Why are people my age so immature?
Some people aren't as open to the outside world as you may be. Others may not know what it is like to be mature. I know people say it gets better with age, and I hope that's true. Many times in my life, I've wished that I could have a way of being in an adult's body, so that others would take me seriously. Unfortunately, I think fourteen year olds are immature because they have no way of knowing what mature is. I wish that helped more than I think it did. I'd also like to add that there are other fourteen year olds who think more maturely out there in the world, and if you look hard enough, you'll find them. I know you didn't want any fourteen year olds answering this question, but I'm thirteen, and I hope this helped to some degree. :)
Why are people my age so immature.?
okay I'm 13, almost 14 and in he 8th grade. Everyone says i act too old for my age when I think they act too young. Okay given I've probably gone through more crap in my life then them but still. The girls in my school view me as a freak. (take note that i live in rural Oklahoma and most of these kids haven't been outside of the county =\) But i don't see whats so freakish about me, okay i play my music loud have super long hair and wear a lot of black, and have heavy eyeliner. I don't get why they're so closed minded also given that i'm not exactly into they're generation of hip hop and rap, but listen to hardcore and metal =\ (i know i sound Gothic but trust me i'm not) They also make fun of me because i draw anime/manga ( they also say its goth to draw now) i don't get the constant criticisms, i don't bother them, why bother me then the guys bother me any chance they get, okay given i'm not the skinniest most perfect looking person in the world, but for god sakes they're asses to anyone they don't have a chance of getting laid on the first date with. okay my 8th grade class has 11 people 5 girls and 6 guys. the only girls that they are nice to are the ones that don't hang out with me and my only friend. apparently we're "fat" when thats far from the truth, we are simply curved women, and frankly more mature then them, but why are they so immature? what makes them not grow up and leave people be about thier flaws or habits or the way they dress. thank you for reading my long question <3
Why do people my age seem so immature?
I don’t know how old you are but I am guessing you are under 25 and the human brain is not fully developed until 25 years old.This does not only apply to men but also women so I am not going to go there are say women are more mature than men because I don’t believe that as I personally see just as many immature women as I do men.If you are older than 25 then they are just immature people.Another thing is you could be setting standards too high.All in all though I think people in many ways are more immature these days than they once were. However, in some ways we are more mature these days especially around the subject of being gay etc, try being a gay person in the 1950s o my goodness.
Why are people my age so immature and impolite?
Currently, I'm thirteen. Most people at my age just call each other retards and more.I am a very polite, but introverted, person. I say my please, thank you, and bless you's.; it's how I was brought up. I have very civil arguments. For example, my friend and I love space. We had an argument about black holes. He won the argument, and he won by pointing out that it was a theory. But, kids my age would tell him to die. Is it my school's area, or just benefit familys are more impolite?
How do you deal with people who are very immature for their age?
You deal with them as though they actually were the age they act. It bothers you because she can help it, but doesn't. Unfortunately, as stepmom or "not-mom" as kids see it, there isn't much you can do---but you are an adult and should be respected. It's fine if she acts like a baby but set boundaries and don't let her cross. Let her father handle the issues that don't directly relate to you.
People say I look and act immature for the age of 17. How should I look and act my age?
Lol. Act the way you feel. Acting immature for your age isn't necessarily bad. Some people act way older than their age. It's a personal growth and you shouldn't act how people expect you to act. Today I think children always grow up faster than they should. For instance, I remember when I was a child and I always thought to myself, “ I can't wait until I'm old enough to drive, old enough to be in my own, old enough to do this, to do that…. Now that I'm old enough to do everything I wished for…I wish I was a child again…being an adult is over rated. Don't worry about people who tell you that. I don't know how old you are, but I'm simply saying, don't be in a rush to grow up…because we all grow up eventually, and the older you get, the faster you get older. You will see what I mean. Time flies, have fun while you are still young enough to enjoy it.

Why do I hate people my age?
I'm a 14 year old girl and as I watch the way people my age act is disgusts me. They are so immature and they don't understand how to be independent. The girls act like hoes and always need a boys approval. Oh and where gross booty shorts. The boys act like complete jerk offs and think they are the **** cause they were flat rim hats. (this is just a generalization). I don't understand my generation? Besides my close friends everyone else bothers me. I don't know if it's because I am more mature than others or because they are just so immature. Oh and the freaking music they listen to is GARBAGE! I don't get why you would want to listen to some rap crap when you could listen to classics like frank Sinatra, dean Martin, Andy Williams ect. Do adults hate kids my age also?

lol i know completely what you mean. People your age are immature because they are often spoilt, thus bringing about an abnoxious attitude and personality. They are also influenced by their natural instincts to form as a pack and impress their peers (being cool). For those of us which can see people for what they truly are, we tend to be recognised as 'different' because we often choose to not be part of such a charade. Thus, we are rejected, and cast into the darkness, left to do as we wilt. Many use their solitude to improve their knowledge and thus getting a head start in life and improving their chances for the future. Others try and pretend to be something their not so they can feel the sensation of acceptance, even though they know inside it will never last. It's people like us who are often labelled as 'nerds', 'dorks', 'freaks', 'loners', 'geeks', or whatever insulting word you wish to impose. Though you might not like to think of yourself as such things, you might be insulted by my statement and claim to yourself that you are 'normal'. But hey, who cares? Point being, you have two basic options: 1. Pretend and blend in with the blind 2. Be different and do whatever the hell you want without a second thought for what the others think. Your choice. It will only do you better in the long run, you won't get too far acting like a kid all your life. Same situation with me, doesn't bother me at all, you think your situation is bad? Try not drinking in college because your too mature. You get the occasional, boring line but seriously I would rather be boring then reckless or stupid. Best advise, find someone with a similar maturity level, they are out there, just gotta look a little harder.
