Why are Android users so bitter about iPhones? Why don't they just accept that some people like iPhones?
As a former Apple technician I’ve had the opportunity to ask many people on both sides this very question. You’d be surprised how many android users come into an Apple store. And how many Apple users are bitter about Android devices. I’ve spent many many hours discussing Android vs. Apple.I personally have no issue with either platform and I think both have strengths and weaknesses. I simply prefer to use Apple for my day to day because it was the first smartphone I was introduced to and it is what I am used to.During my time behind the Genius Bar I’ve heard all the typical off-the-cuff answers about price, usability and proprietary this and that and so on. After talking with thousands of customers and whittling it down the typical objections, I found, for most, that it came down to which device the individual came accustomed to using first. Most people, when they become accustomed to using a product, adopt the culture that comes along with the product. This is referred to as “drinking the koolaid”. Once they’ve adopted the culture it’s difficult to sway their opinion even if you have a superior product. That requires change.Most people will not make a change without an epiphany event. This epiphany should revolve around a specific pain they are experiencing.It is similar to sports team fans. The best team in the world is their team and you are not going to change their mind.Am I right or wrong? Who knows. This is just what I’ve observed.
Why don't Android users leave iPhone owners alone?
1. Higher the tower more fingers are raised 2. It was 1984 when Steve jobs showed the add against IBM based on George Orwell 1984. It was a new marketing concept where instead of gorilla warfare you go and fight with the industry behemoth directly. That's what some of these android smartphone companies r trying to do with apple3. most of the android junk is produced by companies primarily run by marketing junkies. lot of them are ex-FMCG guys who thinking soaps and smartphones are same. so they put tons of specs and think they can sell them as better products 4. A great picture comes from great optics and not just merely pixels. People who support these spec sheet based smart phones are not mature enough to understand the design, consistency, stability of the iOS platform. More than 60% iPhone users will be on iOS7 soon while its small % for android even after a month. Leave them to themselves as they are not important. With iPhone 5s and io7 we are yet again top of the league
Why are Android users so defensive?
I use android and personally I think the iPhone is a good phone. Im not gonna go and buy it but I dont hate it. Android does allow for a lot more customization, has better free apps, and supports flash that's why I like it. The iPhone is very simple to use and is pretty stable from what I've seen (no random freezes and not many software issues). I like the Apple products I just don't like Apple as a company. They way overcharge for the products and scam their customers out of money every year. I think the android users that you are referring to just see iPhone users as "sheeple" following Apple in every move they do and are upset that they are blind to other options. If the iPhone wasn't so unreasonably expensive then I would consider.
Who else is fed up with Fandroids?
You know who I'm talking about, fandroids are those people (typically teenagers) that have a Samsung galaxy and always brag and brag about their 5 inch screen, NFC, bootyhole, etc. I'm sure the Samsung galaxy is a great phone but that doesn't mean the Apple sucks. I Have several Apple products and the fandroids be like, "you have no idea how stupid you are" and "iPhone users are tainty brainless sheep". Like wtf just because I like Apple products doesn't make make me a sheep. Apple isn't perfect and neither is the samsung galaxy. Besides, do any of the fandroid even USE the samsung features they brag about (NFC?) mostly they just use it to get on Forums and brag about their 6 inch screen and bash Apple. CANT WE LIVE IN PEACE? Have you switched from an Android to an iOS phone and are you glad you did?
I once considered but was discouraged by some facts.I need SD slot that I phones don’t have.I need native language keyboard support which isn't that developed in IOS.I did not like the Itunes dependency.I need comfortable navigation and its difficult from android to IOS.I need a fake address to open itunes account because apparently my country wasn't listed in the country selection. (buying from another country and using in my country).No official support in my country and no availability of spare parts.I need customization and headphone jack.I need uninterrupted sharing options (bluetooth, wifi).I did not like apple’s babysitting approach to users. Everyone isn't stupid.So I got an S8 and I customized almost everything because samsung’s android version is hands down horrible.Having an android is like playing an RPG game. The customization is not only limited to looks but how it functions.IOS is perfect for comfortable orthodox usage.
Why is privacy and security is a major concern for users of the Internet?
Identity theft is very costly for those affected. Staying secure is what everyone says they prefer, but in reality, we all throw so much personal information all over the Internet, most notably, Facebook. So, it's not that big a concern until you've been taken.
