Why Am I Having This Groin Pain

Why do I have pain near my groin area?

Well, personally, i've had 2 hernias, on both sides and I can tell you what it feels like.. It feels like something is rather heavy and you might feel hesitant because it feels like something is going to "break through" or rip or something. I had a dull ache most of the time, and it increased with certain activities, like after physical sports (like bike riding) and felt sore afterwards. If you put your fingers on the side where you think you might have it, and strain like you're about to have a bowel movement, you should feel a bulge (there could still be a bulge without a hernia, you just have to know what your body normally feels like there). Go to the doctor, he'll do the "turn your head and cough" test, and you'll know if you have a hernia or not. Quick surgery, and you're done.

I am having neck/arm/groin pain?

I have a hump on the back of my neck with inflammation/pain particularly if I walk or overexert myself. This pain is somewhat in my neck but primarily in my groin, arms, hands and feet. Bloodwork did not indicate ANA or R. Arthritis. I am hypothyroid (treated). My gyno recently prescribed antidepressant thinking this was all nerve pain - it helped the pain however I did not like the side effects of the medication.

Any suggestions on calming nerve pain, particularly in the neck, on a long-term basis. My chiropractor helps but the symptoms return quickly. Has anyone used anything for calming nerves? Has anyone had any of these symptoms?

Thank you.

Why do i have groin pain?

i went on a hike about 10 days ago. it was 5 miles in length, 2.5 straight down the mountain and 2.5 straight back up, extremely strenuous. on the last 0.2 miles of the hike going uphill, my groin started started to hurt pretty bad, and maybe my balls too. i cant tell because when your groin hurts down there, everything hurts it seems like. so we got to the car, and the pain died slowly. i dont remember pain after that even when we went to eat the same day (i would think it would effect my appetite if it hurt). it started hurting again the past 3 days. and today when i woke up it was gone. but when i moved around it kinda came back, but not nearly as bad as before. i did some groin stretches and all that and there is no searing pain. its just kinda dull and annoying. its right above that big tendon that connects my leg to crotch. any ideas as to whats causing this pain? oh, and the day before the hike, i mistakingly did legs at the gym, back squats and straight leg deadlifts. i was very sore during the hike from lifting.

Why am I having a lot of pain in my groin and thighs in week 33 of my pregnancy?

Yea .. if it's strangely serious pain, consult your doctor. Otherwise as with the rest of the girls are saying, i think it's the pelvic area spreading out for the coming delivery. Perhaps this pregnancy is different for you because every baby 'sits' inside the womb differently.
I'm about 34 weeks too and I've been feeling pain all of a sudden. Hard to walk.. painful when I lie down.. etc.

Get about 3-4 soft pillows. Lay one on each side of you (like under your belly for which ever way you turn to sleep), and one between your legs (between your groin so you have support where it's widened) and under your knees. All that soft support will help you sleep better.

take it easy!

38 weeks pregnant and having pain in groin and abdomen?

I am 38 weeks pregnant and having pain in my abdomen that stretches down into my groin. It is very uncomfortable and only eases when i lay down. I am confident its not contractions, however unsure of what exactly it is. I am exhausted all of the time, and really struggling to make it through the days at work because of being tired and the pain. Dont know how much longer I can stand it!! Please dont tell me to ask the doctor, because I am going to the doctor in the morning and will ask. I am just curious if anyone else had anything similiar. Thanks for all of your answers and your concern. I really appreciate it!

Is it normal to get sharp pains in the groin?

Do you have a pulled muscle? Do you exercise and does it happen after the exercise? The most common cause of groin pain is a strain of the muscles, ligaments, or tendons in the groin area. This type of injury occurs most often in athletes. If you play a contact sport, such as football, rugby, or hockey, it’s likely that you’ve had groin pain at some point.Another common cause of groin pain is an inguinal hernia. An inguinal hernia occurs when internal tissues push through a weak spot in the groin muscles. This can create a bulging lump in your groin area and cause pain. Kidney stones (small, hard mineral deposits in the kidneys and bladder) or bone fractures can cause groin pain as well. So if it persists please contact your doctor.

I have a pain in on the right side of my groin area, what could it be?

Based on revel in, it would be one million) appendix, two) Vaginal Infection, and three) Urinary Tract Infection. The UTI in general has extra signs than you describe, however I just lately found out that PAIN is the one symptom of a vaginal illness (NOT sexually transmitted). They checked me for Appendicitis, too. I mistakenly idea that, for a few ridiculous purpose, I had received such a lot weight that my denims have been becoming REALLY tight and that is in which the soreness used to be coming from. Then I took off my denims and the soreness used to be nonetheless there (and I had honestly misplaced five kilos).

Why am I having lower abdomen and testicular pain?

i slowly got mild pain i thought i sat down wrong and made em sore (ive done that b4 on occassion) i checked by self exam like it do every month ( LIKE ALL MEN SHOULD) i found a lump and was in the doctors office in a new york second. he checked and ordered a ultrasound came back i have a cyst which 90% of men have anyway and very rarely cause pain. however my pain has steadly increased and got refered to the urologist after several tests and "wait and see" meds I scheduled surgery! (that tells you how bad the pain is.... think of a c-clamp on each one with light pressure then go jogging !)

Depending on the vehicle i would guess the added vibration, with my pain i notice it (the vibration) of the car when driving... Dont guess with your boys get to the DR ASAP!!!!!

Why is my groin injury not getting better? It has been months and I can still feel the scar in my groin. I have done MRIs and seen a specialist but there seems to be no real cure here.

It may be time to 'go viking.'  What this means is this:  If the doctor cannot tell you anything new, and nothing seems to be working, it can sometimes help to picture yourself as a Viking.Pretend you just returned from battle, saw lives lost and gruesome things such as people dying by the sword. Now view your groin injury from this perspective.  (Keep in mind I am in no way attempting to discount or trivialize your pain, I recognize your pain is real.)Would a viking be upset with this injury, or would they grab a hefty pint of beer and cheers to living through another day?  The reason I bring this up is that I believe we as humans are capable of dealing with more than we give ourselves credit for, and I believe you are capable of the same. This doesn't mean don't continue to attempt to get your groin situation assessed by a medical professionals, but it they aren't giving you any hope sometimes that hope can come from a slightly different perspective from within.
