the A2A.You keep getting a pop up that says “something went wrong, please try again” because something went wrong. There could be several things that could cause this. There is no way to know exactly what it is.It could be that Quora’s servers are really busy when you get that message. That has happened to me occasionally. trying again right away usually won’t help. Just wait 30 minutes or an hour and it should clear up.It could be something caught in your browser’s cache. Try restarting your browser, or try a different browser. If the above two suggestions fail, try restarting your computer. Once restarted, try going to a different web site before going to Quora’s site just to make sure you are connected.
