Why Are Message From My Contacts Going To Spam

Anybody else getting weird spam messages?

well i have had a few but i do not get half as much as i used to because i use methods to reduce the amount of spam e-mails i receive

its just spam, they are not telling the truth
--------------------------------------...
these are some methods, techniques and websites to minimize the amount of spam messages you receive:

how to minimize the spam emails you receive:
-block the sender/s email address/es
-send the emails to your spam/bulk folder
-ignore them- do not reply
-DO NOT OPEN the e-mails if you know they are spam by the title
if you open them then the sender knows you have an active
email address and will continue to send them to you through various other email addresses, and they will sell your address on so other spammers will send you spam emails

How can I send a plain text email to 700 contacts without it going to spam or promotions?

You'll need to use a good email service provider (ESP) that also has a plain text email option. Look for ESPs that have good reputations, can send large volumes, and actively work with internet providers to ensure their customers' emails get delivered. Some good ESPs include ActiveCampaign, AWeber, Campaign Monitor, Constant Contact, Drip, HubSpot, Infusionsoft, MailChimp, and Ontraport, to name a few. You'll also want to use an email verification tool to maximize your email ROI. A good email verification service is fast, accurate, and easy to use. If you want to send emails like the big guys, without the resources to remember to do bulk email verification or developers to implement complicated APIs, then I recommend a solution I founded called mailfloss. It's a true set-it and forget-it solution that takes the pain out of bulk email verification. All you need is a supported ESP. The ones mentioned earlier in this answer are all supported, with more on the way. With a supported ESP, simply complete a one-time, 60 second setup that requires no technical knowledge or developer resources. Just connect the ESP to mailfloss, set some preferences, and that's it. From that point on mailfloss automatically keeps your email lists clean and validated.

How do some email spam messages that get sent to my Junk folder manage to "heal" their Junk status?

I assume you mean the spammer somehow gets another message past your spam filter. They are very clever and have studied how Gmail or Yahoo Mail algorithms sort out spam. It can’t be that complicated, such as keying in on words in the subject line or noting tons of email coming from one IP adress. The spammers simply keep changing their From addresses, IP addresses, and subject lines until they get past the filters. They’ve got lots of time on their hands and millions of email addresses. They’re gonna find a way to get you to bite.

How can we send messages to 1000+ contacts using whatsapp in one go?

I started using WhatsApp for marketing and client interaction a few months back. Recently I forwarded a promo for my business to more than 1000 contacts following which more than half didn't seem to be delivered and all new messages hang around for over 24 hours before being delivered. Moreover, my WhatsApp's app data has inflated to over 1gb, consuming valuable internal storage.Previously, I had created broadcast groups to do the same. However WhatsApp notified and froze my account for over 2 days, alleging spamming (which isn't the case since all my clients gave me their contact numbers with their own consent).Considering the possiblity that most of the clients didn't save my number in their contact list thereby not receiving broadcast messages, I resorted to forwarding messages. But there seems to be a blurry line that WhatsApp may or may have not defined for such actions to be targeted as spam.As it is, I understand that it is possible to send bulk messages in WhatsApp this way, but a certain gestation period has to be considered before forwarding to over 255 contacts.p.s. I'm open to advice and suggestions.

My yahoo mail account has started to spam all my contacts with this message http://healthx25568.volavushu....

There are a few options:

1) your account has been compromised, meaning they have your password etc. In that case, run a virusscan and spywarescan (update the programs first) and make sure your PC is clean. Then, change both password and secret question.

2) your address is being spoofed. This means they are pretending to send from your account, but actually are not. This is something i have not yet found a solution for - except delete and be patient.

3) you may have a virus that sends mail on your PC. run a full system scan with an up-to-date virusscanner. If you do not have one, Avast is free for home use, as is AVG, and both are pretty good.

What happens if I mark someone's message as spam on messenger?

It goes in your other messages folder if you aren't using messenger and can be accessed anytime from there via a laptop or a PC.If you're using messenger then it goes in your message request folder available under messenger option present adjacent to the 'active' option, both present in the menu icon. And yes the message once marked spam doesn't appear with your regular messages and won't bother or notify anymore until and unless either you message the person or maybe unspam it.

How do you make sure that a particular contacts emails never go in my junk folder?

The best way of keeping their email in your inbox is manually moving it there yourself and adding the sender to your contacts/favourites.Most systems decide if an email should go to your junk folder based on a series of fuzzy rules. Some of these you can control including:Do I regularly receive valid email from this sender?Have I recently sent an email to this personIs this sender in my contacts (even if you’ve never received email from them before)Some you have less control over:Does the content of their email look spammy - suspicious words or linksWas some aspect of the email forged, e.g. they set the from address to their work, but didn’t send it using their work’s email server. The sender mucking up technical details is something you have no control over, though if you notice it then they’d probably appreciate having it pointing out. For example if you have a contact who consistently goes into junk then maybe they have a strict SPF rule.Another thing to think about is whether you’re using a good filter. It would be worthwhile for you to use something good if you’re ordering drugs off the internet, discussing sex, or otherwise receiving valid emails whose content looks a bit like spam.

My Yahoo email account sent spam emails to all my Contacts List.?

On 11/13, I opened a brief “Hello-subject email from a friend, containing a message to ”Take a Look” at a link for a “Career” article, although that went to an obvious spam website for an internet affiliates program.

THEN, on 11/16 Friday-Saturday overnight, my Yahoo email SENT out this same email to all my Contacts list.

All my sent emails were listed in my Sent Folder.
It is puzzling that it did take a few day before these emails were sent.
Some were returned to my Inbox as non-deliverable/rejected by recipient.

*Can you tell me how the malware got into my Address Book, to generated these emails?
*Did the malware compromise just my Yahoo email, or also my PC computer?

I did get negative results on manual virus scans I ran on my PC, using Malwarebytes and others. My Norton 2012 Internet Security program did not catch the original email or website.

I have sinced changed my email password. I checked all my settings, as recommended on your Help page, and saw no changes. No further outgoing emails have been generated.

Error code -40032 in contacts what to do?

I received a spam message yesterday. As far as I can tell, it sent out to some of my contacts. Per Yahoo Help, I changed my password. Trying to send message to my contacts warning about the spam message. Want to create a list to do so. Every time I try to create a list, dialog box appears with the message "Something unexpected just happened. Contact Customer Care if problem persists. Error Code -40032". Problem has persisted. Can't find anything else on help and can't seem to contact customer care (it just loops me back to Help). Sometimes when I sign onto mail, my contacts page is completely blank. It has reappeared twice when I signed on later, but won't let me create a new list. Any suggestions?
