Why Are Carnivores So Cruel

Why Scorpios are so cruel?

The Scorpion is one intense little creature, with enough poison in its own tail to disable or kill a much larger opponent. But the problem with this kind of built-in biological weaponry is that it must be mastered in order to be used most effectively. Scorpio is the only sign that has three animal totems. First, there is the well-known Scorpion with its active tail. Second, as the Scorpio learns to master its passion and hold its instincts at bay, it changes into the Eagle. The Eagle has more perspective, for it flies high above the surface of circumstances, swooping down with its power only to kill prey for food. In its third form, the Scorpion becomes the always-peaceful dove. The real meaning of Scorpio is thus shown. Scorpio is about metamorphosis. Scorpios transform the painful poisons of possessive passion into a higher consciousness based on universal love. I think they're like that by nature.

Why can carnivores only eat meat?

Carnivores /can/ eat non-meats (just look at the average dog...). We call them carnivores because their primary sustenance comes from meat. Biologically, carnivore typically lack the digestion systems---intestinal enzymes, stomach size/type, teeth, etc.---to break down the nutrients in plants.

For example, humans are considered omnivorous (though some people foolishly object to this classification), and as such have digestive systems that gain nutrients from a variety of foods. However, we classify several things we eat as "dietary fiber": "fiber" is actually indigestible ruffage that comes from plants. We gain little or no nutritional value from it, though it does help to keep our digestive system running smoothly by giving it something to process that doesn't stick to the intestines or get absorbed by them.

For carnivores, they are affected by most plants the same way we are affected by dietary fiber. They may get very, very ill from eating too much plant material, as very little of it gets digested.

Whats so bad about being a Carnivore?

Some of the answers on this section of Yahoo! Answers are priceless! You only have to listen to these types rant on about how humans are not carnivores (or shouldn't/don't need meat and animal fats to thrive) to know all you need to know about their current levels of ignorance/enlightenment.

http://uk.answers.yahoo.com/question/ind...

As for the person who proudly states that meat (raw?) is hard to digest and that humans only started eating it because of cooking! I think you'll find (given exposure to something called Reality) that the opposite is true: that humans cannot (easily, efficiently or adequately) digest raw vegetables and we only started to eat those (grains, leaves, roots, seeds, legumes) in quantities because of developing methods of cooking. Prior to this such foods had largely been off the menu. How have you managed to get everything so back-to-front and standing on its head?

Astonishing. Yet vegetarians quite happily advocate herbivorous diets (for humans). Unbelievable and monstrous ignorance, arrogance and dangerous delusions!

Humans do not exist as omnivores - just because humans can eat some foods of both (processed) plant and animal origin does not make them an omnivorous species! Why can't people get this simple piece of science through their skulls?

You go ahead and eat your meat (and animal fats) and raw diary/eggs... loads of it... freely include fruits and also some veg/sprouts (preferably juiced) and don't let these misguided types grind you down.... eat your natural diet without shame or guilt, do so loudly and do so proudly and without pampering to the neurotic unhealthy and unnatural delusions of (anti-scientific and anti-human) fools fluttering like moths to your flame.

Does the existence of carnivores disprove God?

For the sake of argument, i circulate to assume you're some version of Judaism, Christianity, or Islam. because of the fact no person has countless expertise, that's impossible to coach something would not exist, has not existed, or won't exist at it sluggish, in any component of the universe or previous if certainly one of those place exists. Your god would not carry a monopoly on cutting-edge, in fact, interior the masses of years because of the fact the god of Abraham grew to become into invented, no person has been in a position to coach evidence of his existence. This fact on my own shows an exceedingly severe probability that your god is imaginary. are you able to coach Zeus would not exist? are you able to coach Thor would not exist? How approximately Vishnu? Apollo? Odin? Zool? Do you have faith all those gods and those I did not point out are all sitting interior the god room, indignant because of the fact no person believes they exist? i will in simple terms practice that the belief of your god is a logical impossibility. Your god is defined as being all-understanding, all-loving, and all-effective. And yet if we are in command of the easy theory crime of disbelief, we are banished to an eternity of suffering in hell. So your all-loving, all-understanding, all-effective god created me, understanding complete nicely in improve that i does not have faith, did not do one rattling factor to coach his existence (he's wide-spread with of precisely what might make me have faith because of the fact he's all-understanding) and loves me plenty that he created a place like hell in simple terms for me and individuals like me. ok. So there, i've got used your faith to coach that your god isn't loving, thoroughly ignorant, and thoroughly powerless. Oddly adequate, those are the comparable characteristics possessed by using something that would not exist.

If eating animals is so bad, how do explain carnivores?

Actually no they are not evil. Do I like that it happens? No. Do I understand why it happens this way right now? Yes, it is survival.

If you have faith in God, and I am not pushing religion or my faith here but I wanted to share something I have read in the Bible where it says that all animals will one day eat only the vegetation of the ground and even the serpent will not harm the child at play.

I find it so comforting and happy. While I do understand animals will not live forever and ever as humans do, they wont eat one another in the new restored earth, and that is a beautiful thing.

So no I do not think an animal that eats to survive right now is evil with intention. Have you ever seen a dog and a tiger or cheetah ever be best friends in real life? I have seen it many times with many variations of animals that would normally swallow up the other out of hunger to survive or feed the babies.

This world is cruel yes but one day it wont be.

Depends on their species and habitat, and on what's available. As others have pointed out, pandas feed almost exclusively on plants and they live in a place where the bamboo they feed on readily found all year round, and they migrate during winter to find it.On the other hand, polar bears eat almost exclusively meat as they live in places around the Arctic Circle where there is little plant life for them to forage. Bears like grizzly and blacks need to fatten up in order to hibernate, and meat is a valuable and excellent food for that purpose. They have a limited time to get enough to eat when fall kicks in before hibernation, so they can't be picky about what they come across.

No. It is how it is because every living thing has to have a source of energy. For plants, the source of energy is the sun and they use it to make food for themselves so they can grow and live. For herbivores, the source of energy is gained by eating plants which provide them with the food the plant made for itself. With carnivores, the source of energy is other animals. Now can I ask you a question? Given your outlook about carnivores eating herbivores, do you think it is somehow OK for herbivores to eat plants that have desperately tried to make stores of food for themselves, or to provide for the next generation, by putting nourishment into seeds? Do you think plants are Ok with this? In fact, plants that have been attacked by a herbivore send signals all over the plant to recover from the attack. They invest energy into making compounds to deter would-be attackers. But this takes energy, energy they could otherwise use for their babies (seeds) How is that fair? Or would you now class that as gratuitous and unneeded cruelty as well?

I am born in a South Indian Orthodox Vegetarian family. We have never had even Garlic at home. No one in our house tasted meat or fish ever. I wasn’t able even take the smell of meat or fish from neighbors and sometimes room mates (3 years ago) . So forget about me. My parents have never lived with anyone eating meat. They have had friends though. Overall there was no involvement of Non vegetarian food in our house. When i was about 9 years my mom brought home a month old German Shepard. We loved him than ever. When he was about 3 years old, we realized that he needs enough nutrition and that’s not going to come from the milk, or eggs we provide. My dad was totally against having a pet because he argued that None of us can stay at home to take care of him. My brother and I would go to school and they used to work all day. But one day I remember my DAD himself went to a chicken store near our house, asked the guy to give chicken to feed a dog, filled our dog’s bowl with that chicken and placed it on our terrace and let him enjoy his meal.He had a great time I guess. Later we hired a guy who would bring meat and feed him (He brought some bad meat due to which our dog got sick, that’s a different story) . But the point is, my dad who was against keeping a dog, loved him so much that he went to a store to get chicken for him.Even till today My mom or dad don’t eat meat. I couldn’t either. It’s just the thought I had from childhood about meat and the texture is too gross for me. I am planning to adopt a dog/puppy in near future and I wouldn’t mind feeding him/her any kind of meat.Thanks.

A2A. The only cases of this that I've personally encountered are vegans feeding their pet cats a vegan diet, and yes, it's not only cruel but abysmally stupid. Cats are obligate carnivores, and they need meat to be healthy. A person who has a moral objection to feeding meat to an obligate carnivore has no business owning a cat.Dogs are a different story, and being omnivores, they can potentially do well on a vegan diet, but no one should attempt this without consulting with a vet (and preferably a pet nutritionist), and putting the time and effort into making sure their dog is getting enough easily digestible plant protein, plus a proper balance of amino acids.I have a dog, and I feed him meat because I (and his vet) think it's the best diet for him. The vast majority of pet-owning vegans I've met are responsible pet owners who don't impose their ethics on their animals in a way that's detrimental to their health. The bottom line is that most ethical vegans love animals, and will do whatever is in their pets' best interests. There will always be exceptions, and from what I've seen, it's more an issue of ignorance than one of deliberate cruelty—not that there's any excuse.
