How much of being poor do you think is just people being lazy?
Some poor people are lazy, some work very hard, and the same for rich people. The biggest differentiators are:Poor people spend all they have, and more, Wealthy people spend less than they earn, and so increase their wealth. If you spend all you earn, you will never be wealthy, no matter how much money you make.Wealthy people see opportunities where others see only problems. If someone has a problem, that is an opportunity for someone to get paid for solving that problem.Wealthy people invest in assets, poor people buy bling, and stuff that depreciates. (A recent report found that the poorest 25% of Americans spend 40% of their income on luxuries.)
Why are poor people so lazy? Why don't they just pull themselves up by the bootstraps?
Poor people aren’t lazy.I’m poor because my mom made some bad decisions when she moved to America and dropped out of high school. Since then, she’s raised three kids all on her own, without the help of my dead-beat dad who only calls for his benefit. She’s either constantly working hard, doing odd jobs, cooking, cleaning, taking care of us, encouraging us to stay in school, and doing all she can as we moved from house to house throughout my whole life. She’s the hardest worker I’ve ever met, but she can still laugh and smile and attempt to give us what we need for school, and little things that we want.All she wants for us is to be successful in life and not do what she did. Currently my sister is in a university to be a type of detective, my brother is in university to be an accountant and is working an internship at the best accounting firm in the country. My mom has been saving money with my step dad to get a house back in Dominican Republic to settle in after we’ve all grown up and out of college. And me? I want to be a software engineer for Google.Just because we are poor, doesn’t mean we don’t know the value of hard work.
Why do conservatives see the poor as lazy?
I think a lot of it is coded racism. Poor minorities are the lazy ones. Poor whites just need jobs. And it's a powerful selling point to they're voting block. Emotional voting is what got Trump into office. Normally sane People threw all reason away by having they're underlying emotions stoked by a hater. Conservatives coined the phrases “welfare Queen, and the food stamp president.” Targeted specifically towards blacks.Some poor whites had no clue that programs for poor blacks, are the same programs for poor whites. So poor whites were convinced that they are poor through no fault of they're own. Other people and immigrants are the lazy ones. And they are here to take white jobs and white tax dollars to make more babies.Here's a thought. rich govermmet employees that take money from Corporations and get paid by your tax dollars, telling you that government is bad, and should not help you. And they have the best socialized government healthcare money can buy.Poor and lazy makes no sense to me. Who in the hell voluntarily wants to be poor and on welfare.Working hard means shit in today's world. An average person can work as hard as he/she wants and still not earn anywhere near what these politicians are making. I doubt very much that the republicans calling people lazy do not work harder than a teacher or a construction worker.
Why do some many Americans dress like slobs?
Lack of pride and lack of self esteem. They want to prove they can "do what they want" to the point where they make themselves look like idiots.
When rich and popular American women act like whores in public are they helping to destroy the US culture?
They are making it hard for all women. I really irks me when they act like it is OK to be whores because they come from money & look good. People get their ideas about America from the press and therefore we are all percieved to be whores in other countries & it isn't fair! There are plenty of women who don't act like this but you can forget about anyone believing it, they saw it on tv so it must be true.
How do I tell my girlfriend I'm a crossdresser?
I have an ex who is a cross-dresser and no, that's not why we broke up. We discovered we were great as friends, not so hot as lovers. Because of that experience I know you are not a perv. You are simply a man who really Loves the way women's clothes make him feel, right? You know love, were I in your shoes (no pun intended) I would rent an Eddie Izzard DVD or two. He's hilarious, he's straight, he crossdresses and aside from being a very good comic, comes across as a normal human being who happens to like women's pantsuits and heels. IF she cares about you, she may be confused by a straight man crossdressing, but she should still love you. Honestly, love, if she can't love you because you like to dress-up, is she worth keeping? What's moral? That is a very personal question. I would say honesty is moral except when a woman asks, "does this make me look fat?" Wish I had the magic wand to make you feel better! Intentionally hurting someone is NOT moral. If someone feels hurt by your reality, that really has more to do with them.
