I'm losing my faith in Islam....?

Salaam Aliakim Sister

I know those feelings. I have had them. But I realize being human its quite easy to let ones daily life get in the way of our connection to Allah. Also the western world constantly uses propaganda against our Iman. I am not giving you or myself excuses. I am pointing to our weaknesses. Sister you are Muslim. There is no where to take ones soul after Islam! I know there have been times I considered a return to Christianity. Its so much easier and it would please the majority of my family. BUT there is a problem. I don't, can't and won't believe in any professed God. Allaah or nothing. Not by choice but by faith. I see corruption in Islam people and get discouraged. I must remember that Islam is not about the people or the religion it is about a relationship with Allaah and obedience to His desires for us. Take your religion out of the equation for a moment and simply focus one on one with Allah the most merciful, oft forgivng. You will return your enthusiasm. Don't let guilt betray you little sister.

I'm losing my faith in Allah?

Slm sisters/brothers.

I'm very worried about losing my iman. Lately I've been questioning religion a lot. Ive been through a tough time and its effecting me in this way. I feel like laughing every time i pray salaat. I feel like its futile or a waste of my time. I hate this because a part of me still believes. I think its ridiculous to believe in any God sometimes. I don't want to be an atheist but I'm slowly becoming one. I don't want jahanum and I feel like that's where I'm heading.
My family is conservative and I was raised with strict Islam. In my childhood I had learning difficulties and I struggled to learn Islamic knowledge. I would curse Islam because I felt stupid all the time. For a while I haven't felt that way, but those feelings are returning.
I'm 19 years old now.

Sometimes I see the way that Muslims conduct themselves and I don't want to be a part of it. All the hatred that Muslims show towards other people. The way we treat each other. I'm sick of it I guess.

How do I restore my faith in Islam before it's too late.

What are the facts that increase your Imaan (Faith) in Allah?

I am driving a car, Allah gave humans such amazing intelligence that they have advanced so far from the day they discovered wheel. SubhanAllah! Hundreds of men and women pass by with their needs and desires, Allah created each one of them, AllahuAkbar!! Oh! These trees they look so random and still just perfect for this setting, Allah decides which leave goes where, which ones turn brown, which ones drop to the ground. SubhanAllah!! The cows, is my existence just like this poor animal? Will I just eat and masticate and then die for nothing? I dont think so, Alhamdullillah! This flea that somehow entered my car and now is annoying me. I marvel at the sound its making, Allah loves it and me too InshAllah. The sunshines, though the sky is not blue SubhanAllah!!This moment, yes this moment when I thought that why I am what I am. This moment has all the answers that I need to believe in Allah SWT.A blessed born Muslim but I follow Islam as a personal choice, ALHAMDULILLAH.What increases my Imaan? Everything! Yes even Islamophobia and when people blatantly lie to negate what I follow, it makes me stronger in my faith. Allah SWT has made an ah-mazing world with an order that increases my faith in Him.

What do you do when your iman is low?

Aslam-o-Alikum,
How are you sister? One way to increase your Iman is you pray 5 times a day regularly and ask Allah to strengthen your Iman, also by reading Quran and doing what Allah has ordered you and also following Sunnah of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH), with all these your Iman will be increased..InshaAllah. May Allah increase every Muslim's Iman...Ameen
I hope I helped

What efforts are done to keep up your Iman (faith)?

A believer has to give effort and strive himself to be steadfast in Islam. So what efforts are done by you to keep up and increase your faith. How are your daily tasks scheduled?

For eg: How much of your time is spend in reading Holy Quran or Hadith or gaining knowledge etc.

This is just for me to schedule my 24 hours in the best of ways. Sometimes I feel I am unbalanced as I spends more time for what is not a necessary but permitted. I would like to know from my brothers & sisters your schedules or least tell me the best schedule for a Muslim to spend his or her 24 hours of the day.
Jazakallah Khyr.

I lost my iman. What do I do to get it back?

First I want to ask you. Whats Iman? or Whats your Iman? If you think fasting and praying namaz is Iman then thats not Iman, thats Islam. Iman is belief. Here is the most simple and effective definition of Iman by the Father of Sufism and the 4th Caliph Ali Ibn Abi Talib. When Imam Ali (a) was asked about faith (iman), he replied: The structure of faith is supported by four pillars: Patience (Sabr), Conviction (yaqin), Justice (`adl) and Struggle (jihad). Then he explained further: Patience comprises of four attributes: Eagerness, fear, piety and anticipation (of death). So, whoever is eager for Paradise will ignore evil temptations; whoever fears the fire of Hell will abstain from sins; whoever practices piety will easily bear the difficulties and hardships of the life of this world and whoever anticipates death will hasten to perform good deeds.

Is it normal to be extremely scared of losing your iman?

Don't listen to everything truth seeker says about Husain(ra) the shia exaggerate an event we were not meant to continually mourn and ponder over.

And if it was meant to be remembered Allah would have made it very very clear unto mankind that it should be.

By this fear you have insha'Allah Allah will guide on sirat al-Mustaqeem. The best suggestion anyone can give you is to read and listen to Qur'an.

It is a balm for the hearts of men and it is a guide for us.

Adhere to it and the sunnah of the blessed messenger(saws) and you will not fear being thrown in hell or Allah's displeasure insha'Allah.

Another important thing is doing a lot of dhikr and dua.

Ask Allah for prtoection from Hell and praise and remember him at all times. Never ever forget him.

Always fear him but love him for granting you the fear and for his blessings of making you a muslim and choosing you above most of mankind to dwell in everlasting bliss with the rest of the pious!

In the hereafter and on the day of resurection no fear shall be on you nor shall you grieve if you do right.

Keep reflecting on Allah and his punishments and ALWAYS TRUST ALLAH! Don't doubt that you will be able to keep your faith, trust that he will strengthen it, in fact make dua and ask him yourself to increase it for you, he knows what's in your heart and does not send people astray unless they follow shaytan.

Remembering death ,Allah etc is a good thing! read Qur'an you'll see! People with no faith forget these things and that's why they disbelieve!

Learn about Islam and read Qur'an and authentic hadiths and try to do as many good deeds as you can, and remember the best deeds are those which are done regularly even if they are small, and make sure you have pure intentions of pleasing Allah.

You can email me if you have any islamic questions or anything! :)
