Why Am Starting Dont Like Horror Movie With Very Dark Setting

How can I stop getting scared after watching a horror movie?

Yes. I use these two techniques personally. I'm so shit scared that when I need to pee in middle of the night I probably need someone outside the bathroom door keeping a watch for me (just in case those fictional characters were real and would come to kill me at night while peeing. Haha yes, mind doesn't work by logic at night.)Technique No. 1 -So the technique number 1 is to watch it in mute. Unmute when dialogues are being said. But keeping it on mute will allow you to be not that scared when something or someone suddenly appears.Sound effects of these movies make it more scary.Another psychological hack with this is that watching it on mute won't let you completely submerge in the scary atmosphere, you'd be able to differentiate between what's a real world and fiction.Hence, you'd be way more less scared.Technique No. 2 —So this may sound stupid but it works. So be with me here. I use it. It does help.Step 1 - Make your friends or family watch it with you.Step 2 - When you start feeling scared, make jokes on the movie, make fun of it.The psychology behind this is to ridicule it that your brain knows it's not supposed to take the scary movie seriously. And hence, to not get scared.I hope this helped you. Happy Scary-loween!

Does watching horror movies in the morning make it less scary?

For me, yes, it makes it less scary. Scary movies are best watched in the dark, where your mind and eyes have a better chance of playing tricks on you. Also, in the morning, there tends to be more noise such as from cars so jump scares from movies might not work as effectively in scary you.For many types of movie, to have the best experience, you need to have the right environment and mindset. Scary movies are more enjoyable in the right setting and when you let your guard down and allow yourself to be scared silly.

What is the scariest horror movie you’ve seen that still gives you the heebie-jeebies?

ROSE RED at first scared me as at night I was watching it in our recreation room in my apartment complex around 2003 or 2004 I think it was / The big home estate or mansion in Seattle [ filmed in Tacoma ] with half decomposed ghosts that show up along with dark corners and rooms and haunted hallways ! A hallway rug carpet ‘ghost’ phantom that chased you really fast within the carpet ! The end with the blond college professor lady being ganged up on by the ghosts left all alone as the others escaped ! I KNOW the one actress with dark long hair [was a ghost too and a celebrity in the plot that died once] is one good looking real person as I saw her face on a online photo about acting .

I saw a really sick horror movie, but I can't remember?

I cannot remember what the name of it was, and a google search has not exactly been fruitful.

The movie started with this girl on a bed in a cute dress, and the guy with a camera is asking her if she's ever done this before, and she said no, and it proceeded to be a very violent snuff film where they literally raped and killed her.
Then it shows this guy getting tortured and made to wear blue nail polish and shave his legs. They start calling him rachel and tell him he can't eat until he goes along with it. They end up finally giving him a sex change, and they show every bit of it.
Later they show the guy "rachel" in a family type setting, and he is acting like a daughter to this guy, they have completely brainwashed him. He thinks he is rachel. Then they show him sitting on a bed, wearing the same dress from the beginning of the movie, and the same type of thing happens, they start raping him/her, but he pulls out a knife and kills them.
But then one of the guys who helped with the sex change and the brainwashing comes out and tells him, "you're gonna die one ay or another" and pulls out a video camera.
The guy they gave a sex change to, tortured, and raped was the guy from the beginning of the movie who raped and killed the first girl, who was apparently the old guy's daughter. His elaborate revenge was to show the man exactly what he had done to his daughter, and to do that he had to turn him into rachel.

I can't remember how it ended, and I wanted to find it again, but I can't find the movie. Has anyone seen anything like this?

What do dark rain clouds/cloudy skies mean in movies?

it's just a special effect to elicit fear because of the lack of light and possible danger because of the storm. it is a set up. get you feeling vulnerable so you are more receptive to being scared when the main source of fear pops into view. that's what movies do: they play with your emotions.
how many times have you seen people standing outside around a casket on tv and it is gloomy ad pouring down rain? or when someone has just died or broken up or left and it is gloomy and pouring down rain? It is cliché to the point where it is quite annoying. you should go on to study film making and start new and exciting trends lol.
