Do you think Manchester United is an overrated club?
I am from India and i am an United fan. Firstly as most of the others have said look at the stats-In Domestic competiton they have 20 league wins(they also topped the 2nd divison twice), 11 FA CUP , 20 FA Community shield and 4 Carling cupStatictically,they are the most successful club in EnglandBesides they also have 3 UEFA champions leagues,2 Super cups and 2 club world cup( in 1999 it was called inter-continental club)Again Statiscially even if they are not the most successful they are among the top 5 successful clubBut winning trophies is not the only condition for a club to be successful.You have to make some players too. Here, also Manchester United is one the best with the likes of Bobby Charlton, George BEST and many more! Cristiano Ronaldo is what he is today only because of his time at Manchester.The United Academy is famous worldwide and quite rightly so,having made the famous class of 92We love Batman,right. Mostly because even after a tragedy he can rise to conquer his enemies. So did Manchester United !On 6th February,1958 United lost most of its first team players as well as support staff in the dreadful air tragedy(As a United fan i applaud all the rival and other teams who came in support of United in those dreadful times)Now, fast forward 10 years, United won the European CupThat is what a Champion team should do!Lastly United now has become a brand worldwide and has probably the highest number of followers.I do agree some of these so called 'fans' are plastic fans but certainly not most.Many people hate us, but has been clear from the other answers if you truly follow football no matter which club you follow no one can disrespect United and it is certainly not an over-rated club!

Manchester United, if anything, has a lot of underrated players in their squad simply because the world blamed the entire squad for their lack of finishing.I agree stats don't give the whole story. But for someone to be superior in almost all attributes when compared amongst who everyone perceives as the best should show you why he was under appreciated by everyone.Now that's herrera's stats as compared to Kante(the best of the best). See how these midfielders never got their due appreciation because the man united attack has been wasteful.Here is Bailly as compared to another defender who was praised like hell.The manchester united attack was wasteful and was bad at finishing but was one of the best at chances created. Is Manchester United overrated this season, because the performance is just not good enough?

Are you watching the same games?Manchester started their Premier league season with a 4–0 win against westham, followed by another 4–0 win against swansea, followed by a 2–0 win against leicester, a draw against stoke, a3–0 win against Basel, a 4–0 win against Everton, another massive win against burton in the Carabao cup, and this weekend they beat southampton 1–0 in a quite difficult game. how is this overrated?Before the start of the season, Most youtube channels and Pundits were saying that City will be favourites to take the title this season, they were even saying that City might win the Champions league. Now, i’m not saying that what they said is false, because, at the moment, City are kinda perfect, banging goals here and there, but it’s the fact that they kind of underestimated United, now look what’s happening, United going head to head with City, 16 points each. Compared to last season, ManUnited are doing great, we had a problem last season, a major one for that matter, it was the finishing: we create so lany chances, but we ned up scoring none, and as a result, we had so many draws, and it was so frustrating, looking at this season, scoring goals isn’t a problem abymore, we won 4–0 three times this season, so we are definitely improving, also our defense is looking solid, and as SAF used to say: “ Attack wins you games, the Defense wins you titles”.the only game where you’re allowed to say that United didn’t perform very well, was the one against Southampton, but here’s the thing: as long as we’re winning, i don’t give a fook about the performance.I hope my answer helped you.GGMU.™
