Why are my Kik messages stuck on 'D'?
Unfortunately some people have figured out how to sneakily ignore someone without reading the messages, 'S' means sending this often occurs when someone doesn't have Wifi connection or no internet signal. 'D' means delivered this means the message has been sent, one time I sent someone a message and a week later it still said 'D' I thought to myself, ''surely they would've read it by now if it's been delivered?'' well people have figured out if you delete the chat without clicking on it. it will still say delivered it just hasn't been read. 'R' means that the person you've sent the message to has read it. Also to answer your question the reason sometimes it goes straight from 'S' to 'R' may be because someone has left they're phone on your conversation and it's read instantly.

This may be due to two possible reasons :-It may be possible that recepient of the messages is ignoring you and not reading your messages intentionally. So it is a tucked at ‘D’.May be the recepient has blocked you on kik. Whenever someone blocks you on kik your messages are shown as D but they never get delevered to the recepient and hence he/she never read it.It's a feature of kik that whenever someone blocks you on kik your messages are shown as ‘D’ and blocked user think that there messages are getting delivered and can never know that they are being blocked.

If you can send messages to other people and it says "D" Then it delivered. So most likely your friends phone is either not logged in into Kik or the phone isn't connected or working. This happened with my friend. Her phones disconnected and she was using kik with wifi. So I knew every time she left home because it would say "S" lol .

Why is the message I sent someone on KIK stuck on S?
Yesterday I sent someone a message on KIK and I saw where the person read it because it said R. Then a few hours later when I sent the same person a message it said dark S. But it never changed to D at all and today it still says Dark S. I can still find the persons username on KIK so they haven't deactivated their account. The message is just stuck on dark S.

Well if it still says "d" after responding then it's a glitch don't worry but if they don't respond that means the person has blocked you or is not interested in talking or reading your message.

She may not have internet access at the moment, but when she does and is logged in it should change to D for delivered.

There are many variables. S-sending, D(solid/bold)— delivered, An opaque D is a iOS user who hasn't re-engaged the app. And R- read.My experience with is that the delivery notification system is extremely glitchy and unreliable. Also with sent messages. I'm not exactly clear as to why this is the case but I do know a possibility is the ever-changing programming and code. Also if your account is mature it's holding a lot of dead weight and this surely has an impact.I like to think of Kik like a rowdy teenager.. while Facebook is Hipster uncle with a personality disorder. Patience is key with both.All of this is within the official Kik software. Modded (altered) versions are customized and you can either present a R, (read) or mask the fact that you have actually read the post.The solid/ consistent D is an indicator that you've been blocked if 24 to 48 hours go by. The length of time is a personal goalpost not an educated observation.
