Why Am I Such A Bad Singer

Why am I such a bad singer?

That depends on several different things. It's hard for me to give you an accurate answer without actually hearing you sing. I Can give you a couple of general answers to your question. First, it may be that you are just NOT a singer. Just because you have the zeal and passion does not automatically entitle you to being a good singer. You may not have the talent. Secondly, maybe you do have the talent and you are just rough around the edges. You may just need some professional help (private voice lessons). Thirdly, maybe you are already a good singer and the people that gave there opinions were just way off. I think you should get with a voice teacher to get an accurate answer. Don't ask people who don't have expertise in the area of music/singing to give you advice. While they may be able to offer some advice, it won't replace the assistance that a trained musician can give you. Good luck!!

Why is Justin Bieber such a bad singer?

... coz he is gay ...

Why do my parents think I'm such a bad singer?

I know I'm not. People tell me I'm good all the time. They make out like I'm absolutely terrible. And it's really annoying because complete random's tell me I should go on xfactor and my parents are like 'no you can't do that you'll embarrass yourself'. They themselves, think they can sing, but sound absolutely terrible in reality. Seriously, they can't hit a single note right. I don't understand, if I'm so bad how did I get like 70 youtube views overnight. I didn't post the link on facebook or anything, none of my friends saw it. People said it was good? I'm confused. Am I bad?

How can I be a singer if my voice is bad but I have passion?

We need to cover a couple points here to clear things up.  One, you can be a singer no matter how bad your voice is.  Two, voice lessons will help you no matter how bad your voice is.  Three, you can always be in a rock band, many rock vocalists can't really sing.  So if somehow you want to be a pop singer, they do have auto tune and that can make almost anyone sound good, or at least in tune.  Personally I think Kanye can't sing at all and even auto tune doesn't help much, but look at him.Let's take the band Beat Happening.  They are a small indie band that has been around since 1985.  They putout 5 albums from 1985-1992.  Calvin Johnson, their male vocalist, started a small label called K Records which put out all their albums.  They toured around, got radio play, and this guy Calvin released dozens of other bands records as well.  He has released solo albums as well.  Calvin would NOT be classified as a good singer by most people's standards. But people love him.  I love him too, love Beat Happening, and love many of the artists on his label.  Here is a sample of some of their work:Now, for me, it's not about if you're in tune, or have the prettiest voice.  There are so many reasons I like, and don't like some musicians or singers.  But passion is important, as is what you are singing about.  Keep this in mind while listening to this album.  He sang in this band for 7 years.  He ran a record company that sold thousands of albums.  He toured all over and still is a singer to this day and this is how he makes his living.  There are countless other singers out there better and worse than him, some famous, some not.  But one word of warning.  Do NOT do this to get famous.  If you want to sing, you sing, all you want.  If you get good enough to get paid or make a living at it, great.  But do not think you will get famous from this, it is exceedingly unlikely.  Just enjoy it for what it is.

Why do I suck at singing so badly?

is it true that there are just some people who just arent cut out for singing no matter what? because I hate my voice. its extremely boring and monotone, no matter how much I try to put some emotion into it, it sounds absolute bad when recorded. I've been learning to sing for over 3 years now, and I've improved a lot. I can stay on pitch, I can use my diaphram, I can sing, but I think I've plateaued, and mediocre is as best as I'll ever get, I just cant see how I can do any better

its just that my voice is really bland and monotone. I am a male, I have a very deep and boring voice. no matter what I do, its just boring. I try to put emotions to my singing, so much that I overdo it and sound like a whiny lil punk which kinda sucks. I just cant sing, wasnt given the voice, wasnt given the talent.

Why do bad singers in chorus sound good?

Well, BAD singers won’t sound good together! But what YOU call “bad” might be just a timbre of voice that you don’t like, or one that lacks phrasing as a soloist. As long as they are singing relatively in tune, roughly the same volume, and pronouncing and holding the notes the same way, the various voices will combine delightfully. In fact, a variety of timbres actually sounds MORE rich than if everyone has the same timbre, because of all the different overtones combining. I find some families with very similar voices because of similar voice boxes and upbringing sound kind of bland when they sing together. Also, some people just can’t hold a note properly unless they have something to measure it against, so if they sing their part alone they careen off-pitch, but put somebody else with them (either in unison or in harmony) and they can listen and adjust. In fact, many instrumental musicians who lack experience singing are like this, because they are used to listening to other players around them.

Can Voice lessons help a bad singer?

I have helped a few young vocalists develop their talent by backing them up musically and giving encouragement but you need a vocal teacher and quick! A live teacher will stop any bad habits you might have developed and will keep you from doing things that might cause you to harm your "pipes" (vocal chords). You can probably learn some things from the internet, but you should do that research yourself. Make sure you start off with some basic things about breath control and proper warm-up.

After you take a few "live" lessons, you will better know your true talent and whether or not you want to continue with your vocal aspirations. Many of the famous singers you see on TV have more training than you think. Don't ever forget that "being famous" is more of an accidental, serendipitous thing than a matter of ability and training- though it never hurts to be prepared.

If people are saying you have a great voice, you might have what it takes. If it is only family and friends saying that, you have to know that they might just be flattering you to be nice. A "live" teacher will let you know the truth right away. Good luck and, above all, enjoy your singing.
