Why Are Fitness Components Important For Successful Participation In Sport

Why is sports important ?

Because it keeps you physically fit, emotionally balanced, socially active and above all, makes you look really young and smart!!

Sports is very much engrained in the psyche of America. Sports is important to America because very rarely does a game take place (and I'm speaking about American football here) that there isn't an underdog. It's also important because sports fuel's America's thirst for competition.America loves underdogs. I think the underdog status goes back to the days of the American Revolution. America was trying to win it's freedom from the world's superpower at the time, Great Britain. America defintely had underdog status seeing how most of America's troops were a bunch of ragtag soldiers who were under trained and under powered and supplied: Think the scene in Stripes were Bill Murray leads his platoon through the remainder of bootcamp when their drill sergeant Sgt. Hulka is injured. One could compare America's obsession with sport (American football again) with our penchant for war. Sports in America sometimes refers to aspects of the game as if the commentators were describing a battle, for instance the gridiron. [I]t’s an organized, socially-approved, group competition requiring a significant level of discipline and group training, largely performed by masculine youth who have the necessary combination of physical abilities, testosterone-fueled aggressiveness, and obliviousness to pain. Split-second physical group tasks need to be choreographed in an environment of physical and mental exhaustion, with a thinking opponent trying to upend your plans while implementing their own. And just as in war, the winner also wins economically. The winner of a war can profit in many ways asm does the winner of a football game and eventually the winner of the Superbowl wins economically. The winner of a football game (or any sporting event: Baseball, Hockey, Basketball) wins by selling more tickets. They win by selling more paraphernalia such as jerseys, hats, etc.

Which of these fitness components are important in netball?

For the best answers, search on this site https://shorturl.im/aygsD

Fitness = cardiovascular endurance, muscular endurance, muscle strength/power, flexibility, speed and reaction time, skill or motor fitness (eg co-ordination, balance, agility), body composition (fat-lean ratio) and nutrition. The first 3 are the main ones required for all the sports named above. With maybe flexibility being more important for dance. To be more specific: Football and rugby- cardiovascular endurance, muscular endurance, muscle strength (legs in particular), speed. Tennis - CV endurance, muscle endurance, muscle strength (esp in arms), co-ordination, agility, speed. Dance - CV endurance, muscle strength (esp in legs), body composition, flexibility Netball - Same as tennis really? Is that enough detail or do you need to know the definition for each of those components? Happy to answer more for you if you want

1.) Discipline - To compete at higher and higher levels of athletics it requires a great amount of discipline to continue honing ones craft and skill.2.) Mental "Toughness" - You will feel pain, fatigue, exhaustion, defeat, intense joy, and immense disappointment and you will be forced to reconcile with you and you alone how you deal with these emotions.3.) Teamwork and Cooperation - Even if you're playing an individual sport you will have to learn how to operate and cooperate within the confines of a sport's rules and regulations, train with others, take advice, give advice, and seek solace in the fact that the only way to become better and learn what you don't know is by observing others and learning from them4.) Fitness - Hopefully everyone as I have developed a life long passion and understanding of your body: how it reacts, how it adapts, how it can change, eating well, sleeping well, and how great you feel when you are at the height of physical fitness. And hopefully this knowledge of training your body and being generally healthy will carry you into many many more years of living an improved life. All of these things I will pass on to my children. In this age of terminal, preventable disease and unprecedented obesity I believe this is reason enough. And about a thousand other small, indispensable lessons I learned in all my years of being an athlete. I encourage all others to follow suit. Doesn't matter if you're Michael Jordan or Joe Schmoe...the benefits can be equally rewarding!

About fitness components of rock-climbing.?

Required? Not for someone starting out. But if one plans on being successful in the sport, then these 4 body attributes will help significantly.
Rock climbing is body weight resistance activity. You need strength to be able to hold yourself on the wall and progress higher using arms, legs, shoulders, core, back, hands, etc. You need endurance because most climbs are more than just a couple of feet. Indoor climbs usually start at around 30 ft and go up from there. Outdoors, 30ft is a very short climb. But even this height is considered work by most. In climbing, composition means to maximize strength to weight ratio. You will be moving your entire body weight up the wall. If you are too heavy, it makes things more difficult. Note: do not confuse "heavy" with "fat". I've witnessed a number of built guys guys climb and fail miserably because their muscle weighs a lot, but their overall strength was not enough to keep them on the wall. Plus, due to being bigger, they had less flexibility as well. Don't get me wrong, being overweight and/or out of shape wont help either. Flexibility is important because you have to be able to transition body weight from foot to foot or hand to foot, etc. This can result in some interesting body position that require decent flexibility.
Go look up some of the top climbers of today: Adam Ondra, Chris Sharma, Alex Honnold, Tommy Caldwell. These guys are some of the BEST. Check out some videos online. You will see how they are built. Watch how they move on the rock. Mixing strength with flexibility with endurance. Static compression strength and explosive big move power.
From my experience, the 1st time climbers that have the most success are dancers, gymnists and wrestlers. These athletes all have the 4 attributes you listed because they are also necessary in their primary activity. For them, once they get a hang of the technique and get over the fear of falling, they are quite successful in easily getting to the high-moderate skill levels.
I hope this helped.
-Good luck

Fitness components needed in AFL and reason why.?

first and foremost an excellent fitness coach, which Port Adelaide were successful in acquiring, the difference in the team is obvious, the ability to run a game out for four quarters has been the big difference in the improvement of Port Adelaide this year

Teenage is the time period which will decide the future of the child i.e. how will his late 30s be and rest of his life will be. Physical fitness is not just gained by doing workout but it can also be achieved by yoga.People don't eat once out of three times a day thinking that it will decrease body fat. But it is not so. Body is very adaptive and thus it will decrease metabolism rate resulting into storage of fat. So if you workout or do yoga there will equilibrium in vata, pit, kaff (I am not sure about spellings) resulting overall fitness. In teenage due to change in hormones huge energy is produced and thus pimples are seen on one's skin. It can also be reduced by using this energy in playing sport or yoga or any sort of activity.

A complete education to a child is a balanced combination of study and sports. We can make a topper only with study, but if we want to make him/her a better person then sports are necessary. As school life is the beginning of everything for a child, he learns from a school how to live with others, how to behave and the way of talking and manners. Sports is a medium to take him at a level where he learns how to act with his fellow players/teammates and how he can make himself fit and healthy. In schools, if the sports are necessary for every student then they can learn to collaborate with other persons and a level of personality builds in it. Of course the activeness and mental ability increases with games and yoga. Even from my personal experience, sports lead to a great concentration and healthy mind. When we think which sports could be suitable for children in school, then we find some answers itself like in play school there are many toys made to play with. When it comes in matric level, there may some games that can be played in short time of period and maximum output. There may any sport but all it needs a appropriate instructor for that. We can consider Volleyball, basketball. football, cricket, hockey as outdoor games and for indoor games we may consider Chess, badminton, TT etc. Also some competitions should be added so that they can stand for that and be prepared for any challenge without any fear.Thanks.

Correlation does not imply causation. In terms of physical fitness, being fit won't make you a successful academic. With that said, many successful professors have type-A personalities. Being competitive is just who they are. It reflects in many aspects of their lives, including sports, which leads to physical fitness.Sports and fitness are also a good way to balance the stress of an academic lifestyle. If you are still a student, take up a sport or two; it can really help when your experiment is failing for the 15th time. From my experience, I know many very successful professors (including Nobel laureates) who regularly play sports including squash, cycling, running, and even do triathlons. I also know others who are amazingly successful (including MacArthur “geniuses”) but who might not be considered physically fit. Perhaps, the later category is just too busy for lots physical activity!
