Why Are Omnivores Mean To Animals

If human's are supposed to eat meat why are we omnivores that have canine teeth?

personally i think humans compare more to herbivores because of our long digestive tract , saliva, stomach acidity, intestinal shape, claws and teeth, etc. I don't know anyone who has ever told me that we were supposed to eat meat and only meat. If humans have gotten this far eating meat and vegetables and pretty much whatever the hell they could eat it must not be too wrong right? I am vegan and have been for quite a while and my doctor says i am in great health. There just is no meant to be or not meant to be for that kind of stuff.

Are we humans omnivores ? does that mean its natural for us to eat both veg AND meat ?

We are indeed omnivores. We are free to choose what we wish to eat. Even vegans are technically omnivores. They just choose not to eat animal products, but could do so (in moderation as in all things) without harm to themselves if they so chose.

George---I eat raw fish, raw shrimp and raw beef....guess that ruins your argument eh?

King---omnivores with healthy diets eat "ruffage".....plants that sweep our intestines clean.

Krister---"Living in a house is unnatural."---why? All sorts of animals build homes for themselves. We're just animals making shelter, no different than a bird and a nest, a beaver and a dam, and your personal favorite, ants and an anthill.

SST-"have you ever tried to take a bite of an apple using just your molars?"--the reason you can't bite the apple is because it won't fit back there, not because your molars couldn't do the job. If you had molars for front teeth they would bite the apple just fine.

Maggie--"We as humans have perverted nature."---I disagree. As animals, we are part of nature. Everything we do is part of nature. Only the human ego views it differently.

Are humans omnivores?

By the way, have you ever seen a canines teeth, or been bitten by them. If so you would see that quite clearly are teeth are nothing like that, try biting your hand, I bet you will not be able to break the skin easy, if we had canine teeth you would easily break the skin.

Plus real omnivores and carnivores have acidic saliva to help with digestion, are saliva is alkali like herbivores and we have long digestive systems unlike carnivors and omnivores who have long digestive systems. We have to cook meat before consuming it or we would become very ill, do you ever see a real omnivore or carnivore standing over a hot stove grilling some decomposing flesh?

Then there is the fact that real omnivores and carnivores have the ability to kill their food without tools all they need is their claws teeth and agility, do you think you could do that? Also if you saw a dead animal corpse in the middle of the road, do you rip into the flesh and feast on the raw muscle of the animal? (if so I would be worried).

Quite clearly we have nothing in common with Carnivores or omnivores, and everything in common with herbivores, it is just basic biology.

If Primates are herbivores, why are we omnivores?

many primates will eat insects.
Chimps will hunt and kill small monkeys.

humans developed the intelligence and skill to make hunting tools and and hunt in organized groups (wolves also hunt in organized groups)
then humans learned how to domesticate wild animals so they could farm them they increased the amount the meat in their diet.
we don't have the strength of a lion or the speed of a cheetah or the specialized tongue of anteater but we used our brains to learn how to get meat for our diet. but we still eat a large amount of fruit and vegetable.

Why do omnivores hate vegetarians?

I'm vegetarian because for a weird reason. I'm tired of all the slaughtering of animals in the country. I'm Filipino. I have been vegetarian since I was about 10. I'm 14 now. I literally hate Filipino food, because 98% of it is meat. My parents weren't very happy about it, because I weighed about 110 pounds when I was eating meat, but now I'm about 92. I don't get sick easily. In fact, I believe that my immune system is higher

But here's the story that influenced my vegetarianism (I believe)
When I was about 4, I was I living in the Philippines. I saw my grandpa beheading a chicken, slaughtering a pig and a cow, and cutting a still alive fish. It was truly terrible. Blood was everywhere, and the "crack" of the chicken's head sent me shudders. I had nightmares until I was seven. They temporarily stopped and returned when I was ten. That was when I became a vegetarian.

No, I don't get tempted to eat meat, I grew out of that temptation when I was 12.

Some of my friends make fun of me for being vegetarian. They call me "skinny *****" and think I'm vegetarian because I want to lose weight o_o. My cousin sad he hates vegetarians because they are "inconsiderate and mean." What. But really, I have nothing against omnivores.
