Why Am I Getting Headaches Lately

Ive been getting a lot of headaches lately. why?

It's hard to say because so many things cause headaches. It could be stress, sinuses, allergies, straining your eyes too much, and so much more. If it continues, you may want to get it checked out.

I'm getting a lot of headaches lately?

I used to get many throughout the school year due to not eating/being tired/stress. Since summer has started I've gotten a few due to heat or poor diet, but not very many. However lately, with thoughts of school I've been getting a headache almost every day. Sometimes aspirin help it but usually it's my stressful thoughts that give me a headache and I only don't get one if I'm doing something to keep me busy all day long as my most recent ones have only come at night when I'm alone. I don't get much sleep lately and I'm extremely anxious about school starting as last year (grade 9) was quite rough on me. Could this stress be a reason for my constant headaches? Today I wokeup with one and I took 2 aspirin at about 3:30 which only relieved it briefly and now it's back again. What should I do about these headaches? I won't even go anywhere without aspirin now.

I've been getting a lot of headaches lately?

Not extremely bad ones but sometimes I get some bad enough headaches that make me feel a little queasy. It's usually in the frontal part of my head right on top of my forehead and in my eyes. You know sometimes you'll get a headache and it will just make you feel worse through your eyes? Like a headache just it's an eyeache. I'll try drinking a lot of water thinking I'm dehydrated but when I drink too much water I start getting a stomach ache. That's always happened to me, though. I hate taking advil or some other pill because I'm already taking 2 prescribed pills as it is one for bc and one for my acne. I'm 17 years old. What can I do?

Why am i getting random headaches?

I've been going through that exact same thing for the last 2 months now. Mine was on the left side though and behind my left eye. It started with a 7 day cluster migraine. But I had to go to the hospital to deal with the pain. They tested my blood for a few things. Everything came back negative. I've had a CT Scan done and it's all good. I'm now on a migraine prevention medication to help stop them before they even begin. I also go to a chiropractor once a week and massage therapist every 3 weeks now. The headaches are under control and I only get them once in a while.

Because they are near the front you need to go to your doctor or to the hospital if you need to (if the pain is that bad). They can rule out anything bad, and help you stop them from happening. If you don't want to go to the doc just yet I suggest taking a warm bath in ebson salts (you can get them at a drug store), take liquid Advil's (dr said I can take 3 or 4 if the pain is bad), relax in a darker room and try to avoid the tv or computer (they just make it worse).

Good luck....I sympathize for you.....I know what you're going through.

Why do I get so many headaches?

I am writing this based on 30 years of my own experience of reducing migraine headaches sans medicines. So, this is a proven method, which can be used by all migraine-affected people, with zero side effects. It reduces the frequency of migraine attacks substantially, for sure. Here is my simple but very very effective remedy to prevent/reduce migraine headaches:always cover your eyes with a good-quality pair of sunglasses & also cover your head with a comfortable cap/hat, whenever you go out in the sun/in any kind of glare. Wear the sun-glasses & the cap/hat all the time when you are outdoors, or when you feel that the glare is too much to bear;Eat something at your daily-intake times, without exceptions. What you eat & how much you eat is secondary. What is vital is to feed your stomach at regular intervals, or at/around the time you normally consume food everyday. This eradicates the ill-effects of bile & prevents headaches;Do not keep awake late at night. Ideally, a 11 pm to 6 am sleep is desirable. Also, try to stick to your daily routine, to the extent feasible & avoid erratic daily routines as far as you can;Keep stress as low/less as feasible. Try your best & then, accept the results coolly. Worrying over what is beyond your control is a invitation to migraine headaches;Have more fruits, salads, nuts & other natural foods. Avoid processed/non-veg./fried foods, or consume as less of it as may be possible; For peace of mind, do meditation (focus on breathing) daily, morning & night. Vipassana meditation is very good;Keep this attitude as regards the results, after putting in your best efforts: 0% expectations & 100% acceptance. This will reduce stress & thus, reduce the frequency & intensity of headaches. Do your best & then, accept the outcome with grace & equanimity. This attitude will reduce headaches.

Why would you get a headache after waking up from a dream?

If this happens often you may be depriving your brain of oxygen by not breathing well or at all. Your deepest sleep is your last REM event of the cycle. REM is your "deepest" sleep where everything is still but your eyes. Since this is so apneas are worse during REM. Take this epworth sleepiness scale. Also, Do you snore? Do you wake up with a dry mouth? What do your witnesses say?

Why am I getting ice pick headaches for the first time in my life at 43?

Hormones (estrogen specifically) might be the culprit. Ask for tests, if they happen monthly (record them) you might have your answer, as part of your PMS at the later age, you might have become sensitive to the fluctuations between estrogen and progesterone. If you have never experienced headaches in your life, I would see a doctor. Do the headaches go away with pain meds? Is it possible that the barometric pressure (has the weather been fluctuating drastically?) is affecting you? Have you changed your diet or stress level lately? Are you hydrated well? So many things cause headaches.Good luck!

Headache's?

I have experienced these the week before my period and during my period. I'm not sure what the time frame is for you but it may be that.
They could really be for any reason. However, I would not worry about it unless they become more frequent and last longer or hurt more. Right now I think it's safe to say you are probably fine.

Why do I get a mild headache while I am reading a book?

It’s very likely you need glasses or new glasses. If you only get a headache from reading and you already have glasses, maybe you need bifocals. If you don’t have or generally need glasses, try a pair of reading glasses. But you need to do something. Reading is essential and avoidable headaches are no good at all. Good luck.
