Why do people prefer Quora over Yahoo! Answers?

How do you get rid of resolved questions on Yahoo answers without deleting your account?

Why does Yahoo answers have a habit of deleting my tabooish questions about assisted suicide?
Yahoo Answers database programs only remove posts that have been reported by one or more users of a high enough trust rating to trigger the removal. Users here have never been made privy to exactly what that criteria is, but we know some users have a high enough trust rating to be able to drop posts with their report alone, but for most users it requires the reports of others, sometimes many others, to get a post removed from the display.
Is Yahoo Answers reliable?
No way. Being in the medical field, I'm over at the Health & Beauty boards a lot, and I see plenty of wrong answers that are picked as best answer. It's the blind leading the blind! I'm just hoping people check with their doctor before taking any advice. However, I think Yahoo Answers is a good starting point. It's like having a conversation with your friends. They might give you some ideas, suggestions, or explanations that you didn't think of before, but it's up to you to research & verify if the answer is correct.

How the hell do i message someone on yahoo answers!!?
Click on his avi it will bring you to his profile, if he accepts emails there will be a button that you can click. Be advised some choose not to accept emails. Edit: The round circle with the silhouette, in the top left of the box where the answer is........ when you click on that you can go to their profile page it tells you from there what level you are at, then there is buttons you can click (right under the name) if you want to follow, email, message. NOTE. you have your settings set as to NOT receive emails. as there is no button for it. To accept emails click on your user name it is on the left side of the screen right above the categories from the top it says.....Answers Home, notifications, then your user name. Once you click on that it will take you to your profile page. From there you can edit preferences and can set it to accept emails.
