Why Are People In My Office So Hateful - Making Good Money With A Small Amout Of Work Required

Why are people so jealous of younger people with nice cars?

Ok, so I'm young and started a really good marketing and advertising business a couple years ago that has and is making me a lot of money. I am really good at what I do and I have been interested in business since I was a little kid.

I recently bought a really nice, newer model Porsche Cayman. Every now and then I'll get really dirty looks, nasty and rude comments like "daddy's car". My question is why are people so jealous and hateful? Is it because they're not nearly as successful as I am, especially for a really young age?

Now I'm certainly not going to let a bunch of lowlives ruin my Porsche owning experience as this is a great, fun care and I absolutely love driving and owning it.

Why do poor people get so much stuff....?

I'm not jealous of them- that's a really immature answer on your part. As the first poster mentioned- try volunteering at some of these places and you'll see what I mean. Obviously each person will walk away with his/her own impression but I've seen enough to know that the govt does a swell job of creating a perceived dependancy that many of these people do not have (not in the least). Always interesting to me that immigrants who come here the legal way (non english speaking ones, at that) do a bang up job of working hard to make ends meet whereas here in the U.S. we have this entitlement complex that can prove to be absolutely paralyzing to the poorest of the poor (which in turn effects us all). I can only point to myself as an example because my parents were immigrants from the islands and they never went on welfare because, goodness, they didn't even know about it. All they knew to do was to work the 2 or 3 jobs to start out with. Anyone can do that.

Why do people in the USA hate the DMV so much?

One of my job function is to support some aspects of a DMV, so I'll give you some perspectives and thoughts:1.  DMV's have an atrocious problem with uneven demand.  EVERYBODY shows up at the DMV in about 3 days at the end of the month, and the first two or three days of it.  Go to a DMV in the middle of the month, and you will likely find far shorter lines.  But unlike many private companies, DMV's can't easily scale staffing up and down.  Tough background checks and often old and crappy systems make for long training and onboarding cycles, making temps untenable, and many other functions of government are also month end heavy, making it hard to rotate employees in.2.  NOBODY EVER WANTS TO GO TO THE DMV.  Seriously.  You will never have a customer who's happy to be there.  It's a grating job that wears people down and makes them hate life.  But you have to be there, and so do DMV employees..  Nobody is going to be chipper after all that.  3.  It's a shitty job, usually with modest pay, yet surprisingly complex procedures, software, controls, and policy that basically sucks for employees and customers.  When policy is written or passed by the legislature, nobody cares what impact it will have on the front line at the DMV.  Add 20 minutes to the wait?  Make employees enter data in five separate systems?  Meh, not their problem.  Nobody votes an elected official out of office because the DMV sucks.  (If they did, it would not suck anymore).   Further, The best way to be fired at the DMV is to break policy.  Which is a good way to make damn sure that nobody goes above and beyond to help a customer a little extra.  Being slow won't get you fired, but breaking policy will.4.  Telephone and internet services are afterthoughts constrained by hidebound legal requirements that nobody has bothered to update since 1946, and which make it damn near impossible to deliver quality service to people.  (Some states are much better than others here).5.  DMV's are often run by people whose primary job isn't to run the DMV.  County assessors, some random state agency, whatever...  They have bigger fish to fry and more pressing concerns.  The DMV is simply neglected. At the end of the day, the DMV isn't much worse than customer service at any pseudo-monopoly.  And with no motivation to improve, it won't.

Why do liberals love regulations and hate small businesses?

The reason that corporations are 'taking over our lives' is because there are NOT ENOUGH regulations. If you think that removing regulations are letting them do whatever they want is the answer then you don't know what you are talking about. The whole reason that the Housing Crisis happened (and those who contrived, executed and walked away unscathed with BILLIONS) was due to a lack of regulations.

Why are American Bullies Hated?

Every question I see about american bullies have plenty negative comments under it. Calling the dog mix and fat and ugly and useless. Why? because they are mixed? Just like every dog their is, or is it because people have nothing better to do than be hateful. I hate seeing people standup for pitbulls then trash talk bullies. A dog is a dog so stop being idiots for no reason towards a dog just because it's not your style. F@$&@&G idiots

Why do people treat others that are on medicaid like trash?

I'm just mind boggled at how awful medical people treat people on Medicaid. Humanity is gone 110% of that I'm sure. I've worked since i was 16 and at 25 got married an had a baby, my husband still works an I stay home to raise our child so money is tighter and medicaid covers us neither of us smoke or do drugs we are well groomed and yet we still get treated as if we walked out of a trailer with a cigarette hanging from our faces and tattered clothes an asking for a free hand out, but that's not the case we pay our taxes and once my son is in school full time I'll get back to the mundane job scene and we'll be off medicaid , so I don't understand how people especially medical field people can treat us like We are a lower class citizen when we clearly pay taxes and I personally have been since I was 16 and will again once my child's in school. Wanting to live humbly and raise my child and not trying to keep up with the jones and society frowns upon it like my family is lazy and thats the farthest from the truth we still work an pay our taxes. I'm just putting my child first not my career, there will be plenty of time for that later down the road. I don't mind having to budget our money what bothers me how people see us as a lazy lower class citizen for being on medicaid.
