These are like managing small inconveniences while in reality, a big opportunity is produced to enable those who have to reduce their ‘pithru-kadan’ by offering tarpaNam. The sun and the moon are not just two celestial bodies. The sun stands for fathers, as pithru kaaraka and the moon stands for mothers, as mathru kaaraka. The sun is also known as Atma kaaraka, the moon, the mano kaaraka.And the day the Atma and the mind align together, this oblation is offered with shraddha. significance of Grahana- Surya Grahan, solar eclipse, is widely mentioned in the Holy Scriptures of Hinduism. There is also an interesting myth regarding the occurrence of Surya Grahan. It happened during the Samdura Manthan (churning of ocean) episode in the Puranas. Rahu (Demon) and Mohini, an incarnation of Lord Vishnu, are the main characters in the incident. The Amrit (elixir) that was obtained from churning the ocean was cunningly stolen by Ausras (Demons). Lord Vishnu took the form of Mohini, a beautiful damsel, to win back the Amrita. She achieved her mission by enamoring the Asuras, they fell for her beauty and handed over the Amrita to her. Mohini returned to the Devas and started distributing it. Devas sat in a line and mohini gave a portion to each one of them. Rahu, an Asura, who found out that they were tricked took the form a Deva and sat in the line between Chandra (Moon God) and Surya (Sun God). When Mohini approached Rahu, Chandra and Surya realized that Rahu was not one among them and soon identified him as an Asura. Mohini soon severed the head of Rahu which flew into the sky. Rahu’s, depicted in the form of a Snake head occasionally, continued to live and decided to avenge Surya and Chandra. Thus periodically Rahu engages in a war with Surya and Chandra.The Chandra Grahan (Lunar eclipse) and Surya Grahan (Solar eclipse) takes place when Rahu gobbles up Moon and Sun respectively. Why can't you take a shower during a lunar eclipse? Why do many Hindus from India follow this custom?
It surprises me that aside from the historic beliefs of Hinduism no one has explained the true danger of showering during a full lunar eclipse.As many if you already know, and others will realize is true after thinking about it, total lunar eclipses only occur during full moons. It is also true that since the late 1930's lycanthropism has become more and more correlated with the full moon.So consider this scenario, you begin taking a shower while in your wolf state before the eclipse. During the eclipse you will begin transforming back to human form. With the slippery floor and the surrounding hard and gripless surfaces you will almost certainly fall during the thrashings of the transformation with a high likelihood of brain injury.Naturally, if you begin showering during the eclipse and do not finish before its end, you may begin your lupine transformation with the same deadly consequences as described above.Now I know what your thinking, you are not a werewolf so you have nothing to worry about. Well think again. Regardless of the poppycock you have been fed by popular media, lycanthropism is a strictly genetically based syndrome that cannot be passed from one individual to another. Moreover, while the first transformation has never been seen before pubescence, the transformation can commonly occur for the first time as late as the mid fifties. To be safe, anyone under 65 should consider that they may harbor latent lunar-lupine syndrome.*So the rule is, if you are in human form you can shower during an eclipse but you must be very careful to finish before the eclipse is over. Which calender system is more accurate, Lunar or Solar?
The solar year is "accurate" in the sense that, with minor correction every so many years, it maintains the days of the year in close correspondance with the position of the earth in its orbit, say within a day or so. Thus, March 21 and Sept 21 are always the equinox, to within a day or so error; in the northern hemisphere, August is always midsummer and Christmas is always in winter, etc. The calendar corresponds to the solar year and hence to the seasons.The lunar calendar is accurate in the sense that it measures the passage of time by the phases of the moon. The phases of the moon come at the same time each month (for instance, full moon is exactly mid-month, etc.)If you think the phases of the moon are important, then you want a lunar calendar. You note that the solar calendar is flawed, because the full moon falls on a different day each month. If you think the seasons are important, then you want a solar calendar, and you think the lunar calendar is flawed because the holidays aren't seasonal.Islam uses a pure lunar calendar, and the days of the year do not correspond to the seasons. One year, Ramadan is in the summer; a few years later, it is in the spring; etc. The lunar year falls short of the solar year by around 11 days (someone will correct me if I've misremembered.) The early Muslims were not farmers, and it was not important that holidays fall at certain seasonal times.The Jewish calendar follows a lunar calendar with adjustments; every so often a full month is added, so that the holidays come out in the right season. The early Israelites were farmers and shepherds, and the Jewish holidays correspond to harvest and planting time in ancient Israel. On the other hand, the new moon was important, and so a calendar was developed that was mostly lunar but adjusted to roughly reflect the seasonal year.
When Imam Mahdi will appear how a common man will know?
@Faisal Very true. The prophecy has been fulfilled in 1981-82 but what about the claimant. Nobody, being Imam Mahdi, claimed that these signs appeared for him. Nor even anyone else recognize the that the prophecy is fulfilled for a person. So God showed the sign for his mahdi but Mahdi did not claim them at that time not even after that...its ben 30 yrs now. We only have one person who openly declared that Solar eclips back in 1894 was the heavenly sign for his appointmnet as Mahdi. He was Mirza Ghulam Ahmad of Qadian (see first answer by 1qFactor) The claimant is here, and the prophecy is fulfilled! May Allah guide us all!
As a Muslim would you support this Muslim cleric or oppose him & on what grounds you would do that?
I am a Salafi, and I oppose some part of it. I oppose “Ahmadis” period, (I refuse to call them Muslims). I oppose the cleric on the basis that he can’t make anyone to stop sending dorood to Prophet ﷺ.For those who doesn’t know the background of “Khatme Nabuwat”, it is not a sect, but an organization who has taken a mantle of exposing the lies of “Ahmadi”. The charter I am aware of does a different kind of work and calling them “hate group” is really silly.The charter of Khatme Nabuwat that I am aware of, is going to the remote villages in India and exposing the lies of Ahmadis missionaries who are giving monetary and other benefits to the poor and the uneducated and presenting their version “Ahmadi” as the real Islam. The charter that I have many of my friends member of, go to these extreme places and shows the uneducated the difference between Islam and Ahmadis.Although I doesn’t support their every ideology 100%, I agree and appreciate the work they are doing.

Serious answers please. Reading Revelations, the seven seals. It is obvious that the seven seals represent a time frame since the ministry of Jesus, so going threw the seals where do you think we are now, which seal?
