Why am I always hot..?

I have the same problem too! There are a few different reasons that could be contributing to this.

Certain foods can cause you to feel hotter after eating them, such as spicy foods. Also, if your body is fighting a bug like a virus, you may feel warmer. Also, some peoples metabolism and body chemistry causes them to run a little warm.

There are a few solution that I use that have worked.

Once I started avoiding super spicy foods for dinner, I noticed that I wasn't as hot when i was trying to fall asleep. I also saw a doctor and started taking food supplements for my allergies and to strengthen my immune system- not only did it help my allergies, i was surprised to see that they really helped my heat problem! My boyfriend was so shocked when I asked him if it was OK to turn of the car's AC one day!

Other things that you could try to get to sleep better is a really cold shower before bed. You could wear a shower cap so that your hair doesn't get wet and sticky. Make sure to spray the water on the inside of your elbows, armpits, and all around your neck. That really helps me cool down!

good luck!

Why do I feel so hot all the time?

I got this problem. I don't know why I feel so hot all the time. I live in a cold city and most of the time I see people with huge sweaters and I am always in a t shirt. At night I feel hot. I also sweat a lot. I dont know if it is hyperhidrosis or if it is because I feel hot.

And this is when Im in my city that is a cold place. When I travel to a hot place. I start to sweat so mucho and I cant take the heat. I know this doesnt happen to everyone, because yesterday I was in a hot place, and she said that she wasnt feeling that hot and she wasnt sweating like I was. This is really annoying. What could be the cause of my problem. I am 18 by the way.

Is it normal to feel hot and cold at the same time?

I know exactly how you feel.It can be reallly annoying.

What you have is something quite common called 'cold sweats'. It basically happens when your body is really weak or has a virus/infection.Other causes could also include anxiety, stress, menopause, extreme exhaustion, poor nutrition, migraine, introduction to new medication,a hormone imbalance, etc.

It's really nothing to worry about. To get rid of it,start eating healthy foods, getting plenty of rest, meditating if you're under stress, taking a multivitamin and just giving it a few days.If it really bothers you,you could check with your doctor.

Why do I get hot flashes at 19?

I have the same problem. (I'm 19 also). However, I'm lucky enough to be constantly surrounded by people in the medical profession, since I am a nursing student. From what my mentors have advised, it is completely unnatural for a 19 yo to have hot flashes, and I should definitely consult a doctor. (Duh!, right?)

Well, they have also said it could be metabolic/ hormonal (something regarding the thyroid, Diabetes, or maybe Birth Control Pills?, etc.). So, to further help you: Are your hair/ nails brittle? Is your hair falling out? Do you sweat at night? Any unexplained weight loss/ gain? Do you get frequent constipation? Feel run-down or always tired? Irregular menstrual cycles? Do you feel depressed or have mood swings often? If so.. Those are all related to the thyroid.

With Diabetes: Hot flashes* aren't related to Diabetes as much as profuse sweating... And polyuria, polydipsia, and polyphagia. Which means excessive urination, excessive/thirst, and excessive eating/ hunger.

And with birth control pills: Have you switched your birth control lately, if you are on any? Have you started/stopped ANY new medication?

Are there any other symptoms? Heart palpitations? Night sweats? Nightmares? Nail biting? Jumpy? Irritable? If so, consider anxiety.

To visit a doctor, it would be best to gather all the information you could about things that you have noticed about yourself which you find to be abnormal other than the sweating. Profuse sweating/ hot flashes can be linked to so many different disorders/ diseases.

There is also a disorder called hyperhidrosis (I think that's it) which is basically excessive sweating.

I completely understand how you feel though. Confused and maybe even embarrassed (I am embarrassed! I will soak through my scrubs at clinicals and completely wet my hair!! Eek! Talk about gross!). So, DO visit a doctor and if he/she just writes it off, KEEP GOING BACK and pester him/her until they find what is wrong. You know your body and you can feel that something is wrong, if you didn't you wouldn't have posted a question! It may take awhile, but you and your doctors will figure something out! And when you do, let me know! :)

Good luck!

Why do I feel jealous of everyone all the time? If I see a hot girl, or someone who is in a relationship, or someone rich, I feel so jealous of them.

Its natural for anyone to envy others. That's basic human tendency. However, instead of feeling envious about them, its better we change our mentality and appreciate them.People get jealous when they feel that someone else has something that should be theirs; they often blame others around them rather than recognizing their own emotions. Envy is harmful enough that it's one of the seven deadly sins—it robs you of any contentment or joy in the things you've accomplished and earned, focusing all your energy instead on what you lack.Source:-The 7 Toxic Personalities That Are Destroying Your SuccessAppreciating someone for what they have or what they achieved can indeed lead to positive transformation within ourselves.“The way to overcome negative thoughts and destructive emotions is to develop opposing, positive emotions that are stronger and more powerful.”- Dalai LamaSource:-Here’s How To Eliminate Negativity In 3 Minutes (or less)Do read the above article.I had a very strange experience with some of my friends who were toppers in their department.I would envy them and wonder “How are they able to manage such good scores whereas I am barely able to pass.” A friend of mine helped me change my mindset and made realize how utterly foolish my thinking was. How do I deal with being hot and bothered all the time?

If you manage a comfortable nights sleep in your humble homestead, safely and without security anxiety consider yourself luckier than folks residing right now in fear and uncertainty in Palestine, Florida, Newyork, London, Iraq, Syria and Yemen, to mention but a few troubled countries in the world.

Why am i craving hot dogs?

I think many people get cravings for certain foods. Lets face it food is not just for nutrition, people use it as a boredom buster, a comfort item, in social gathering, etc. Cravings for comfort foods are probably very common. It is suggested that it may not be the food we are craving, but the comfort we used to get, and would still get from eating it.

I get cravings for things all the time(not just foods I choose not to eat). I get cravings for a lot of unhealthy food I used to consume as well, such as cookies, cakes, hot chocolate, etc. I have had cravings in the past for juice, oranges, and this month I keep craving 7-11 Slurpees. Obviously, my body is not telling me I need the extra sugar, chemicals, and carbonation.

I do not think why people have cravings for foods is really understood yet. Rest assure that you are completely normal, everyone has cravings.

For years now I have been hot all the time. I am the family hand-warmer, as my hands are always hot to touch. Summer is hell and winter hardly feels cold at all. Is there a medical reason for this?

Hi Christie. Well, some people are always hot and some are always cold. It can be a simple matter of body fat, e.g. “insulation” but there are other situations and conditions that can do this but I’ll try to touch only on those that include both an over-warm body AND hands — not one without the other. Women are more likely to feel sensitive to the surrounding temperature. You may have a core temperature slightly higher than most women and women tend to have a slightly higher core temperature than men anyway. I don’t know your age, Christie, but is it possible you could be perimenopausal? Average duration is 4 years but can go on for as long as 10. Graves disease, the most common cause of hyperthyroidism, can make you feel hot all the time. So, as to your question about a medical reason, I have to no way to know this and neither does anyone else here. I get your discomfort, I really do (I sleep in 36 degree weather with a fan on me), and I recommend you see your doctor to discuss this, probably have some labs done and you’ll see what’s what.
